From what I heard, you’re the one begging for me.
Hey Elsa. I heard you wanted some of this.
At this moment in time he wished he couldn’t hear. Opening his mouth wide, faking a yawn, his branches stretching out wide.
❛ How my heart breaks for you — Do you have any other stories to bore me with? ❜
Olaf was of a simple mind, he was truly innocent. He was formed from loved an care and that whats riddled his body.
Unlucky for Olaf, having twelve older brothers also gave you a long string of patience. Instead of speaking, Hans patted down his coat and brought out a matchbox.
“It’d be so sad for the snow around here to melt,” he sighed softly, seemingly to himself though the point was clear. “Just tragic.”
As his brows furrowed eyes falling onto the male. Instantly his branches raised turning his head the right way round. He would rather have a button for a nose than talk to this ‘animal’.
❛ Sorry I don’t speak with losers. ❜
If anything, Hans seemed amused by his comment.
“Surely you have better than that. With twelve older brothers you hear everything from loser to idiot to insults I dare not mention around such innocent...erm, ears. Do snowmen have ears?” Because if ‘loser’ was the most the snowman could come up with, then he was indeed innocent.

Princess Anna had been betrothed to one of the princes of the Southern Isles. Victor was his name. She honestly had no idea who he was or what he was like. Her parents had made the arrangements. Anna wasn’t too keen on the idea, but she was willing to comply. On the condition that she knew what she was getting into. However, this meant that she had to go to the Southern Isles and find out for herself.
She didn’t announce her arrival. She took a boat and sailed between the islands. Once she arrived on the Southern Isles, she rented a horse, not wanting to be recognized as a royal. She wore a nice, but simple dress, and her red cloak and hood. Her long strawberry blonde hair in two braids that fell past her shoulders. Mounting the horse, Anna countinued her journey towards the castle.
Just as she was getting close, and the day was turning to early evening, Anna’s horse got spooked by something and started to run out of control. “Whoa!! Whoa!! Slow down!!” She called out, trying to pull on the reins and get the horse to stop. It was going way too fast.
The castle was becoming insufferable, an amazing feat given that Hans was used to the way his family, if it could be called that, treated him. Unlucky Prince number thirteen, that was Hans. His whole life had been dogged by ill-luck. Twelve older brothers, some who pretended he didn’t even exist, and all with accomplishments far above his own. Any hope of reaching the throne was non-existent and yet he felt he would be best for it. But that wasn’t to be his future. Instead, he had entered the navy and served as an Admiral. One of his older brothers held the position of Admiral of the Fleet, of course. He was the thirteenth son.
And with Victor getting married, the throne was even further away. With everything going on, he knew no one would miss him if and Sitron stole away for the afternoon. He opted to go out in more simple clothes, knowing no one would recognize him anyway given that his brothers were much more popular.
He was outside the city when a saw horse go out of control and take off with it’s rider, a young woman. Instinct kicked in and he urged Sitron into a gallop. A few minutes later and he was beside her.
“Miss,” he called as he rode up beside her. Their horses were neck and neck as the galloped across the field and he let his own reigns go, knowing Sitron would keep them steady, and used both his hands to grab the woman and pull her over to his own saddle.
Sitron pulled off and slowed down to a more mangable pace, giving the two time to catch their breath.
❛ Laugh away but a little help would be nice. Please? ❜
“Dare I ask how such a feat was managed?”
❛ I was hoping to find something in you that justified sparing you execution ——given your crimes I don’t see the Southern Isles starting a war over their disgraced thirteenth son. You’re clearly not your father’s priority. ❜ Which made the things Anna told her more believable. If they didn’t care what happened to him now had they ever cared. ❛ Why do you do this? Why do you keep fighting anyone who tries to help you? ❜ She had hoped, for reasons she didn’t understand, that Anna was right. She didn’t want to believe that anyone was this cruel and so full of malice without a reason and than if you were patient they would come around.
❛ I want to help you and I owe it to Anna to try. ❜ It was really a matter of when to quit. ❛ I’m going to send a page to speak to William and Victor. If they’ll vouch for you and a fair agreement can be reached I’ll let you got home. If not …..I can’t rick letting you free. I’m sorry. ❜ Taking a cleansing breath Elsa turned to leave, she cast him a single glance before walking up the steps but there was no amount of distance that would make her decision any easier.
Anna was likely right. He chose this path because it’s all he knows and without anyone to show him a new one he would never change, did he want to change was the next logical questions and only time would tell.
“It wouldn’t be about my character at that point,” he told her. “It’d be a matter of honor. Executing me without consulting my family? It would be terribly rude of you.”
He sighed softly at her question, as if he was contemplating something.
“It doesn’t matter why I did it, does it?” Because if it did to her, she wouldn’t already be walking away. “I don’t blame you, of course. No one listens to me anyway so I will continue sitting down here quietly.”
And he turned to sit on his bed once more, the hard mattress creaking under his weight, and he brought his legs up on the bed to cross them.
Anna was silent for several moments, considering her answer. “Because despite everything you’ve done, you’re still a human being.” She said, quietly. A sigh left her lips at the mention of Kristoff. He was right. He wouldn’t be too happy. If he knew. “He doesn’t know I’m here.”
“I mean, he will. I don’t keep secrets from him. I just haven’t told him yet.” A slight roll of her eyes followed at his congratulations. “You weren’t. Nor were you welcome. Don’t mistake my generosity as anything but me taking pity on you.”
She knew she was in a dangerous situation. Something she hadn’t realized upon stepping foot in the dungeon. Oh, she knew Hans couldn’t hurt her. And he couldn’t. But, the man before her was quite skilled in the art of manipulation. He was good at twisting words and making people believe things.
Anna was not going to allow him to have any power over her. Not this time. “If you don’t want the sandwiches, I’m sure Sven will appreciate them.”
Pity. He turned to hide his closed over face from her. This was an opportune moment and he wasn’t letting it go to waste.
“I’d hate to add sandwich-refuser to my list of crimes. That would for sure land me at least an extra years worth of punishment.” Hans faced her once more, his smile back in place. “And you went through all the trouble for me. It would be rude not to accept.” He was also tired of whatever glop the guards were serving him.
Hans now has an amazing playlist and you should go check that out if you wanna cause I really like it.
❛ It’s spring water —the filthy fjord is salt water. ❜ She had chosen the more ridiculous of reasons to come here tonight, this arguing banter got neither of them what they wanted. ❛ My concern isn’t whether or not you choose to drink it. ❜ Her concern was….yet to be determined. ❛ I sent another letter to your father last week but he hasn’t responded. Again. I’m considering sending someone in person to see if there is any chances you can be sent home to serve the rest of your sentence, with the stipulation you do not set foot in Arendelle again of course. Were it my choice you would spent the rest of your life behind bars. Men like you don’t change, you’ve proven that. You only change tactics.❜
Anna had put it in her head that he was better off in the Southern Isles, then even men like Hans are capable of changing if given the chance. But for three weeks Elsa observed him and she saw none of the potential her sister did. Furthermore it was concerning her now married sister visited him at all.
❛ I can’t keep you here. People are asking question and the counsel is pressuring me to end this before you become a risk again but I cannot fathom taking a life, no matter what you’ve done. ❜
Of course she had sent a letter to his father. He was not looking forward to the conversation that would occur from it.
“I’m not surprised he hasn’t responded. He does have twelve other sons to consider, plus his kingdom. And I’m sure I’ve caused quite the scandal back home. I assume... either William or Victor has been instructed to take care of me. They’re the most responsible, you see.” He rolled his eyes softly.
“Also, wouldn’t it be a bit of a tight diplomatic situation to be executing the son of a foreign kingdom? Despite what my family thinks of me, I can’t imagine war would be too far off the horizon then.”
Hans sat up and stepped closer to the bars, hands behind his back. “So what did you come down here for? Do you need my permission to send your little envoy? Do you want my advice on which brother to approach? Or were you here to reprimand me?” He held out his hand. “Would you like to slap my wrist?”
