New Blog!
Hello, everyone, and thank you for your patience.Â
I created a new blog, with the goal to blog from a more personal point of view. This does not mean inksprouting will go away. Â
please follow coffeecatstudy.tumblr.com
I especially thank my most recent followers. I hope you enjoy the content from both blogs.
Update #2
Hello, everyone. In light of recent events and for personal reasons, I’m still on a hiatus. I’m limiting my social media usage to get a break from the news. Stay safe and god bless.
The irony of this post is that the officer in SoR1 helps the protagonists and is the only officer to stand up to the corrupt police under Mr. X. Additionally, the three protagonists of streets of rage 1 are former police officers.
Box Spring
Lex and I hadn't eaten since nine in the morning. The food our relatives served us was inedible: raw chicken, milly dressing, bland pasta, and salty green beans. Our dads told us to eat it or do without, while they ate seconds. We're here for a family reunion, but I think this is an excuse for the adults to act like kids, while everyone else suffers. For example, my dad threw his shoes up the balcony the moment we arrived at our hotel. Lex and her parents stayed at another hotel across the street, which was more expensive but reserved for family. Our hotel had a lobby, wi-fi, and continental breakfast: the bright sides of this family reunion. My family almost didn't go, because my dad wanted to "provide" us a vehicle - a cousin's used Daewoo that he fixed - instead of renting a car. "Either take it, or don't go," my dad told me, Mom, and my little sister Courtney. My brother refused to come with us; he didn't have money, which translated to "I don't want to deal with Dad."

Hope of the Moon
I saw the starry sky. I kissed her boyfriend at prom. My dress flows like a ghost behind her shadow. I am happy. I am divine.
I danced on stage in a ballet gown. I danced to the tender blossom’s golden song of ruins. I imagine dancing with my true love. I am happy. I am divine.
With my chest exposed, I smash her head with a bat. I am a tiger provoked to kill, because I had enough of her insults. I am made whole, but I will never be the same again. I am happy. I am divine.
I awake with a tear in my eye. Life is precious and a bad dream. I seek help for my anger and despair. I am a tiger, but I am a tiny household pet. When I was young, I ate a rat. Blood smeared on my mouth. I am a carnivore. I am happy. I am divine.
Weekend writing prompts:
March 8 is International Women’s Day, but it marks 10 years since your grandmother passed away. Write a story about something you wish your grandmother taught you, if she were still alive.
You’re a cashier at a gas station. A man with a swatsika tattoo on his chest walk in for gas. His son flicks a booger at you. Write a story about how you would feel, if this happened to you.
Your sibling sees your coloring and says, “Ooh wee, (name) said you can’t color.” Write a story about sharing a coloring book with a younger sibling, niece, nephew, etc.

Personal Plot Turn-Offs
I’m very critical of what I read and write. I don’t like reading things that make me cringe and, more importantly, I don’t like reading things that will waste my time. If your story focuses on a character who is part-human, part of a zombie apocalypse, in love, mentally ill, in a dystopian version of our timeline, or is part of a fan-fiction, I will most likely avoid it. If your character is too perfect and the writing isn’t interesting, I will not read further.Beyond the 4-6 lines that are crucial to maintaining reader interest, the following are specific plots that make me avoid your work, with some exceptions.Â
Your protagonist is a vampire, werewolf, or a hybrid of multiple species.Â
The exception: 100 Fathoms Below, a book about Navy soldiers stuck in a submarine with a soldier who turned into a vampire.
The character is mentally ill.
The exception: Thom Jones’s The Pugilist at Rest, a collection of stories including one about a man experiencing memory loss due to seizures.
Bonus: The character has an addiction, has antisocial personality disorder (formerly known as sociopathy), Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder, or a combination of mental illnesses.
Romance, which is my least favorite genre.
The exception: I’m in a judgement-free mood.
Science Fiction/FantasyÂ
Especially if it’s based on current events
Fanfiction - also my least favorite genre
Blends all of the above together
