i've been loving cas challenges lately and really wanted to make one of my own. i thought it'd be fun to go a bit more abstract with some of the themes so there are a few in there that might be a bit challenging, but that's part of the fun :-)

the rules are simple: make an outfit in cas that is inspired by the theme. interpret the theme however you'd like! you can use the same sim or make different ones along the way. feel free to skip any days that don't catch your interest. it's all for fun, just do whatever feels fun for ya. i'll probably start this in june but feel free to start whenever.

god, i wish the sims community (and culture at large) would center kindness and understanding. this is my first time really participating, but i have been watching for a while now. a lot of people are so quick to judge, and a significant portion seem to get off on policing others, flexing their moral superiority, etc. like, they expect people to automatically understand the social norms of the community and behave within the bounds of their own personal morality, then react aggressively the second someone commits even the smallest faux pas. which is bizarre considering how many of us are neurodivergent!! the amount of public shaming i see makes me wanna crawl out of my skin - and over trivial, harmless shit! it is not okay to lash out or try to embarrass someone bc you think they're "annoying" or don't know something you'd consider common knowledge/obvious. even in cases where someone hasn't necessarily read the rules like they should've. maybe just kindly point that shit out? then handle it privately if the behavior continues? i don't know. this has been on my mind for years, and i never had a platform to express my thoughts until now. i guess all i'm asking is for everyone to pause for a second, consider your responses to situations, put yourself in someone else's shoes. you didn't know everything the second you logged onto the internet, you know? not everyone is aware of the ethics at play within this community. not everyone understands the unsaid social rules. people make mistakes - especially when they're in a bad place and a lot of us are in a bad place right now. offer the tools and information in a kind way, one that shows you care more about educating and including others vs. making yourself feel/look good, and i promise you will see positive changes.
