Hi there! My name is Madi, but I also go by Minnie! You can call me either as i don't have a preference! My pronouns are She/her and I am currently 23!
I'm currently writing a story on Ao3 called A Place to Call Home! Feel free to hop in my ask box! it will always be open for anyone to use. However, if I do start taking request on here, I will make a designated post for when it is open for request!
I hear Flowery requests from an amazing writer and I come running 🙂↕️🙂↕️
How about a fic where reader gets hurt somehow and Flowery takes care of them 👉👈 maybe they’re attacked by something or get hurt in a sparring match with one of the other flowers. They insist they’re fine but they very much are NOT and Flowery refuses to let it slide and makes them sit their ass DOWN so he can coddle them
Accidents Happen (Flowery x GN! reader)
Anon! You flatter me truly! I had so much fun writing this request! I personally think flowery would be mildly panicked at first but would switch to being the teasing menace he is once reader is settled and somewhere safe.
Had a little trouble with this one because at most Flowery displays in the game is mild annoyance and quite a bit of frustration at the end even if for just a second. I kinda had to play off that last scene of the final battle to really understand how he might react in a situation like this. But I really hope I did him justice here!
Thank you for the lovely request Anon. I hope you enjoy it!
Warning: Nothing that I can think of just mentions of mild pain.

"Come on! Come on! Please! Seth and I have been working to perfect our bullet pattern! We just need to test it out! We can even use the cliff sides; that way you have more room to run!"
Aqua jumps across the library tables to follow behind me. The girl had apparently scoured the flower castle looking for me in particular. When she finally found me wrapped up in a small corner of the library, she began her assault.
It's no secret that I've helped spar with the other flowers. Not only does it benefit them, but it also helps grow my own capabilities. While this Dark World doesn't have much danger, one can never be too prepared. Aqua and Seth have both been trying to improve their teamwork over a good portion of the last year, especially after they came up short against 'The Fun Gang,' which was truly no fault of their own.
"This would be the optimum time for us to spar. It'd give me ideas on how to best improve and add to the bullet pattern." Seth adds in as they keep their head in a book, trying their best to follow the path I take to some bookshelves in the back.
I come to a standstill in the middle of the shelves, eyeing both of the younger flowers. Both seem hopeful that I'll finally compromise, but something tells me they won't like the next question that comes from my mouth.
"Have you asked Flowery?" I tilt my head down at the two.
Aqua dramatically flings her body back on the table she stands on, landing with a loud 'THUNK'. The noise makes me cringe for a second before I remember the menace is practically indestructible, or so I believe from what I have seen. Seth, on the other hand, cowers into themselves, refusing to make eye contact.
Bingo! They had, in fact, not run their idea by Flowery before finding me.
"Well, you see, we can't even find him. He's not in the castle." I give Seth a stern look; something in my gut is telling me they aren't being one hundred percent truthful, but I don't nag them.
Flowery hasn't been so keen on the idea of me sparing the other Flowers without some kind of supervision, especially when Blue and Green, the resident healers, aren't around. Which, unfortunately for the two flowers in front of me, besides Flowery, the other four flowers have made their way to the city at the base of the cliffside to gather some things for a little celebration we are planning on having in the coming days.
"Look, you two. If you can wait for Blue or Green to get back, then we can do it." I try to compromise with the two.
"Please, (Y/n), Aqua told Yellow we'd be able to kick his butt with our new bullet pattern! I need to tweak it before he gets back. I do not wanna be the laughingstock of the week because of Aqua!" Seth practically throws themselves to the floor, clasping their hands over their head.
For a second, I feel my stance change on the matter. Poor Seth always finds themselves being tag-teamed by the other flowers. Most of the time, while it's all in good fun, I know it still bothers them.
I let a huff of air leave my lips. Pinching down on the bridge of my nose, part of me knows I'm about to regret what I'm signing up for.
"We'll need to be careful of the others. They'll be able to see us on the cliff sides. If we make it quick, we can probably get a couple of test runs done before the others get back from the city."
~~~~
The breeze blows hard over the rocky edges of the cliff. The dying light of this world's "sunset" casts an orangish hue across the cliffside ledge the three of us stand on. I stand watching as Aqua and Seth prepare for the test run. I absent-mindedly twirl the bamboo staff I hold for parrying in my hands, waiting for the call to start running.
Aqua doesn't give so much of a peep of a warning before she sends a knife my way, but with quick, practiced reflexes. I send the knife back towards her. Breaking off into a sprint towards the two as they start the encounter.
While the attack isn't much different than their last, there is definitely an abundance more of bullets coming my way. Something that could easily overwhelm an enemy who doesn't know how the two operate. While dodging and parrying Aqua's knives to send towards Seth's own part of the attack comes to me like clockwork, the randomness of Seth's own pattern is what makes it all the more difficult than their last try. But the rhythm of the attack comes with time, and the three of us are lost in the dance of the encounter.
I offer ways to potentially improve the pattern here and there but ultimately remain focused on the task at hand. The concept of time slips from my mind as I enter a familiar dance that's somehow comforting.
The sound of the voice clip 'No No No' echoing through the cliffs is what finally pulls me, as well as the other two, from our concentration. A minuscule distraction that turns my head to face the source of the sound and keeps me from seeing the danger that flies my way. Aqua, in her panicked state at the sound of Flowery, fails to wrangle all her bullets to a stop, letting two come into contact with me.
The pain is immediate and overwhelming. And if anything happens within the next few seconds, I wouldn't know. I feel myself give out for just a second as my vision fades to black. When I open them again, it's only a few moments later, and I find rocks are biting into the skin of my knees. I must have slumped down on them in my moment of unconsciousness. As I lift my gaze from the ground, I find the three flowers circling around me. A nervous Seth looks like they are about to pass out as well while Aqua nervously hops from foot to foot, trying to get a look at my face.
Flowery lingers beside me, a hand placed on my lower back supporting my weight as I find my head balanced on his shoulder.
"Now, who planted a seed of an idea in the three of your heads that this was a good plan?" The seriousness of Flowery strikes a cord in me. It's not often that he swaps his confident facade for one like this.
I watch on as Aqua and Seth stutter through an excuse before I hold up a hand to interrupt the two stumbling flowers.
"It was my idea, Flowery. They were telling me about improving their bullet pattern; I offered to be the test dummy. Don't take it out on them." I do my best to remove myself from his side, taking note of the strained smile on his face as his brows are scrunched up and a bead of sweat slides down his temple. "Besides, I feel fine. A little hit has never kept me down for long."
I begin to rise to my feet mostly to ensure myself that I am actually ok, but to also convince Flowery that this situation was being blown way out of proportion. Flowery rises along with me, and it's a good thing he does because another sharp pain sends a burning sensation all the way from my head to my toes. I find myself falling into him. The top of my head rested against his chest. I angle my eyes to look at the ground. Fingers curled tightly in the fabric of his vest.
"I'm ok... Mostlys." I mock his voice clip as I let a sharp and painful laugh leave my body.
"Mostlys?" He asks with a voice that suggests he's over this situation, as his voice clip sounds off at the same time, adding a contradicting tone to the air.
"My head may hurt a tad bit, and the rest of my body while we are at it." I let a small 'Heh' end my sentence as I look up to meet Flowery's close-eyed gaze.
"Unbeleafiable." I hear the flower mumble under his breath.
"Flowery, really, I'm fine; it's just a graze." The man ignores me in favor of the other two flowers that stand behind us.
"Would you two be sweetpeas, and see if you can meet Blue or Green on the path home? They should be on their way back by now." The two flowers quickly salute before sprinting off, most likely looking for a quick escape from Flowery's sour mood. Maybe I should be looking for my own escape.
"Come on, inside we go!" Flowery quickly sweeps me off my feet, beginning to make his way down from the cliff ledge to one of the entrances back into the castle.
"Wait, hold on! Put me down! I said I was fine, Flowery." I repeatedly hit one of my hands to his chest using the other to try and push away from him in an effort.
"Oh, my poor (Y/n)!" Flowery really starts to bring in the dramatics with his next few words. "I feel so horrible this happened." He does, I'm sure, but the shit-eating grin tells me he's about to make sure I don't do this again. "The least you can let me do is carry you! Just let me do this one thing! Plus, I could just toss you over my shoulder. This way seems to be more pleasant for you." Flowery mumbles the last part under his breath; a hint of mischief lingers in his gaze as his eyes meet mine.
I feel my eyes roll to the back of my head before I reluctantly agree. I cross my arms over my chest as I let my head fall against his collarbone. The gentle stride he takes slowly tries to lull me to sleep, but Flowery's voice brings me back. Opening my eyes as he speaks, I can finally see the castle in view.
"Why'd you take the blame for them?"
"I mean, why wouldn't I? They are kids, and they don't know any better. They just wanted help? Who am I to deny them?”
Flowery casts his gaze down at me, and while I don't personally believe my response called for any sort of teasing, I should have known to expect it by now.
"Seems you've formed a soft spot for the other flowers, Buttercup! I think everyone prefers if you showed it in ways that didn't end up in you being hurt, but to each their own, I guess." He winks at me before he turns his attention back to the path ahead.
The rest of the journey back is quiet. Flowery focuses on getting me to wherever he is taking me, and I find myself being lulled to and from sleep. It isn't until I'm laid down on something soft that I fully pull myself back to consciousness. The golden color scheme of the room I'm in tells me I'm not lying in my own room, where I had initially guessed he was taking me.
"This isn't my room." I state, turning my attention to Flowery, who seems to be grabbing a stack of blankets from the closet across the room. "Why are we here?"
"Well, at least we know your head is still on straight. Ruling out head trauma is always good." Flowery casts a smirk in my direction as he turns back towards me to make his way back. "I know how you tend to get cold when you aren't feeling the best, so here's a few spare blankets. I'll be right back."
I take the time to let my gaze slide around the room. Flowery’s room constantly remains in pristine condition, but it’s interesting to see all the little knick-knacks he has lying around that the other flowers give him. There’s something new every time I find myself crossing through the door.
I turn my gaze to my left. My sight lands on Flowery’s desk that sits in front of a big window. I catch a glimpse of something new. A small wooden sculpture that’s no bigger than what an action figure would be in the Light World sits on his desk. The sculpture is obviously Aqua’s doing. I know it must have just been given to Flowery, as I don’t recall seeing it in here a few days ago. At first, I don’t recognize the scene at first. Two individuals face each other, holding hands clasped in the small space between them. Closed-eyed smiles are etched into each figure’s face, and then it hits me that the two individuals just so happen to be Flowery and I. I let a small smile slip onto my lips. I move to sit up to get a better view of the sculpture. Adjusting myself so my legs hang over the edge. Just as I’m about to stand, the door creaks softly open.
“You said your head was hurting earlier; I figured a cold compress might help- what are you doing?” Flowery crosses his arms over his chest as I stop dead in my tracks. Feet barely touching the floor.
“I just- I wanted to- I wasn’t trying to-.” My mind moves faster than my mouth can form words. I whip my head between Flowery and the sculpture, deciding the only way I’ll get my point across is to use my hands. I throw up my hand, jabbing a finger repeatedly in the direction of the sculpture, quickly word-vomiting out ‘That thing!’ Flowery follows my pointed finger before a soft smile replaces his look of frustration. He walks over, placing the bowl of ice water and the soft rag on the nightstand beside his bed. He quickly adjusts me, lifting my legs back up onto the bed and gently pushing my shoulders to lay me back down. Placing a gentle kiss on my forehead as he moves back. He quickly turns to retrieve the small sculpture from his desk, placing it carefully in my hands.
“Aqua made it a few days back. Said she felt inspired when she saw us standing under the cherry blossoms a week or two ago.” Flowery proudly smiles as he begins wringing the rag before placing it gently on my head, scooting me over to lie beside me.
“I know I probably can’t take it back to the light world, but do you think she’d make another? Or something similar for my room?” I turn my head to look at Flowery, realizing my question may have been a mistake as a smug grin slowly spreads across his face.
“You can’t get enough of me, can you, Buttercup?” He props his head up on his hand as he looks down at where I lay, wiggling his eyebrows. The laugh he lets out suggests he’s enjoying this a little too much.
I quickly shove my hand to his forehead, pushing his face away from me, feigning a look of disgust. “Please! I think I’ve had more than enough of you for one lifetime.” I giggle at his mock offense that writes itself clearly across his face. I quickly poke his nose before I continue. “Shouldn’t I be the one asking you that, considering you had this on your desk?” I accuse the man who lies beside me. I watch as his expression once again morphs into something akin to affection.
“See the difference between you and me: I have no qualms with expressing my undying love for you.” He takes a moment to pause from his dramatic display of affection to readjust the rag on my head. “It’s why I’m confining you to this bed. I don’t know how I’ll go on if something happens to you.” I watch as he throws his hand over his eyes. He peeks one eye open to gauge my reaction before shutting it again and upping the antics. The show causes a loud laugh to leave my lips, echoing through the room. The pain that once had its clawed grip latched around my body becomes a second thought in favor of the man before me.
The room’s atmosphere drifts to one of comfortable silence as my laughter dies down. I can feel Flowery’s attention linger on me, but I make no move to actually acknowledge it.
“I love seeing you laugh.” His admission is quiet against the ‘Smile again.’ Voice clip that follows it. It holds a certain weight to it. One that I know if I’m not careful with, I could shatter the whole moment.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t listen to the one rule you gave me. I know that must be frustrating.” Flowery throws his hand up, waving it to get me to pause my sentence.
“I’m not mad about it. You were just helping Aqua and Seth. Unfortunately, it had some bad repercussions, but what’s important is you weren’t hurt worse. I just hope you understand why that rule was in place now. It’s to protect you, and to limit how much pain you go through if the worst does happen.”
“Yeah, I understand now. Had we waited, I wouldn’t be curled up in your bed in pain. Let’s look at the bright side. It bought us time alone.” Flowery hums as he considers my words.
“Yeah, it did, didn’t it?” Silence falls over us again. “Please, tell me you didn’t get hurt just to buy us alone time?” I can’t help but let another loud laugh slip past my lips at his question. Flowery seems satisfied with the outcome of his last question. He seems ready to crack some more jokes before a soft knock suddenly interrupts him, and he finds his way towards the door.
The door is opened to reveal a disheveled party of 6 flowers. All of which look like they just ran a marathon in a hot desert.
“What in the blue bouncing butterflies were you thinking?” Blue marches over to me. If I thought Flowery’s seriousness was bad, Blue’s disappointed look is enough to make me want to dig my own grave.
“I’ve already been over this with them. They weren’t.” Flowery answers as he leans up against the door, shrugging his shoulders.
“Hey!” I let my offended reply echo through the room.
“Yeah, I could have made that assumption.”
“Hey! Would you stop making fun of me and just heal me?” I call out to the first person that’ll listen.
Flowery’s face comes into my line of sight as I lay flat on my back staring at the ceiling.
After much thought, I’ve decided what the hell! I’ve got a bit of time on my hands as I care for my cats, so send in those Flowery requests/asks!
I may open up to write for more Deltarune characters in the future such as Tenna, but right now I’m gonna stick to what I’m fully comfortable with!
Just two ground rules! Nothing too NSFW I’m not good at writing smut unfortunately, but a little spice never hurt anyone!
I also only stick to gender neutral because it’s my default writing style! I also feel better that everyone is included!
Any ask is welcome whether it’s just me answering how I think a situation will play out, or if it’s a request that want a full written imagine or headcanons! I’ll do either no problem!
(Ps it may take me a few days to get stuff rolling, but it will come!)
Anyways wanted to surprise you guys and get chapter 5 out as well tonight, but my youngest menace (my cat) decided an impromptu vet appointment was better.
My cat got into something she wasn’t supposed to this morning, so I’ve been dealing with the consequences 🥲 as a result chapter 4 is slightly delayed! Gonna try and get it up tonight, but there’s no guarantee!
Little blurb I plan on turning into a full imagine:
Flowery absolutely feels guilty that you do all this work to keep him and the other flowers alive and well in the Light world. It upsets him that he's confined to the Dark world and can't really help ease the load of any of your chores in the Light world in return.
To make up for it, I imagine he plans some of the cutest and sweetest little dates in the Dark world. I'd like to think the flower castle is just more than the rooms we saw, and maybe there's some kind of grand ballroom.
Flowery would definitely go all out to dress up the ballroom. Even providing you with a stunning outfit. String lights that cast a soft glow making it feel like you're under the stars. Petals of all different colors lay scattered and float around. Green would prep a lovely little meal, and it'd be set up like a little picnic. Soft music would flow throughout this room.
And just when you think it can't get any sweeter, He'd whisk you up and into a slow dance.
All in all this flower will find anyway he can to spoil you during these little dates, and they often send you falling in love with him even more.
Little fun fact about blue! While I don't know if Toby meant for this as the flowers in game don't have a canon flower they are based on, We know they have meanings or personalities. So blue is integrity, right? A blue flower that represents integrity is a Gentian! A little fun fact about Gentian is they were used for medicinal purposes in I think around the middle ages! Kinda a cool little fact since we see Blue heal the trio and Flowery in game!
Protip! If you ever need to drive in really bad weather or bad traffic (I had to drive through both on the way home from Atlanta 🥲), playing Guardian definitely helps with persevering through the drive! I was locked in the whole time 😭
It's almost complete! I likely won't be able to complete it til tomorrow though! as i need to see what the in game lay out of the flower castle is! While I do plan on editing the lay out, there's aspects I want to keep, so I need to double check those. Trust the upload will be soon though!
As I'm sitting in my friend's apartment in Atlanta, I've both been working on chapter 3 as well as writing notes for future chapters. Let me tell you guys something. I am going to have to add an angst tag because, oh boy, do some of these later chapters have some real tear jerking dialogue.
So, my proper warning as we get more into the story, have some tissues ready... Do with that information what you will. 😅
Flowery, who lets his cool slip in front of you when you show up with a new injury from an encounter.
Flowery, who panics when you don't show face in the dark world for a few days especially after that one time you got really bad sick.
Flowery, who can tell your feeling under the weather both mentally and physically but doesn't want to push.
Flowery, who will count the days in between visits once they start to slow but never hold it against you.
Flowery, who will always be in your corner even if you quit visiting the dark world entirely because you can't get out of bed.
Flowery, who will welcome you back with open arms once you feel ready again. He only ask that next time you start feeling down you reach out to him.
Flowery understands that life is hard in the light world. He's seen the whole spiel with Asgore. He knows there's always going to be outside factors that wear on you. He will never fault you for those. His main priority is you, and it will show in the way he cares for you.
I 100% believe flowery is one of those people that will annoy the hell out of you if you are mad at him and giving him the silent treatment.
Your favorite cup you use in the dark world every time you visit? Yeah, it's on the top shelf in the very back. Guess you have to ask your tall, handsome boyfriend, who you just so happen to be giving the silent treatment to, to get it for you.
It's suddenly really cold in the flower castle? Flowery has heard that cuddling can help beat the cold. All you have to do is say the words.
Moral of the story is this flower will quite literally find any way to inconvenience you just for you to talk to him again. He is a fiend,and he will do all this and more with no remorse.
Chapter 3 is really just starting to bud (No pun intended... Just kidding pun intended.) Normally, I'd be more comfortable with giving an estimate. However, I am leaving to go to Atlanta for 3-4 days this weekend, and while I will have my computer on me. I don't know how much time I can allot for writing! I refuse to make promises I can't keep just because I'd hate to let you guys down!
Best case scenario is I will have at least the first or second draft done by Saturday then it's smooth and quick sailing from there!
Hi there! Most of you are probably coming from my Ao3 story! Welcome to my little blog! Feel free to make yourself at home! This blog still needs a lot of work done to it, so ignore the messy dashboard for now!
Feel free to send any ask! I only ask a few things in return! I ask that you be kind to me and the others you might interact with this blog. Please also respect me and any boundaries I may set up in the future!
I want this space to be a safe place for everyone. Any hate of any kind will absolutely not be tolerated!
