❝It's almost Halloween.❞
She’s quiet for a moment, tongue lost and words vanished. “No. In fact it’s best to be a decent person. One not awful in fact.”
A soft hum vibrated in the back of his throat. "Not sure if it's best -- definitely less fun," he gave a curt chortle.

He noticed the flaxen-haired girl as soon as she stepped into the room; how could he not? "Violet," he greeted, soft as a whisper and gentle as a kiss. "What do you want?" His voice hardened, a sharp edge piercing the air as words fell from barely parted lips.
”——You’re awful.”
He snorts, "isn't everybody?"
For those of you who've been wondering where I've been.
There was a small variety of bottled alcohol littering the counter-top. Tall and skinny and short and stout; the vessels were all different, but the contents were all, moderately, the same. Some type of alcohol that was previously left behind; orphaned liquor that was deposited in the house and forgotten.
He mixed them together, experimentally, in a chipped glass. Clear vodka sloshed together with spiced rum, creating a dull mahogany color that smelled like hydrogen peroxide; pungent and singe-worthy.
The kitchen had become a lab, and Tate was the chemist. Disturbing was ill advised, but semi-welcome, for the Devil needed a test subject.
Planned on getting replies done, that I've been neglecting, this weekend. But then I got drunk last night and I'm sore, I have multiple wounds I don't remember inflicting, and I can't seem to shake this tiredness that's looming over me. So I'll try to respond tonight or tomorrow, maybe post an open starter, but there are no promises.
Someone give me a Sound of Music AU with Tate as Rolfe and someone else as Liesl!!

At the sound of another voice she felt her shoulders jump, but it was his eyes that she met when she turned around that caused the hair on the back of her neck to stand up. Moira couldn’t keep her brow from furrowing, no matter how much she wanted to keep her cool. Because he was cute, and he was in her room, and he wasn’t invited.
"Uh, yeah. Kinda just got here." She paused, biting at her lip. Fingering the broken hem of her shorts. Moira was scared, but a heat flushed across her cheeks. Getting lost in her little fear, even if it wasn’t enough to thrill her. "Do you come with the room?" She laughed nervously, being as coy as she could muster. Coming almost naturally.
Her response is the one he was hoping for, a sign of fear, shock; shoulders pulling up to cover her neck instinctively. He smirks down at the girl once she's turns, lovely pale face shining up at him.
Black hues glint happily at the quip she throws almost immediately. "Sadly enough: no," he feigns a look of sadness that is quickly replaced with a smile. "Bu--t, I do live next door." His thumbs jabs to the side in a vague indication.

For someone who apparently had manners, he was certainly terrible at pretending he had them. She’ll return the eye roll, though a small smirk appears on her face to take the place of a scowl.
”Muriel.” She’ll respond, pride in her voice. “Tate. Tate. Tate. You must really think you’re——like the Devil or something.”
Tate had manners, his mother seared them into his brain starting at a young age, that didn't mean he practiced them. And as a successful hypocrite, Tate expected everyone else to exhibit them.
A low growl is elicited in result of the girl's chide. "It doesn't make much sense --," he'll push her shoulders roughly into a nearby wall, holding them securely there, "to fuck with me, if that were true, huh?"
