My dad is legit gonna play one of the Fallout games because the show was so good I'm afraid he's gonna play New Vegas and find out that the reason I think my great grandpa was so fuckin' cool was because he was an Arizona Ranger and they are the coolest motherfuckers in the Mojave wasteland. I am however excited for him to tell me he picked Rose of Sharon Cassidy as a main companion because I know he will. Although he might surprise me and pick up Boone for a while. I'll just have to convince him that Veronica is the best girl when I tell him she punches for a living.

i went to a gunstore that opened recently and they had both a very small aquarium with piranhas in it and a very small tank with rattlesnakes in it i mean you could obviously tell that's what they were but they had little plaques on each so you could read and find out that you have a genuine badass running that store because he's so dangerous he keeps DANGEROUS FISH AND SNAKES IN HIS STORE

When I was in 1st grade back in (checks notes) 1995 my family moved to upstate New York. In Washington we had to say the Pledge of Allegiance every day which was a weirdly nationalistic thing to do but whatever. In New York we had to pledge to the flag every day which was normal but then directly afterward we'd have to sing "This Land Is Your Land" by Mr. Guthrie. It didn't have any of the cool verses that explicitly endorsed Mr. Guthrie's socialist tendencies but it was still a fucking wild thing to have endured. At no point were we ever told anything it was just a fucking song we had to sing and much like the pledge we were all just bored by the routine. That was that particular teacher's routine and it's wild to think about her. She was the organist at the local Catholic church and I know that because she would playfully punch my arm whenever I sat on the edge of the pew. I'd kill to ask her if it were intentional or if she just thought it was a standard American unification song.
