Finally got my hands on the most recent version of this album, it's quite a bit different than the 2005 version that I've shared previously! Here it features new vocals from Makoto, new keyboard and guitar parts from Akira and Haruhiko, as well as a new mix. Still lovely as ever <3 The quality suffers a bit here due to having to compress it to fit tumblr's file size limit, but I've uploaded it on youtube in much higher quality :3
Hey tumblr, it's been a minute! I've been taking the time over the summer to get some CD's and scan them in high quality, and I've been uploading them to youtube! Recently I was finally able to get "Signal" from Serenades former guitarist, Masayuki Takatsu. The album contained Serenade recordings that I have not been able to find anywhere else! So I took the time to remaster them and correct the speed so I can share them here :3
Haruhiko Tsuda - Roland TR808 Drum Machine, Roland MC-4 Micro Composer Hiroko Tsuda - Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 Kazuto Shimizu - Yamaha DX7 Kunihito Shi-na - Guitar
After Shingetsu broke up, members of the band reunited in 1984 to create music under the project "Phonogenix" - I recently purchased this record and recorded it in audiophile quality, and did my best to clean up any pops or crackles (since this is not available digitally) Haruhiko Tsuda - LinnDrum programming, Yamaha DX7, Roland MC-4 Micro Composer Akira Hanamoto - Piano Hiroshi Ishibata - Bass Kunihito Shi-na - Guitar
Amazing performance of The Voyage for Killing Love Part 2, from their concert at ABC Kaikan Hall, celebrating the release of their debut album <3
Recording of HAL performing live in 1976, this band featured Naoya Takahashi, Haruhiko Tsuda, Hiroko Tsuda, and Yoshiyuri Sakurai. Naoya and Haruhiko would go on to join Shingetsu just a couple years later, with Hiroko joining them as a backing keyboardist in the Fall of 1979!
Thanks to Takashi Kokubo (the person who programmed the synthesizers as well as played backup keyboards for Shingetsu in 1979), this considerably rare recording has been made easy to access! It features Takashi on drums and vocals, and Haruhiko on guitar, recorded in the summer of 1975, at The University of Electro-Communications in Chofu, Japan.
Below is a link for this album on his Bandcamp, there is also a Hal & Ring album available, which is another project of Haruhiko's, as well as Naoya's
This song is quite an interesting one! This is taken from demo tapes recorded by Makoto, Akira, and Haruhiko either just before or after Shingetsu’s break up in 1981. This song was most likely first written for Shingetsu’s second album
Recently I covered Take Hikaru for fun, I figured I'd share it here with y'all 💜
This song isn't included on the other live CD I have, so I decided to try and remaster it and upload it here for y'all to listen to! It originally had ungodly amounts of tape hiss, so I did what I could to eliminate it without ruining the quality otherwise
Shingetsu - Return of the Night (新●月 - せめて今宵は) Live at ABC Kaikan Hall, July 25th/26th, 1979
Shingetsu - She's Not Coming Home (新●月 - 少女は帰れない) Live at ABC Kaikan Hall, July 25th/26th, 1979
Good morning y'all! I recently got ahold of Shingetsu's live albums, and I decided to sync the audio with the promo videos they recorded for the albums release to give the illusion we're watching them live ☺️ it's something I've wanted to do for years and I'm glad I can finally present it
A very early rendition of The Voyage For Killing Love when the band still went as Serenade, from 1976 <3
