I was referring to TPE (total power exchange) relationships. These are sometimes referred to as “consensual slavery” with the roles often designated as slave and master instead of sub and dom. In a nutshell, the slave gives up all control to the master’s authority. From my understanding, there are usually no safe words or contracts made to place hard limits. However, limits may be discussed as something for the master to consider before people enter a TPE relationship. Additionally, the TPE relationship may be set to end after a certain time (3 months, 6 months, a year, etc.)
It’s the most extreme form of submission. The level to which a slave is micromanaged is up to the master. Sometimes they will decide the slave’s daily routine down to the last details like when the slave can go to the bathroom or wake up. Other times it’s a bit looser, with just the general knowledge from both parties that the master’s orders are to be obeyed under any circumstance.
Disclaimer that I have never been in a TPE relationship, and that people may define their relationship as TPE and not do everything the way I outlined it here. This is just what I’ve learned from my research on the subject.
Shapeshifting is so boring though! Why would you want to be someone else? I'd rather be able to do something like control water or fire.

Plus I could get into any event or location (hello flying first class everywhere, going to super cool things like talks at the UN, getting backstage at any conference, finding out if humans have really made contact with aliens by sneaking into government buildings, etc.)
Controlling an element is super cool too though! It's a much more active power than shapeshifting. If I was going to control any element I'd want it to be water, because depending on how strong your power was you could pretty much control any situation.
