where oh where?

So where do I meet all these lovely women? That's a great question. Majority will be from a great website, okcupid.  Its free and its NOT tinder. I refuse to do that. "just swipe right bro" one of my good friends told me on how to do tinder. "let the girls figure out if they want to talk to you." He says. That's not how I roll, I have standards. And by standards I mean I don't want to talk to ladies that I'm not attracted too. We are all shallow. I mean I want a girl I can be physically attracted too. And some ladies don't make the cut.

Went on 4th date, not really sure if we should call this number 4. But anyways. Number 4 is a hair dresser so she has similar days off. We have been texting for a few days. She asked me what I as doing today and I told her I was going to see a movie. And asked her if she wanted to join me. She was excited to join. I guess a movie is the best "first" date. One can test the waters not much talking involved. And you can always leave after. Always give yourself a time limit that can be easily broken if things are going well...

Pro Tip: Movies before noon are only $7.50.

I showed up late, rookie move on my part. Always show up early so they have to look for you. We saw John Wick. Rather good for a Keanu Reeves movie. After the movie we stopped in to grab a coffee. She doesn't drink coffee (first red flag) after that I went to grab my bike on to our next adventure. And she just peace'd out.

"thanks for the movie I'm going this way."

"oh ok... thanks for coming out."

Never had that happen. Maybe getting my bike was a sign I was leaving as well...

Did she not like my movie choice? Maybe she wasn't feeling it. Honestly I was feeling it. No real connection even after texting. I dodged a bullet! Yes! That's what I did!

Inside dating at 30. Pretty much sums it up. I'll post my adventures in dating from a male’s perspective as I date my way into my early 30s. My 31st birthday is coming up this week, recently have gotten out of a rather long and serious relationship. And what better way to start this next decade than to meet a bunch of women and tell the internet what guys are thinking on first and potential second dates. NEWS FLASH: it’s not always about sex.

About me: I could say I'm your average 30 year old guy living in San Francisco. But I'm not. I don't work in the tech industry, I don't make tons of money that I promptly spend on rent. I have lived in SF for over 10 years. I work in the Food industry. Butcher, baker, good food maker is my official title (along with Destroyer of Worlds). I know my way around anyone’s kitchen and can make some decent meals.  But unlike most chefs that are all self-centered douches, that’s not me.

Currently I’m on date number 4. Don’t worry I’ll tell you about them in later posts. The first few are always the best…
