Dream come true!!! I got to see tassie devils at the Copenhagen Zoo!!

Copenhagen is the only facility outside Australia with a devil breeding program and all other devils housed in europe come from this venture. These guys are spoiled rotten with a massive naturalistic enclosure and their keepers actually have to attend a devil husbandry bootcamp down under (Taronga zoo i believe) in order to care for them!

Apparently this all came to a head because the Danish king Frederik married a tassie and as a gift the aus govt let their zoo start this program and excellent tasmanian pavillion. Didn't get to see a feeding or screams but i got to watch one splooting and another was snacking on something and holding it in his little hands like a raccoon which i didn't know they did!!
