I know I’ve been alone in my room for too many consecutive weeks when I start feeling genuinely impressed by my own poetry and thinking about publishing it somewhere
I’m planning to print and frame this for my dorm room wall and pretend it’s a photo of my relatives during the Great Depression
Fascinated by how Ingmar Bergman invented a fictional land of irredeemable evil and psychic terror as the setting for his films. Fortunately, 'Sweden' isn't real.
Damn everybody loves Zimmy… I’ve never before had a post get more than 15 notes total
"I remember, growin' up, at night, my dad would sit in the kitchen with all the lights out, and he'd wait for me to come in. And he'd sit there and drink, and I'd stand in the driveway and I'd look in through the screen door and I could see the light of the cigarette, and then I'd rush up on the porch and try to get by him, and he'd always call me back. And it was like he was always... always angry. Always mad. He'd be sittin' there thinkin' about everything that he wasn't ever gonna have, until... until he'd get me thinkin' like that too. And I'd lay up in my bed, at night, I'd be starin' at the ceiling, and I'd feel like if somethin' didn't happen, if somethin' didn't happen soon, it felt like I was just gonna... like someday, like I was just gonna..."
I'M ON FIRE Bruce Springsteen ★ Paris, 1985
(Bob Dylan walks in and I accidentally deadname him) Zimmyyyy
I dreamed last night that I peeled a boiled egg but instead of a yolk I unraveled from it a long strip of yellowed parchment inscribed with unidentifiable runes and hieroglyphs. In the adjoining room there was a dead woman sitting upright in dark glasses with her breasts uncovered, above her head an incomprehensible message scrawled in pink icing on the wall. And also on that day (night?) I walked the earth with mastodons but fell back into my own century when I tripped over the edge of a ravine.

does anyone have recommendations for places online to shop for unisex-looking clothes? I’m kind of at the end of my rope… I’m trying to curate a slightly more respectable wardrobe but I can only shop in the women’s section due to my size + my mother breathing down my neck and almost everything either looks ugly as fuck or makes me dysphoric
Bob is a nickname. Nicknames are for friends, and Robert Allen Zimmerman is no friend of mine.
seeing a new gastroenterologist tomorrow… I ask that all 3-5 of you hold hands and psychically manifest for me that he’ll be the one to finally figure out what’s wrong with my digestive system
Brideshead Revisited, Ep. 4 "Sebastian Against the World" (1981)

message to whoever used my copy of Virgil’s works as a coaster. when I find you I intend to take a scalpel and permanently etch on your forehead the mark you see here
Fish skin can be grafted onto burns and diabetic wounds. The material recruits the body’s own cells and is converted eventually into living tissue.
