This blog and its themes are moving!
In the past, I've ran this theme blog alongside my creative writing/RP’ing of Ezio Auditore very happily and successfully. It’s already been quite some time since I’ve moved onto different blogs, which has distanced me from this blog some, but to add to that, since I’ve moved Ezio off this blog— it’s too much distance and it’s heavily influencing my responsibilities as a theme maker. So I’m going back to my old ways. So what I’m planning is:
1. The url of this blog will change and include some sort of archive reference instead, so that this url can be moved to the new blog. 2. The themes/resources are staying here as they are, and the new blog will, in the future as I get to them, include new, updated, cleaner and more user-friendly versions of these old themes and any new ones thereafter. 3. All customer service related to my themes and/or questions, should be directed to my new blog which will be linked below.
Since links to the themes will break as a result of this url move, here are the direct links to the themes for easy navigation:
Passing the Torch Francis // Mary (formerly: Cantrous) Sleeping at Last Khruseos // Leuthros Desmond Viper Pepperony
Dashboard Userstyle. I’ll Be There for You. // Download/Install.
This time round, I offer a very simple recolouring of the dashboard as to appease those who’d rather stray from the traditional blue. This was heavily inspired by the Black Dashboard once offered by Tumblr back in 2010 to raise awareness (and as a thank you for donating) for the BP Oil Spill. I also took the liberty of polishing it a bit, working with more padding and spacing as to create a more relaxed viewing. This is accompanied by a unified font size and line height, no matter what type of styling/editing people choose to put into their posts. The size of the font can be easily altered, please navigate below for instructions.
Installation
1. If you’re running Stylish, uninstall it. This extension has been compromised with trackers for months and is very dubious to have installed on your system. Instead, download and install the clean equivalent, Stylus, here for Chrome/Opera, and/or here for Firefox. You may need to restart your browser. 2. Navigate to the ‘Download/Install’ link noted above and click ‘Install Style’. 3. Done! Enjoy your new dashboard! No restart required.
Would you prefer a different font size?
Not a problem! Go to your Tumblr dashboard and navigate to Stylus’ extension in the top right of your browser, and click on the little pencil icon to the right of the dashboard Style, like so. In the window that just opened, you’ll see a large box of text/code on the right-hand side. At the very top of that code, you will see a line that references a font-size that is set at 12px. All you have to do is change that 12px to whatever your preference is. Then navigate to the left-hand side and hit ‘Save’, return to your dashboard and voila!
As always, please think about reblogging this post! You’re under no obligation whatsoever to do so, but I’d immensely appreciate it. And by all means, if you have questions or have found a glitch, never hesitate to message me!
UPDATED (January 29th 2020)!
(Base) Theme: Francis | Live Preview (In Use/Action) | Download: Code / BG .PSD Tutorial: BG .PSD How-to | Tutorial: Capital Letter styling explained White/light variant of this theme can be found here
After a lot of incredibly positive feedback on my first released theme (Passing the Torch); I couldn’t think of a better way to express my gratitude to all of you than to release, well, another theme. You have all been exceptionally kind to me and I thank you for it. I hope that this, somehow, succeeds in showing even half of my appreciation.
Similar to the first, this (base) theme has been coded specifically to be extremely non-coder friendly through meta tag usage, which allows all customization (which includes the popup pages) to be done without venturing into the theme’s coding. It consists of the same aesthetic as its predecessor, but with a cleaner and much more spacious overall feel. Features include extras such as my text-wrapping for icons, boxed blockquotes and first letter/capital styling— all which can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch.
PLEASE READ / IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. To get your askbox working in the popup page: While I mentioned that you generally do not need to venture into the code of this theme, this is the one thing you do need to venture into the coding for. But it’s very simple, simply click on Edit HTML, then click the little cogwheel icon at the very top, then choose ‘Find and replace’, in the left box that just appeared, you type YOURURLHERE and in the one on the right, you type your own URL, then click ‘All’. Here, let me show you.
2. Popup pages not appearing? Go into your blog’s settings and make sure that the option ‘Always serve blog over SSL‘ is turned off, in other words, it needs to be grayed out, like so. This option has the tendency to interfere with a lot of coding, including popup pages and music players.
3. Subheaders for your popup pages (similar to the little headers in your description box) are created by wrapping your text like so: <h4>Your text here</h4>
4. Need help figuring out the BG .PSD? Direct yourself here. Confused about the first letter styling/capitals and how to get them to work? Look here.
5. If you utilize the boxes on the customization page for your popup pages, I’m aware that they are a little wonky. Sadly, this is something on Tumblr’s end and therefore out of my control. I would suggest writing what you want in a program such as Notepad or Wordpad and then copying it over into the respective boxes.
If you intend to use the theme, please like or reblog this post. You’re under no obligation whatsoever to do so, but I’d immensely appreciate it!

UPDATED! (January 29th, 2020)!
Base (container) theme: Mary (Live Preview). Download: Code / Template Tutorial: BG .PSD How-to | Tutorial: Capital Letter styling explained
After having seen increasing appreciation for a lighter variant of one of my other themes, I’ve opted to create a lighter ‘variant’ of one of my container themes; Francis. Similarly to my other themes, this is made to be as user-friendly as possible through use of meta-tags, which allows you to do most of the editing (including popup pages) outside of the code. Features include extras such as my text-wrapping, first-letter/capital styling, boxed blockquotes and fully integrated/styled popup pages— all which can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch.

Alright, theme’s been swapped to something that’s, well, aesthetically ‘fixed’ (Pepperony requires a lot of work, in retrospect) and hopefully, clearer/more organised without being too minimal. And as always— gotta keep it in the spirit of a certain Auditore, because this blog will never not encompass his memory, even if he’s moved to my multi very happily. Let me know if any link if broken and if anything isn’t working! Have an awesome day/night, guys!
I still have not quite figured out how to add these 4 pictures in Khruseos. Mind if you give me a little explanation?
Hello, hello! While the old container themes utilise a .PSD to put images into them (working on updating them as to no longer require one), Leuthros and Khruseos, along with some of my newer container themes can have the images put into the themes through Tumblr’s own Customize page. When you’ve opened up Customise, you should see this menu on the left which contains the option to upload an image for each little box Leuthros offers. See the little pencil to the right of each ‘Sidebar image’? That’s it, right there.
Hope this helped; have an awesome day/night, ‘non!
I'm using one of your themes (Leuthros) and I noticed that video posts don't have the description / text added to it, it's just the video. Is there a way I can change that, or maybe some additional code that can be added to fix the issue? I'd hate to have to find a new code D:
My apologies for posting this publicly, but I wanted to address this with the fix for anyone who may be using that same theme and has edited it a fair bit, which would make re-copying the entire code over a bit of a hazard. First off, I have no single clue how I missed this in all of the time that theme’s been released, but gosh, apparently I really did overlook that error! Okay, so, while the theme’s code (and Khruseos as well, respectively) on Pastebin has been updated with the fix, here’s what you need to change if you want to implement the fix manually:
Do a search for <!– POSTS: VIDEO –> and you should see the following in the HTML:
<!– POSTS: VIDEO –>
{block:Video}
{Video-400}{block:Caption}{Caption}{/block:Caption}
{/block:Video}
Simply replace that entire bit, with this:
{block:Video}
{Video-400}
{block:Caption}{Caption}{/block:Caption}{/block:Video}
And all should be fixed, it was mainly an error in div order! Again, you have my apologies for the inconvenience this might’ve caused! And I hope you have a wonderful day/evening/night! <3
My sincerest of apologies for the silence around here, the last week or two have been busier than expected and it was a rather sudden change. All’s better and I have some time— I’ll be cleaning up around here, including a theme change (until I finish the ‘Invictus’ theme or any other that I may get sudden inspiration to create and instantly finish). First off, however, I’ll be getting to asks and IMs. My apologies for my absence, once again!
first your text wrap themes were a god sent cause I've been trying so hard to figure that out so thank you so much for that. I do have a question, i'm trying to get my icon gif to appeared on the right rather then the left and input the code for blockquotes like you said but it doesn't seem to be working. Am I missing something?
Bless you! I’m very glad that you got it to work! I’m right there with you, though, before I finally figured it out when I did 3ish years ago, I’d wrecked my brain over it numerous times, but no matter how much I tried to force it through any which way I could think of, Tumblr wouldn’t budge. I guess an update in their code finally allowed it one day. I’ve been counting blessings ever since that day. It shows good things can happen despite all these updates of theirs! ;)
blockquote img {float:right!important;margin-left:14px;}
You mean the above-mentioned code? Since it has an !important behind the line that tells it to float on the right, it should override any other code that you may have in your theme that could be telling the same element. So that the above blockquoted code doesn’t work tells me that you have something else in your theme that’s also set to have a priority to it. One of my suggestions would be to do a search for blockquote img { and see if another result comes up, if it does, then I’d recommend removing it (or if you’re used to coding, merge it with the above-mentioned). If nothing else comes up, then I think there has to be some other img { tag in your code that has an !important in it as well that’s overriding/blocking my code from working, as— unless it was copied over wrong, there shouldn’t be much reason for it to not work.
If you have a look through your code and can’t find any explanation for it to not be functioning as intended, I very happily offer to have to look for you. If you’re able/willing to send me an ask or IM with a link to a pastebin that holds your code in it, I’ll gladly put my text-wrapping in for you and ensure that it works and then send it back to you in fully-working order! Don’t hesitate. <3
is there a way i can make the sleeping at last theme have tabs that open like on the other themes? like when you click the navigation, the links underneath (link 1, 2, and 3) could open a tab to the right that i could put info in in 1&2, and 3 have a longer nav? i hope that's not confusing
Hello again. <3 And no, it isn’t too confusing at all, you mean roughly like how they open up on my Khruseos/Leuthros themes? It can be done and it’d mainly be possible through copying various bits of code over from either of the aforementioned themes pertaining to the CSS and the HTML respectively (it’d be the easiest, anyway). Normally, I’d have a quick peek and put the updated code into a Pastebin for you, but considering the additions of code aren’t as quick to add in as they normally might be (as I’d have to rewrite bits of this theme to properly support what you’re asking for), and the extreme time restraints I have as of recently due to some life tribulations— I can’t do so/offer this at present as I normally might. However, I will gladly take a peek at offering this in the near future, when time permits it more. <3
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You're post about downloading photoshop cc worked, you have no idea how long I have been looking for a good photoshop link, you are amazing!
I was going to have a peek one of these days to ensure it was still working as it should, but I’m glad to know that it was still working, at least, at the time of you sending me this. Gosh, it’s very much my pleasure, honestly, I’m thrilled you got it to work and you can now join the rest of us in the lunacy but ever-awesome world of Photoshop. ;)
where are your ezio rps?
Bless you for the interest! He’s been moved over to my multimuse, khruseos, which can be found here.
//I figured after the fact that this might be better than tumblr messenger, so here we are. I can’t seem to figure out the sizing the background for the sidebar and the main background need to be for your theme Viper. Help, please? (:
Oh gosh, it’s good that you ask because I only just realised that the dimensions on the default image are entirely inaccurate! I’ll change that right after I’m done answering the rest of these asks and IMs! But in the meantime, the dimensions for the sidebar background are 284x423px and the main background, in essence, can be your monitor’s own resolution. Personally, I go for bigger because most people on Tumblr seem to often be on laptops, which have monitors that are fairly smaller than many desktop users nowadays— so if people go for one size but other RPers go on their page with a larger screen/resolution, their view of your blog in terms of background will be less appealing, if that makes sense. Now if you want to avoid that, I’d suggest looking into backgrounds that’re at least 1680x1050px (and if you struggle finding some, I’d suggest looking at wallpaper sites; as weird and unoriginal as it may sound, it tends to be where I get all of my own backgrounds from, just takes some searching to find the nice ones).
Have a nice day/evening/night. <3
Hi there! I'm a huge fan of your themes! I was wondering if there is a way to not use popups on the Desmond theme? I just want links to go to pages I've already made instead of popups. I went through your asks and didn't find this question, my apologies if it was already asked.
Hello, hello! I’m so, very sorry for the incredibly late response, but I can only hope that it’s better late than never. And thank you very much, I’m glad that they’re to people’s liking! As for your question, yes, they’re definitely a way to do it and it’s quite simple once you realise what it is you have to change. Do a search for:
and you should see these ‘links’ noted underneath the search result (I’ll show just the default guidelines as to keep this answer short, but the logic to change them applies to all of them):

Now if you wanted to change that into a regular page link, you simply change the top line of it to this:
