Decided to try out drawing for a fic i wan a write. Bit of backstory Dimitri is ilyukhinas 3rd back up. And so both him and grace are pit on the hail mary. Rockys not fully alone. A trainee scientist named comet also survives but barely when the hail mary gets there.

Want to write a fic where Rocky is explaining that humans don’t hear like they do, so that’s why Rocky has to dumb his language down a bit to compensate for what parts of their speech Grace CANT hear, and the others are all ‘oh, so he’s smarter than he seems-‘ and Rocky, who just got done PASSIONATELY telling them about how brilliant and amazing and impressive Grace is, ‘looks’ them dead in their shit and goes ‘no he’s actually the dumbest human I think, I’m pretty sure he’s broken, he’s like an abused dog who doesn’t understand anything’ and Grace is just sitting there nodding through the cocktail of drugs they got him on all ‘lol ya I’m a good dog’ and then passes out again

So i want to write a fic where rockys crew survives. Im trying to figure out what i want all 22 Eridians look like, what names grace would give them (probably mostly movie references or their looks) and their jobs (i dont know what jobs I would need to have on the blip A). Im having some trouble making the designs. If yall could give me some suggestions ill be really grateful.

Project Hail Mary AU Idea???

What about an AU that is almost the same except for Rocky wasn't alone on the ship? All of his crewmates survive? Adrian is there? Eridians come across strange squishy alien in space and go "ours now"? Then Grace GOES BACK FOR THEM when the taumeoba eats through their fuel and he rescues them all. I uh... don't know the logistics of how they'd fit on the Hail Mary - maybe somehow he rescues them before ALL the fuel is gone and they fix the ship and they make some... glued together monstrocity ship of the Hail Mary and Blip-A. (The Hail-A? Blip-Mary?) Rocky and him still become bffs - because they sent Rocky out (he was the most willing) first and then they slowly revealed everyone else. (Grace: ... ... I need to make a lot more ramen spaceships... :/) Maybe Rocky (and Adrian???) spend more time on the hail mary portion with him than others. Or something. Just a thought tumbling in my brain.

Thinkin' about this like I don't have fifty-billion ideas for stuff already :/ But imagine - Grace getting collectively adopted by a group of Eridians deciding that this leaky human was 'ours now' and 'no take backsies' Do I just want to see a fic with Grace in a xenonite protective ball/suit in the middle of a rock cuddle-pile in space and am doing everything I can to justify it? Maybe.

Or maybe erid has just broken the lightspeed travel barrier, and a first contact entourage is sent down to interview the genuis engineer who invented their first warp drive...

Submitted by: @beetledragon Grace describes something as magneta and rocky is confused as to why the light-to-texture device reads it as green. (Middle rough) Cue Grace having to explain that magenta happens when the average wavelength of an item falls into the green section but the item itself actually reflects exclusively red and blue light so our brain interprets it as magenta instead of green. Rocky baffled that the human brain just straight up invented a color that doesn't really exist.

Like him its survived far longer than was ever intended and is looking a bit worn around the edges. How does he feel leaving the ship? Is it a relief, or does he miss it? Is he sad to go? Scared about leaving its safety even though it's cramped? Or is it falling apart when he gets to Erid and no longer a safe haven? And what does Rocky think about all of this?

Submitted by: Anon i feel like not a lot of people talk about grace's starvation near the End of the trip to erid and I think that it should be more delved into with more impact such as the obvious more medical reasons such as unable to gain weight or muscle ect ect, but I would like to see more ED rep, especially because personally I head cannon grace as on the spectrum, and I, who is on the spectrum, suffer from mild arfid. so its something I'd like to see :D Submitted by: Anon i want more of grace gaining weight on erid! i want him recovering from starvation (and if you so choose, an eating disorder) and gaining weight and being happy!! also! physical disabilities. maybe grace has to use a cane or a wheelchair or crutches or compression clothes. maybe rocky has chronic pain or joint issues or chronic fatigue. (we should make the rock disabled too)
