I wonder inside when I will forget you, since I think I have overcome it, and before a sigh your memory returns and the anguish that it entails. Art by Chris Long.

Narrative inertia...once a story starts, it can't stop. The ending has been coming since the first page. She's been dead since the beginning. Etc.
“That’s the second, and most important, thing you need to know about fairy tales: once a story starts, it won’t stop on its own. There’s too much narrative weight behind a moving story, and it wants to happen too badly. It won’t stop, unless somebody stops it.” - Seanan McGuire
Paper at BEERS London.
Currently on view until February 26th, 2022 at BEERS London in London, England is the group exhibition, "Paper."
Artists featured in the exhibition were purposefully given vague criteria regarding a theme in order to free them from the constraints of a single overriding topic, and instead, allowing them to focus on concerns directly relating to their practice.

[VD: A stop-motion video done with entirely needle-felted miniature pieces. It depicts someone making spaghetti in a small kitchen. Uncooked spaghetti is dropped into a boiling pot of water. The filmer chops a carrot and adds it to tomato sauce, which bubbles next to the boiling pasta. A strand of pasta is thrown at the wall to check for doneness, and then the pasta is drained and transferred to a bowl. The pasta sauce is poured on top, and cheese is grated over it before a fork is placed at the bowl. End VD]
