Quick what are you doing RIGHT now (besides scrolling Tumblr)

#i just finished watching shutter island...... and i'm so disappointed #everyone talked about it like some great mindfuck movie that keeps you on your toes and a brilliant plot twist #i called every single twist within the first 30 minutes. from it being sus that he had a new partner and no cigarettes to the grand reveal #i even suspected patient rachel of being his wife because of the similarities of their tragedies.#the things i didn't catch onto were the cave scene (i.e patient rachel literally didn't exist but then again that was a set-up as well)#and the “why are you wet” callback........ i'm so whelmed #the issue is i finished all the christies by the time i was 12 and Roger Ackroyd literally changed my brain chemistry as an 11 year old #everyone else is copying the same homework. & of course there are no original stories but like. doesn't stop me from feeling sad #anyway leo.... that scene of him realizing what happened to his kids and his dip into the lake as he wades and swims and struggles his way #towards them... the long uncut shot..... best moment in the movie hands fucking down jesus christ #him trying to warm up drowned rachel by rubbing her feet... the two boys..... oh my god fucking heartbreaking my mom's voice was wobbling #i'm glad he chose his fate in the end though for the few seconds i thought he regressed it was such a frustrating (potential) end #miscellanea #media
