From what we have heard from various characters in the show I am assuming that when Lilith was in power and uniting all of the sinners her slogan was RESIST. From episode 5 we have seen Vox using this slogan and twisting its meaning to his campaign against Heaven and against Lucifer and Charlie.

However, I don’t think this is what Lilith’s RESIST meant. Lilith is defiant and the first rebel but I just don’t see her wanting to wage war on Heaven. I think her RESIST meant to resist conformity. I think Lilith was empowering the sinners to resist the narrative that Heaven has created about “Winners” vs “Sinners”. As we have seen from Adam and Lute, even angels are not perfect and as Charlie and Emily said if Hell is forever then Heaven must be a lie.

The rules are not black and white and I think Lilith figured this out. She was empowering the sinners to choose their own path and their own fate rather than fitting into the stereotypical sinner in Hell narrative. Just because they are in Hell does not mean they have to kill or steal etc. Their afterlife can be what they make of it, Hell does not have to be a place where people suffer, no one is enforcing this. The sinners, if united, could make Pentagram city a wonderful place of redemption and new beginnings. I believe this is what Lilith was striving for and what Charlie is attempting to live up to (Perhaps Lilith already tried to explain her idea of sinners ascending to Heaven via redemption and Heaven, being utterly paranoid, just interpreted this as Lilith and Lucifer building an army to try and take over Heaven).

Charlie idolises Lilith and most likely watched her closely when growing up and remembered everything Lilith ever taught her. The idea that Lilith was striving towards sinners achieving redemption is not something Charlie could have made up out of nowhere. Charlie has said it multiple times now that redemption not war is what Lilith wanted for Hell and given how close Charlie was to Lilith there has to be some real basis to her claims.

I think Lilith is 100% proud of Charlie, she is the proud, defiant and kind hearted princess that Lilith raised her to be. ❤️‍🔥
