Random Platonic! Plague Devisor Marileth Headcanons (WoW)

You love each other's hugs, but they burn your skin a little bit...

Whenever Marileth gets sad, you get the whole slime crew to come over and love on him to make him feel better

Marileth babysits your slime as needed

And may or may not have given it an enlargement potion for funsies

Oh my gosh! Please, can I have your essay on how Renathal uses his power differently from Denathrius? Or rather an essay on Renathal in general. I feel like it would be Christmas and Happy Birthday at the same time. If it is not much trouble for you, ofc. Love your blog so very much ❤️

ah I guess it wouldn't be essay length but it's definitely a whole lot of looking into Very Little details that might just be a coincidence in long run! But I'll happily talk about it 'cause I adore rambling about it.

SO, I'm not quite sure where to start with it. I put this together while on the Stone Legion fight.

Renathal when he has enough anima to work with has the ability to do such a powerful blast of magic to cut through the stoneform of the Generals *and* it kills every single lesser stoneborn in the air AND pelts the raid across the room. Renathal HAS this power, the ability to do that if he needs to. But he only does it during that fight, and I suspect he even holds back for Draven and the raid's safety.

Renathal also prior to that, uses his magic to completely shield the raid from the Stone Legion's assault when we reach the other levels. Every other time we see Renathal using his power, like during the venthyr campaign when we take on the Tithelord or the Maw Assault, he's much more modest. He does his floaty thing, he casts spells but he doesn't *flaunt* the power.

If he does anything it's to help his friends and allies.

That's directly in contrast to Denathrius during his fight where he's just Constantly using his powers and abilities. He's tossing the raid around on a whim, casual with throwing us here and there. He's decadent with his power. And there's something to be said that he has A Lot more anima and access to it, but that just gives another layer to it: that he uses it so flagrantly during a drought of his own causing vs Renathal using it sparingly even when the drought has ended.

But it can also be said that Denathrius, despite having this vast amount of power at his disposal never brought himself to end Renathal and his rebellion or oust them from Sinfall which I'm sure he had the ability to do with ease anytime he wanted to... :^)

anyways, this just goes to show how much I overthink things, thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Top 5 things you like about Renathal.

these aren't in any particular order as far as like, which i like more than the other, 'cause i like a lot about him equally and this is what order they come to mind

1. His dedication to his cause - the fact that he was thrown into actual super hell and didn't waver from his conviction that Denathrius - his own father- needed to be stopped and just charged right back into the fight, we stan.

2. His voice- he has a Good voice and so much expression comes out through it between the quests, cutscenes and Nathria, it's all Very Good and I love it. It's so unique and so *him*

3. No thoughts Head Empty - gather the harvesters who might still be loyal to Denathrius and tell them in detail your plan? hell yea lets do it. Charge right at Denathrius? Heck yeah. No 5-D chess playing here, just clean-cut goals. Legend.

4. The way he interacts with the Maw Walker - he's only covenant leader to interact heavily with the Maw Walker and even fight with us and seems genuinely connect and care about us, which is something I love. He doesn't put himself above others or treat them differently- this is true even for other NPC's, like being pals with Theotar, caring about Draven So Much, welcoming other covenant aid rather heavily during Maw assaults etc.

5. Design- he is tall and not conventionally attractive and can look menacing AF (complementary) which is something I like about venthyr in general- but I appreciate his design and the green which is one of my fav colors, and how his appearance kinda offplays his personality and how so much of his design simultaneously mimics and contrasts Denathrius in ways and YEA

You Are Not The Problem

Because I’ve seen it come up a few different times today…

The actions of the total scumbags at Activision/Blizzard do not reflect on you as a player or consumer. You are not a bad person for having supported them or their franchises, and the allegations coming to light have no bearing on you as a person.

Do not let good memories, many of us who have years and years of them, be ruined by what this tiny number of people did. The overwhelming majority of the people who made the games and material you love are good people who love what they do and enjoy making something cool that people get so attached to.

You as a player did not know, could not have known, and cannot be held or hold yourself responsible. You cannot stop what you never knew was happening, and unlike what some of the aforementioned scumbags have claimed, we actually did not know. Every high-horse-riding nitwit who comes along and says “well you should have because it’s everywhere” can just sit down and shut up right now. That’s now how it works. Assumption is not knowledge. Suspicion is not knowledge.

Now we know. Now we point our collective crosshairs at the people who actually deserve it. Not ourselves, not each other, and certainly not the employees trying to make it better.
