stories are often damned, some are faked from synopsis to prologue, some others are stolen right from the teller’s lips, but the story of tahani lee fits right among the classical tragic tales of all the greek heroes and heroines, heroes blessed by many things but doomed from the start. she was born in seoul on a chilly october day, but just ten days after her birth she was whisked away in the middle of the night to rome. it was her father’s wish, for he had no plans of leaving her in the hands of her actual mother. as a successful lawyer and entrepreneur her father had managed to convince the whole court room of her mother’s mental instability, winning full custody over the young baby practically even before her birth. but like all stories, as you may guess, even that one was laced with a dose of heavy lies.

her mother was just too young and naive to battle with the white sharks of the law world and so she played the role of the roman fool, hoping that her beautiful young babe would simply have a better life with her father. she had nothing to offer her expect a heart full of love, but her father had money and real power and in life such things were always far more useful than love. too bad none of them knew that her father had a mistress who he married upon arriving to rome. charming but greedy, the dark-haired beauty even had the privilege of naming her husband’s daughter and so she did. however, her troubles of course didn’t just end there. her stepmother was the embodiment of all the classical stepmothers in fairy tales, cold and harsh, never once showing any signs of love toward the young girl. in spite of all that, tahani was the perfect daughter; she went to bed when she was ordered to, she did her chores exceptionally well, did amazingly well in school and never broke any rules. perfect, that was the only word fitting enough to describe her with.

she lived a rather comfortable life, having more than most could even dream of thanks to her wealthy father, but nothing ever enervated her more than hearing others call her a little princess and swiftly undermining her hard work with just a few words. truth be told, tahani had been working ever since she was teenager, in all kind of mundane jobs her parents had mocked blatantly, just to prove herself she could do everything without anyone’s help. her father always refused to recommend her or sweet talk her into a job role; everything she received, she received it through her restless efforts. and all the working was a nice distraction from all the mess at home. she simply didn’t belong there, she was an extra piece of the puzzle than just didn’t fit anywhere and next to a much younger and more loved brother- tahani was simply unwanted. he was the child of the woman her father actually loved, but she had been nothing more than an accident. sure, she had most things like him but that didn’t stop her from feeling excluded. it hurt watching all of them so happy and so she did her best to stay away.

however, there was one thing that she had inherited from her mother - her good heart. giving back to those who didn’t have much and helping the sick seemed like the right call for her, so at the age of 18 she enrolled into medical school thanks to her exceptional grades. but that of course was only the beginning of her whole voyage. with a strong desire to leave rome as quickly as possible and get away from her family, she joined a volunteering program in charge of traveling across the globe and helping the sick. traveling to such remote destinations and studying at the same time proved to be a lot harder than it had seemed at first, but tahani did her best to keep her head above water.

she learned a lot more from doctors who volunteered alongside her than in actual medical school, and three years later due to constant work she had to drop out. however, she wasn’t entirely devastated for she had acquired vast knowledge and managed to help plenty of people. by the age of twenty-four, she was already among the most skilled nurses in the team, but then something happened. as history likes to repeat itself, tahani was falsely accused of stealing certain materials and medications and selling them on the black market. in that moment, that had seemed like the end of her beautiful journey. her father didn’t wish to help her and all hopes were lost until iuppiter came to aid her in such a sticky situation. but with his help also came an offer and she gladly took it.

she was first placed with the other medics, working and trying her best to keep everyone’s bodies in good shape and of course in one piece. but it was her quick and analytical thinking, great knowledge of medicine and geography and world in general that secured her a spot as a strategist. dedicated and hard working, there’s a reason why she was called the perfect daughter all her life.

most of her strength comes from within and in the rather dire situations, it’s her confidence that keeps her going. she’s a fighter, she’s been a fierce fighter all of her life, but that same fire comes with a certain dose of grace and elegance. due to the fact that she comes from a wealthy family, she knows all the etiquette of a proper behavior and in most cases, she could be described as a rather refined and and sophisticated girl who’s always there to greed you with a pleasant smile upon her lips. she’s beauty and she’s grace, but she does have a tendency to keep most things to herself, rarely daring to reveal her true motives to the world.

she tries her best to avoid any sort of heartbreak of painful situations for she’s had them more than enough in her own life. when working with the whole team she does want to make sure that all of them are equally happy and satisfied, for in some strange way they are the closest people to her. no matter how hard she tries to keep everyone at arm’s length, it’s simply impossible and her heart has grown rather fond of them all. maybe it’s because for most of her life, she had been all alone - but now she’s a part of something big and that means to her more than most things in life.

absolutely ! it is truly up to you how exactly you want to go with it, it can be with another muse or a self para — you don’t need to plan it in detail, we will assign the groups next weekend, but we’d like your muse to talk a bit about it ! figure out what they think they should do, and which group they think they’d work the best with ! think of it like this:

THE AUCTION GROUP: will need to be undercover. it’s less likely for them to go and cause a scene with so many people around, so less likely that there will be an actual fight. they can’t go in guns blazing, per se. they need might need to sneak in and out, or mingle with people in case it’s someone else who gets the artefact, and they might need to steal said item from this rich person who got it. generally, this means that members with people skills are needed, people who can blend in well with the crowd, who are well-versed and can get conversations going at such a high event ! and of course, they should get the artifact without ringing any bells ! also, in case of there being only two members of one role ( two medics, two linguistics members ), one will go with one team, and another will go with the other !

THE INFILTRATION GROUP: this group will undoubtedly be more in the center of action. they will literally need to sneak in, get through bodyguards, and figure out the exact whereabouts of the files GORO has left for his grandson. meaning, they will need to be good field operatives. weapon specialists are more of importance here, and so are old criminals with this kind of background. people who have a lack of experience when it comes to field work will need to wait outside, or only those who have to come will attend the group sneaking inside ! once again, each group needs a medic, a linguist etc. so they won’t all be huddled into one group !

THE CATCH — don’t worry ! we will assign your muse to either one of these groups and give a brief info on what they are supposed to be doing. the post will be up in the weekend, and it will consist of detailed info on how the night starts for both of the teams, and which members are going with which group. this is just to get your muse a feel of how the inquisitors work, but we are here to help you on every step of the way ! if we read about your muse wanting to go with one of the groups and also read their reasons why, it’s very likely we will assign your muse there !

do you have an age range for the characters?

minimum is 18, but due to the nature of the roleplay and how good the inquisitors are at what they do, we’d prefer them to be older than that — at least around mid twenties would be recommended, but with explanation, the absolute minumum is 18 !
