The regional Partner Business Solutions (PBS) teams work directly with large partners to develop monetization strategies for their online content. Our partners represent publishing, entertainment and commerce companies as well as other emerging verticals. We are in a unique and exciting position to shape the digital alignment of marketing and business strategies as our products evolve. We work with Google's broad range of partner solutions including AdSense, DoubleClick Platform Solutions and the AdExchange, across mobile, display, and video formats, helping our partners and their audiences get the most out of the web.
As Strategic Partner Development Lead, Automotive Vertical, you will work with large prospective partners, across the Automotive Vertical in the US. You will develop new partnerships leveraging Googleâs entire monetization and platform suite (including AdSense, AdX, Admob and DFP Premium). In this role you will apply your business development skills, strategic acumen, industry knowledge and product understanding to expand Google's partner base and revenue.
Responsibilities
Develop renewal and product strategy, negotiate term sheets, manage internal approvals process, contract negotiations and compliance processes.
Understand the full scope of partner monetization and ad serving including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used and how monetization fits into larger business strategy.
Analyze monetization performance and present findings to key clients, influencing partner strategy by highlighting key opportunities to increase yield through product usage; identify opportunities to add new/emerging channels (e.g., mobile and video) to product mix; bring data-driven insights to support recommendations and drive Quarterly Business Reviews with senior executives.
Optimize usage of Googleâs monetization suite in consultation with partners based on performance analysis, e.g. block list management, CPM thresholds, ad positioning; develop frameworks to evaluate success of implemented optimizations.
Develop and manage a pipeline to help expand the Automotive Vertical.
Minimum qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years relevant work experience, including 3 years of related sales, account management or business development experience in an Internet company.
Preferred qualifications
Demonstrated partner relationship and business development skills. Comfortable with team-based selling approach.
Demonstrated analytical ability, including the ability to understand monetization metrics and apply these to potential optimizations.
Ability to negotiate contracts, interpret legal documents, and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
Broad understanding of online advertising (i.e. ad serving, networks, and key platforms) and trends (i.e. desktop, mobile, video).
Self-motivated individual that is comfortable operating in a rapidly changing and largely undefined industry.

Ensure integration of the groupâs work with the direction of the Software Sciences and Analytics organization
