The goal of this campaign is to raise money to pay for plane tickets for refugees approved for resettlement into the United States.

A FEW EASY WAYS TO FIGHT INJUSTICE AND MAKE A HUGE IMPACT: As a result of recent governmental developments, refugee resettlement programs have been drastically defunded, but pre-approved refugees are still permitted to enter the US. To pay for a flight they either need to take out a loan from the US government (putting themselves in debt before they even leave their refugee camp) or they can be assisted through donor support. Please consider making a donation to a refugee resettlement initiative, like the one below, to give newcomers a warm welcome and a fighting chance.

Beyond funds, get in contact with a local resettlement program to learn about their additional needs. These needs can include material donations (clothing, toiletries, furniture, food, etc.) to supply newcomers with their first home in America. Programs also need volunteers to teach ESOL, take newcomers grocery shopping for the first time, teach them how to use public transportation, and so on.
