After much struggle, I finally got a good picture of my pride quilt!!! The quilt top is an 86-inch (218 cm) square.
I really love how the quilt top came together! I didn't have a solid vision about which blocks I would use to complete this project. The binding fabric is going to the same batik used to frame out the LeMoyne Star blocks in each corner.
The majority of the border is made up of 12 inch Friendship Star blocks. I really fell in love with the Friendship Star block and will definitely use it again!
I will definitely be longarm quilting this project and just need to schedule a time to quilt it.
Rumination is probably the most common type of OCD compulsion, but I rarely see anyone talking about it. I've talked to multiple people diagnosed with OCD who didn't even recognize it as a compulsion.
Basically, if you have OCD you have terrible intrusive thoughts. They can be about anything, but common themes are fear of being a bad person, fear of hurting someone, fear of contamination. etc.
Rumination is when you get stuck in a spiral. Rumination is when you spend hours catastrophizing, overthinking, analyzing, telling yourself it's going to be okay.
I'll say it again:
Rumination is a compulsion.
Rumination is a compulsion, and that means you have to stop doing it.
I did ERP (exposure response prevention) for my OCD with a therapist! For 9 months! And it did help, but the idea didn't really click until I found this website a couple years later.
And Oh My God. It made things make so much more sense, and I was able to pull myself out of an episode even though I wasn't in therapy or on meds at the time.
Genuinely if you have OCD, or even if you suspect you have OCD, I'm begging you to read some of these articles.
Like this was genuinely life changing for me.
Here are some of the ones that were most helpful to me:
disabled people who do not directly "contribute" to society and need large amounts of care and resources to survive deserve not only to survive but to have comfort, stability, and fun within their lives while they do. no compromises.
My brother just woke up telling me “We are now hearing the loudest explosions from air strike more intense than anything we’ve experienced since the war began.

Nader’s family is only 700 euro away from reaching 45,000!
Thanks to Nader’s hard work with spreading his family’s story, they’ve made a lot of progress on the fundraiser. But they’re not all the way there. Please continue helping Nader and his family survive through this genocide.
Nader is only seventeen years old, and is responsible for a fundraiser that feeds his family of eight. He should be in school, but this is what he has to do to survive and make sure his family can afford to eat. Nader’s father also suffers from cancer and urgently needs treatment.
If you can donate to help Nader, it would mean a lot ❤️ If you can’t, please share this post so it will reach people who can

Guys, our situation is getting worse and we really need help. Please help us. Every donation helps me a lot. I hope that those who are able to donate will donate anything. Thank you all, my friends, and all of you who supported and stood by us.

Making international friends is definitely one of the best consequences of the world wide web!
Among the great people I've gotten to meet from all over the world, in the last year I've been lucky enough to become friends with Nader @abdalsalam2000 ! ^_^
I try to share Nader's gofundme often, but I worry sometimes that people will tune it out and ignore it. Please, keep your heart open!!!❤️
Seeing gofundmes for Palestinians begging for their lives every day may be tiring for you. But imagine how exhausting it is for the Palestinians who have to run these campaigns while barely surviving in of the ruins of their homes. We are not at odds with these people, they wish only to live happily. 💚❤️

Nader @abdalsalam2000 is a part of one such family, trapped and suffering in Gaza.
Nader is only 17. He has been working constantly to reach out to people online in order to fund his family's escape from the horrors of war in Gaza. He dreams for his father with cancer and his malnourished neice to be healthy again.
Nader was forced to start over their campaign recently when Gofundme cut off his family's access to their previous campaign, so despite how hard he has been working for all this time, his family is still very short of their (now much smaller) goal: currently 28,526 Euros out of a 50K goal.
I'm so thankful to everyone who has helped the campaign get this far, but sadly the situation only grows more urgent every day.
Nader's uphill battle against his family's nightmarish circumstances continues to get steeper. Food prices are continuing to skyrocket, and bombings from Israel are growing more frequent again as the Zionists throw away the former ceasefire agreements.
Any small amount you can share with Nader will provide some relief to him and his family.
Any difference you can make by sharing his campaign with your followers and your friends will bring this young man and his loved ones closer to safety and freedom.
i honestly don't know how to say this but the survival of an entire group of people who are going through a active genocide should not have to depend on how well they are able to articulate and present their condition to you in a post.
but it is. a person gets donations to buy necessities if their post ends up being eye catching or something that grabs the reader's attention. what happens to those who cannot make such posts? no one's survival should depend on something like this.
i urge you to help alaa and her two young children. she needs to buy food and other necessities which are very expensive. she also needs to buy firewood regularly to keep warm.
