The fact that I’m so scared about this is depressing. It’s a show for the outcasts and if we look at evidence alone, you’d expect it to be canon. But I’ve been queerbaited before so I’m afraid. And I’m afraid cause I’ve had people send me threats over Byler related posts. And people have been told that they don’t belong. To not have it be endgame would go against the whole point of the show considering how a lot of the GA treats us.

“It’s a show for uplifting outcasts” and then we get stuff like Gaten finding someone trying to figure out queer identity in a time where being queer was dangerous funny. Every single time there’s even a possibility of a cast member’s statement disproving Byler, homophobes come out in droves to tear into an actual group of fans that would be considered outcasts. And even with an NDA, this is something people should be aware of. It’s not a quiet thing. And it’s awful to see people so gleefully waiting for Byler to not be canon so they can laugh at anyone who ships it. We have become outcasts in a fandom for a show that’s about the outcasts. I don’t get how people can be so blind to the fact that when they treat people this way, they’re becoming the same as the villains of the show. I wish the cast would have more awareness of the impacts. And I seriously hope it’s not queerbaiting after everything. To handle these issues, you need to respect them. It’s more than ‘just a show’ when there are serious social impacts. When you have people mass targeting and harassing groups of fans for enjoying one pairing, sending death threats, telling people to off themselves, etc, you have to stick the landing. I’m sad to say that I’m afraid of what’ll happen with the show. I’m afraid of how everything will end. A show that started as something fun and enjoyable has become tied to a lot of pain just because of harassment from bigots. We shouldn’t be chased out of a community, especially when the message of the series is that doing that is bad. And make no mistake, the people who treat us like we don’t belong share the same beliefs that Vecna does when he says “some people don’t belong in this world”

which I should add was followed up by flashbacks to scenes tied to Will feeling hurt and alone for being gay. These people are literally mirroring the show’s antagonist. I hope these get an ending that’s positive for this community and shows the entire audience that queer people can exist in stories and get happy endings. Whatever happens, don’t listen to anyone who puts you down for shipping Byler or being part of the queer community.

You deserve love, acceptance and respect unless you were born in a country the US and Israel are looking to invade which always makes Noah Schnapp shit himself with excitement. Then you don't deserve any of these things and you don't deserve to breathe either.

Hoping that Byler has a good conclusion doesn’t mean I support zionists. The people of Palestine deserve to be safe and free as well as love, acceptance, and respect. I do not and will not support the invasion of Palestine or the harming or killing of Palestinians.

Hoping so hard that Byler ends up canon. There have been so many details and things that would make that ending make sense! And it’d be so important to have a HUGE show about uplifting the outcasts, a show that’s in every living room, have that representation in /main characters/. But at the same time, I’ve been through this song and dance. I remember the posts about Snufmin going back and forth and desperately hoping while not wanting to get hopes up to get hurt. Videos compiling all the times the team shipped Snufmin and their podcast where they said they were in love. Only to go back on all of that in the last season. And WWDITS too. After so much building up Nandermo, the Nandermo ending was just a part of a joke about making the audience imagine the ending they wanted. So much if the series built up those two and suggested it was beyond friendship. And I mean, WWDITS has queer characters. We hear about how over hundreds of years of existing, the main cast has had relationships with so many people of all genders. And bi4bi is always valid. Dating someone of the opposite sex doesn’t mean you’re straight suddenly. But in terms of showing on screen gay relationships, we got a one off boyfriend for Guillermo who just left the story after a bit where he started dating himself. And it’s really disappointing to see that after all the Nandermo build up. So I’m hoping Byler is canon. It would do so much for the queer community. Usually queer shows are avoided by people outside the community. There’s an idea that we should exist in a separate space. And that queer rep is pushing an agenda. But we do exist. And we shouldn’t have to be separate. I hope Stranger Things doesn’t let us down. Because the community deserves better that being queerbaited again. And it would once again make it feel as though the themes of outcasts being accepted still draws a line separating queer fans by giving us less. Rovickie is nice. But seeing as it’s something that happened off screen, it doesn’t compare well to couples who get the build up over the season. It’d be a distinctly worse treatment than the straight couples. But Byler would be groundbreaking. So despite all the past treatment of queer fans in other shows, I really hope that Stranger Things doesn’t disappoint in this regard. I hope we come through it happy as we see some of the best queer representation in this final season. I hope they don’t hold back with this. And remember, no matter what the outcome is for this show, you are good and deserve to be accepted. Your identity matters and you deserve love, acceptance, and respect. There’s a whole community for us ‘outcasts’ and we can have each other’s backs. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️♥️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤

I don't mean sexualizing us or watching trans porn.

I don't mean treating trans mascs like "uwu soft baby boy" and trans femmes as "yass queen girl boss".

I don't mean expecting praise for using the right pronouns and using incorrect ones when "they're a bad trans person".

I mean ACTUAL SUPPORT.

Donate to trans shelters or organizations. DON'T out us to people we aren't out to. Go to protests if you're able, FIGHT ALONGSIDE US. Don't bring us around people you know are transphobic or dangerous, the list goes on. The LGBTQ community is ALL of us not just some of us.

Trans people who are documented as trans on government documents are currently not able to get passports - whether or not they accept their passport being issued as their birth sex, any indication that you're trans on a document that can be accessed by the government is being used as reason to deny a passport.

This is incredibly alarming. Even agreeing to be labeled as your birth sex is not sufficient. They want to deny trans people the ability to leave the country. Any possible reason for this is horrifying.

We need to rally now. Protect the entire community, do not allow them to throw any of us under the bus. None of us will be spared, they're just coming for the most vulnerable people first, and soon enough the most vulnerable people will be YOU.
