When prisoners go to court they wear jail uniforms, handcuffs and leg irons. They are locked in tiny cages at the back of correctional vans for secure transportation. Their movement is controlled at all times, and are told where to walk, where to sit and when to stand. The prisoner in the second pic has been ordered to wait facing a wall with his head bowed. Really, inmates are treated like naughty children.
