âYouâd be surprised. Some adventures out there, arenât full ready to grasp what comes. Iâve even thought of making some classes, so that new adventures, can be more used to these kinds of creatures. There are going to be bigger, badder, creatures that weâll come across in due time, but for now, those slimes will do.â
She can only hope her explanation would catch on. Since newbie adventures, may think a slime isnât much. But then when they come to fight them, they wind up being caught off guard, and wind up making a big fool of themselves instead.
The Outrider soon shook her head however.
âI figured, Iâve explained myself quite enough on the matter. Iâm an Outrider, a Knight. My job is to protect people, not to send lambs to the slaughter. I understand, the point of murder, in cases like these. But I extremely find this distasteful, and are completely against it. It would take a whole lot, for me to crack on the matter.â
Something that she shouldnât have said, but it was the truth. Amber understood, that there could be a time, where it would be needed. But it should be the very, very, very last resort for a Knight. Yet alone, wanting to commit the act in general. But in this case, itâs just throwing these creatures to be hung up and destroyed. Which not only is wrong in the eyes of the Outrider, but also, could provoke something dangerous with the Abyss Order.
Oh, Three could believe her words. Humans in her world were at times not the wisest, or the strongest. She has seen a lot of people die, and many times she has been the reason behind their death, but it was easier to assimilate when so devoid of morals.
Taking a step closer to Amber, the eerie woman would clack her scissors, letting half of her body almost fall to the side as if she really couldnât keep her balance.
She was silent, yet, it was obvious that by how she was looking at Amber, something was crossing her mind, and definitely, it wasnât something good.
âReally noble...your cause...humans are really interesting sometimes...â
Making a pause, she then grinned, still staring at the other woman and trying to fix her posture so she could gaze at the Knight better.
âIf I killed the ones you love in front of you, you would like to kill me, right?...to do horrible things to me...would it be justice? Or revenge?...what if their deaths contributed to a greater good?...would you be angry then?...â
It was needless to say that the Intonerâs presence was on itself rather disturbing, but at the same time, it doesnât seem like Three was going to do anything...for now.
