If the illustration is posted on the day of the prompt, it counts. No matter how late in the day. Will the algorithm like it? Nope! Is that why I’m doing a daily challenge? Mostly yes.
Getting things ready to bring my girls home 💕💕💕
They’re more deserving of the uniform than most generals.

Society couldn’t function without them.
Society really couldn’t function without them. Anthropologist Robin Nagel did this fabulous ethnography of NYC sanitation workers called Picking Up where she actually became a sanitation worker herself. In NYC alone, there’s fewer than 10,000 sanitation workers dealing with a daily load of about 11,000 tons of garbage and 2,000 tons of recycling. It’s a more dangerous profession than firefighting or police work (cops and fire aren’t even in the top ten most dangerous jobs in the US), and if the sanitation workers aren’t able to do their jobs, cities become unlivable overnight.
(Also you should read that Robin Nagel book, it’s really fascinating. Even if you don’t live in a city, it’s a great read.)

im so calm and normal but also if im misunderstood by people in a way i cannot control i will tear apart the fibers of the universe
"Sure, things are hard for trans folks lately, but it's not attempted genocide, sheesh, don't exaggerate."
Hm.
genocide [ jen-uh-sahyd ] noun the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group. Source: Dictionary.com
Okay, so the requirements are:
1: Deliberate
2: Systematic
3: Extermination
4: National, Racial, Political, or Cultural Group
Florida recently made three things the law:
Presenting as other than your binary assigned-at-birth gender in public is defined as child abuse.
Child abuse is a capital crime, eligible for a death sentence.
Death sentences no longer require a unanimous jury, only 8 out of 12.
Florida is 1: deliberately arranging their legal 2: system to 3: execute all people within the 4: socio-political group of trans and nonbinary people within their jurisdiction.
Congratulations, that's attempting genocide.
Yknow, the biggest difference between the left and right, that I’ve experienced, is the primal fear I feel when a lifted truck appears behind me on a two lane county highway.
Besides the anti-trans bills being dumb as fuck, they’re actually unconstitutional.
Go check the 9th amendment.
me when i cant comprehend that different continents have different animals
the rest of the paragraph that was cut out in that screenshot literally explains the reasons behind the easter bilby and bluntly theyre minimising the impact that wild rabbits have had as an introduced species in our ecosystem.
the easter bibly was an ingenious campaign that builds in social awareness and change to an ongoing annual tradition without detracting from what that tradition represents. the choice behind it was intentional

people have got to learn the difference between I didnt like it and It was bad
+ a secret, third thing
[ID: A comment and pair of graphs to plot media.
1: Tumblr tag reading, “also between i like it and it was good”.
2: An X-Y graph. The x-axis is a measure of quality, with the leftmost end labeled, “it was bad (poorly made on a purely technical level)” and the right end labeled, “it was good (well-made on a purely technical level)”. The y-axis is a measure of opinion, the bottom end labeled, “i didn’t like it (has stuff that doesn’t interest me)” and the top is labeled, “i liked it (has stuff i really enjoy)”.
3. The same graph, rotated to show a third axis. The end nearest to the viewer is labeled, “irreparable damage to my psyche”. Irreparable is misspelled as irreperable. The end farthest from the viewer is labeled, “unafflicted”. End ID.]
doing my damnedest to free myself of the “just gotta get through this week” “only x more days til the weekend” mindset & learn to appreciate each day for whatever it is lest i be driven to madness
so what if tomorrows monday i have leftovers & maybe this week i will make soup. maybe ill see a cat. maybe each day will show me something worthwhile even if im tired & maybe i can enjoy it
if u are negative on this post im blocking u ! some of us are trying to get better
