Finally got my stuff listed from FLUKE! Check out the new stuff and old stuff- I’ve got a lot of retiring things and only one more copy of the anthology I was in!
I’d also like to take this moment to say that since I finally have my top surgery consultation scheduled, all funds from my store will be going towards that. :)
ayy just so y'all know I'm crossposting this series to ComicFury for posterity. I'm also adding image descriptions for each page so hopefully it'll be friendly for screen readers - please don't hesitate to reach out and let me know if that's not working well for some reason.
The title above the comic strip reads 'a new species'. The first panel depicts Alphie hunched down looking at a large mushroom on the ground beneath a big tree. They have a mushroom field guide open and look confused, saying '?? this one isn't in the field guide..." The next panel has Alphie getting extremely startled as the mushroom opens its eyes and looks up at them, saying 'hi'.
*tapping the sign* not kidding around with the bottom disclaimer, this is going to be my extremely self indulgent comic with no update schedule. Good luck!
Priority uploading will be on comic fury my beloved. Will cross post here when I care to. Once again: good luck!
[img ID: text at top reads “moderncryptids.thecomicseries.com” and “tumblr.com/modern-cryptids”. A purple cyclops with long cleft feet sits on a tree stump holding a pocket knife wears a yellow bandana and green poncho. They look smug. They say, “I’m ALPHIE, government name "Alphabet Broth”, and I’m coming to YOUR town to cause mayhem.“ At the bottom text reads "updating: whenever I feel like it!”]

Doodle commission of @mikiruma ‘s OC Clixie, whom I love with my whole heart <3
Commission info here
ID: Simple black and white line drawing of a chubby girl (computer program) named Clixie smiling and blushing with hearts in her eyes at the viewer while saying “it’s nice to meet you!” Her long hair is pulled up into two buns on her head and she wears a puffy sleeved blouse with a short tie, black wraps around her wrists, black nail polish, skirt with circles on either side, and high heels with straps around the ankles.
Crocheted a little pad to display my felted guys on for FLUKE and other shows! The placemat pattern is by Christine at crochetcricket.ca, the flowers are from kundhi.com and June Gilbank from planetjune.com, and the clovers are from neacreates.com (without the stem). The placemat yarn is some terrible red heart acrylic yarn we were gifted and I was desperately trying to use up.
[ID: First image has Ashe and Beans, previously needle felted mushrooms, standing on a round green placemat adorned with blue flowers with white centers and dark green clover appliqué. The second image is a clearer photo of the placemat to show off detail.]
Here’s a little preview of a new zine for FLUKE! I will be putting copies in my online shop as well next month. I wanted to share some of my favorite non-Disney/Universal animatronics and put together a little guide of drawings to hopefully inspire people to go down web search rabbit holes of their own! The finished zine will be 12 pages of black and white illustrations and text.
My main inspiration for this was reading through the backlog of @animatronicappreciation as well as using the Dark Ride Database website and YT and Sally Dark Rides’ site. Thank you especially to the mods at Animatronic Appreciation, as you can tell I was highly inspired by y’all’s work!!!!!

p1 Greyscale cover with the title “Appreciating Animatronics!” in front of a carved rock lion prowling facing the viewer with a sun-like mane around its head and scales going down its body nearly to its feet. The subtitle below it reads “a picture book & guide to some of my favorite lesser known bots”. Below that it says “by ingram”.
p2 This page is dominated by the curved dark arch of a bridge, with water underneath it that a mostly obscured swamp thing type creature is slowly rising out of. The text above it reads “Bertha has a long history - based on a Ngarrindjeri nation story of the mulyawonk, she was installed in 1972 by Dennis Newell, transitioned, had a kid, and survived countless instances of vandalism. I love her new model but the old, scarier one is also wonderful. <3″ Below that in the darkness above her head text reads “Bertha the Bunyip, created by DH Newell Plastics, Murray Bridge, South Australia”. Below her in the water between her emerging claws text reads “rising sloooooowly out of her murky waters......”
p3 This page has a cartoon of the robot Zappomatic on the left and text on the right. Zappomatic looks confused and has a gloved hand up to his head, his wide grin stretched wide as he looks on. He wears a pilot helmet, fluffy scarf, suspenders to hold up chap pants, a holster with a gun, and roller skates on his feet. The text reads “Zappomatic from The Fifth Dimension @ Chessington World of Adventures, Surrey, UK. The short lived version of this ride written by Douglas Adams is the superior version. Zapp is glitchy and quirky and the plot is strange and fascinating.” Below that is an an arrow with text pointing to Zappomatic which reads “baby boy”. On his left is text that reads “RIP :(”
Doodle commission for @tvguts of Dr. Insomniac from their non-existent-yet dating sim Lovesick Laboratory <3 <3 <3 I would date him absolutely. Thank you for supporting us!
New free 8fold I slapped together on Electric Zine Maker :) My partner and I have gotten really into fiber crafts and since sheep are my favorite animals I wanted to spotlight some of the fibers I’ve seen pop up on our many shopping trips.
This is all cobbled together thru info online so PLEASE if you know more on the subject hit me with it!!! I don’t mind making a v2 before I give one to my local fiber shop/the next con/stopping people randomly on the street to hand them out like tracts.
