influence that fiction can have on reality is serious. a lot of the fanders are young and some may be impressionable so if they see someone supporting an illegal act (even if they claim to have the will to control it) it is still spreading a bad message to people, which in return can effect reality. if you teach kids that something wrong is right they’ll grow up thinking that. it can also be a gateway for real life actions, not everyone is “strong willed”. remrom is also making a mockery of people’s trauma. i know people who have gone through inc*stual trauma and remrom angers a lot of them. it fetishizes and sexualizes a real, serious issue. treating inc*st like it’s cute is only going to hurt this community more and could possibly hurt people in real life, too. as for thomas saying not to ship it, i’m working on finding that. for now it’s a rumor.

Yes that’s why people need to tag their posts and put warnings, but if there’s children on the internet they shouldn’t be here. There’s a lot worse out there in fandoms of media made for actual children (for example the grooming in my little pony). People who ship incest usually aren’t going to fuck their sibling. People use it as a coping mechanism. It’s like the do violent video games make people violent. It lets them get all that out of their system so they don’t do that in the real world.

And YES it is incestuous and YES it is illegal in the real world, but the very act of thinking two characters are cute together is not hurting anyone as long as that person tags their posts correctly and puts proper warnings. If a child is too young to heed those warnings then their parents shouldn’t let them be on the internet. Like this one, tumblr is like porn bot central (or at least it used to be) and there are so many bad bigoted people on here that children shouldn’t be on here.

All I’m saying is don’t send people death threats and tell them to go to hell. Hate the ship not the shipper. Because I’m honestly scared someone might actually kill themselves. Over any ship really not just remrom. Because some people use fandom and certain things in it to cope, and is this a good thing? As long as they’re getting the external help they need I’m all for it. -Roman makes them breakfast every Saturday and I mean eggs and bacon are the only thing he can cook but damn if Remus doesn’t adore everything Roman makes- especially morning time wake up tea

-they wear each other’s clothes ALL the time, sometimes Roman will go to hang out with the other sides wearing a lime green sweater that has holes and rips and safety pins in it and sometimes Remus will lounge around in a big oversized red hoodie that hits his thighs and makes him look absolutely adorable

-they Both are absolute night owls, Roman just wakes up on a schedule and Remus wakes up whenever someone decides he’s slept enough, but they both stay up late together talking and kissing in between working on various projects

-sewing. buddies. they make each other outfits

-sometimes Remus will just put his face in Roman’s hair and just nuzzle because he’s lazy and whenever he smells that Roman is using Remus’ shampoo he gets flustered
