Q: do you watch any kings hockey, do you keep up with the team?

MR: so, i watched one period on saturday of cartsy’s 1000th game. so i watched the first period of that before i had to run off and do some stuff, but i wanted to make sure that i watched that. so that was the only kings hockey that i’ve seen this year. the games are on too late, i’m old now. old, retired, and i can’t stay up that late.

Q: what were your emotions seeing jeff reach that milestone?

MR: yeah, it kinda hit home. i remember before the game i saw [his whole family on the tv], but that picture brought everything full circle from when we were running old city in philadelphia, to a thousand games later in LA, it was kinda cool to see, actually.
