There are slight differences between the anime and manga interpretations. I am specifically taking my interpretation from the manga with anime elements mixed in.
about
I have not seen the anime in years and I am currently rereading the Manga as it has been literally 10 years since I last thought of this series. I did see one episode of Yashahime when it aired. I will interact with those muses but I do not consider that series cannon to my blog. I know next to nothing else about the series other than the premiere episode I watched.
Icons are made by me. the psd is bones from amourmemes and I take no credit for it. Anime icons are made by me with psd from here
Violent themes will be found here and tagged appropriately due to the nature of the series. Trigger warnings may apply. In regards to smut, I do not write smut on this blog. The ace in me won't allow it. So if threads start trending in that direction, then we can skip/fade to black if it happens.
I am open to shipping but relationships must be developed. I will not autoship InuKag. I do see it as Canon but will not engage in the ship automatically with every Kagome I see. We must have chemistry. I am open to other ships with Inuyasha as well within reason and appropriate.
This blog is mutuals only. Non mutuals are welcome to ask the muses questions or headcanon related questions. They may like headcanon posts but otherwise do not interact with threads or reblog them.
ic posts and opens are for mutuals only and open to everyone unless otherwise tagged. Feel free to tag me in starters or send asks as long as we're mutuals. Send in memes. Yell in dms go wild.
I am duplicate friendly. Let's interact for shenanigans.
Down the road I may decide to take mains and exclusives but as of right now I have none and currently do not plan on it. I want to interact with everyone.
crossover and oc friendly.
I am here to develop these muses who are dear to me and create a story. If I follow you I want to interact and I take your follow as interest. I do not follow for follow and tend to soft block if I feel a lack of interest and engagement.
Most importantly this is a hobby and we should have fun. Currently work part time and have very low energy. Please be patient.
Since I generally ignore all of the sequel, post series Inuyasha spends his time settled in with Kagome, they're married and raise Moroha to be a great demon slayer. I like to think that Inuyasha passes on Tessaiga to her when/if he dies, just as his father did to him. Since Tessaiga was reforged with his fang, his will exists in the sword and the sword is meant to protect mortals. Inuyasha travels back and forth between the feudal era and modern time with Kagome to see her family, but otherwise live quietly in Kaede's village with their friends. Inuyasha becomes a renowned hanyou for his power and ability to protect those who lack the power to do so.
although kanda was somewhat impressed by the other male’s swordsmanship and abilities, the overall arrogant attitude and BRAGGING slowly flared up his prior annoyance. hence why the expression `pon his visage was once again reflecting irritation rather than amazement.
he wasn’t sure who this person was, but at the very least there was another helping hand to wipe out the demons. whether he liked it, or not. he was also cautious as to what kind of species or being this person was, thus acting aloof.
after hearing the statement in regards to his sword, he let out a short scoff before unsheathing it. afterward, he ran two fingers along the blade itself ❝ mugen. ❞ when the name left his lips, he executed his signature stance and then struck the remaining demons down with a deadly strike.
❝ a bigger sword doesn’t equate to STRENGTH. if you were a true master of the art, you would know that by now. ❞ he muttered in response, cleaning off his sword and sliding it back into its sheath.
Inuyasha is impressed, but he is arrogant in his own way. An eyebrow is raised, his attention is piqued. But, that didn't mean he'd come out and compliment the other for his technique. Art? Inuyasha cared little about whatever the hell way was proper when wielding a sword. He was self taught and he followed his instincts which never failed him in battle.
Who needs art when he has demon blood in his vains?
❝Who the hell cares about art? You want art, go paint a picture.❞ Brash in his tone, lofty smile returned, fang and all. ❝I ain't got time for that. I wield my sword and demons fall. S'all I care bout.❞
The heat in her cheeks nearly overwhelmed her at this point. His bold request caused her stomach to do summersaults and her heart to flutter and she lightly grasped his hand.
She would love nothing more than to stay with Inuyasha even after all was said and done.
Was she allowed to do that? She wasn't sure her family would be for it, though they did adore Inuyasha.
Everything was happening so fast and all at once that Kagome felt like she was going to nearly pass out.
Hold on-
Everything he said from quitting school to staying with him and even him admitting that he was happiest when she was by his side, this all sounds like....
She didn't want to get her hopes up, but Kagome definitely felt faint now.
Not wanting to keep the half demon waiting on a response from her, she gave his hand a light squeeze and smiled reassuringly, "I'm happiest when I'm by your side." she admitted honestly.
He was glad she said that. Inuyasha had hoped Kagome felt the same way about him as he did her. But, well, he ddin't want to rush things. He didn't want to pressure her either. But if she was happy by his side, he'd accept her words as the truth. She could always change her her mind and if she did, he'd respect that decision
Inuyasha learned so much from being around Kagome and he was proud to say he was changing, little by little.
❝I'm glad. I was afraid...ya wanted to stay away for good.❞ And he's being honest. Inuyasha wasn't always the politest of souls, but he meant well. He really did adore Kagome.
❝Maybe...we can visit your family, or find a way if the well ever stops workin'. Hopefully it doesn't.❞
bruh I ate shit in my own fuckin' driveway. just got out my uber and straight tripped over my own feet in front the car IN MY OWN DRIVEWAY and busted my knee. tf.
❝I bet yer older than me! Plus, y'know, Sesshomaru has to be polite to me. He's the elder. He should lead by example!❞ He's conveniently leaving out the 'respect your elders' bit.
Miroku studied Inuyasha's expression while he wasn't looking. It was rare for the hanyou to vent his insecurities, but he wondered if there was more that Inuyasha wasn't saying. His self-esteem seemed to be at its lowest and his expectations seemed much too grand. While Miroku could surmise that wishing for more power and recognition for nearly all of his life could have consequences, he wasn't sure what had triggered this doubt in himself. He made a mental note to ask Kagome if she could try lifting Inuyasha's spirits.
He hummed a small note of empathy in response. While it was nice knowing they had trusted companions to watch their back and keep them company, Miroku had to admit that he was still unused to it all. Amber gold met indigo and the monk gave a strained smile back. "Our trauma and tragedies are incomparable," he murmured, considering using it to distract him from the point. Giving voice to the concern over his own life didn't exactly bring much comfort.
A sigh followed. Since Inuyasha had been sharing his honest thoughts up to his point, it would only be fair to follow suit. "I live in fear every day." He was quiet, keeping his tone steady and carefully unaffected. "The Kazaana is only growing in size and the time I have left is limited so long as Naraku still lives." The image of his father getting sucked into his own hand was burned into his memory, a fate that would be his own soon enough.
His fingers trail along the beads that bind his hand, his gaze focusing down at his palm. "But this curse is also my strength. With it, I can stand my ground against powerful enemies and protect what's important to me." Compared to his friends, he was just a simple monk. He couldn't imagine himself being able to keep up without the Kazaana. "The moment I allow myself to fear for my life, I may as well give into my fate."
Inuyasha spent his entire life looking at what others had. The stability other's had. Their families. Their love. A place to call home. In reality, he lived in fear, searching for the power to be able to defend himself and others like him. Hanyous were left without a place of their own. Demons and humans didn't want them. He constantly walked a path by himself with no one to really understand-not unless they met other half demons. Which, they had-met other half demons. Inuyasha always showed a rare side of himself when they had-anger, pain. Every time they met a half demon, he grew aggravated at their fate. Their fates were always poor-mistreated by those around them or used for some other purpose.
He had his doubts about the decision to become a full demon. In his eyes, he envied the strength and resilience that his friends like Sango and Miroki had. Miroku knows his life is cut short by the Kazaana in his hand but still lives to the fullest. There were traits that his mortal friends had that he lacked and by associating with them, Inuyasha was slowly learning to be more than his demonic instincts, to embrace the human aspects of himself. It's times like this in which Inuyasha felt that maybe he could embrace the humanity inside of him.
❝I ain't gonna let Naraku get the better of us. Yer gonna live. If ya don't I'll drag ya back to life n' then kill ya myself.❞ Which of course, was code for how much Inuyasha cared about Miroku in his own...rough way. ❝You just leave him to me.❞
Talking about his feelings used to make him balk, but, he's come to learn that maybe it's not so bad to lean on his friends. They're his friends for a reason...right? ❝Hey...we both ain't exactly used to havin' friends, but, I think...talkin' like this...it's good, yeah? Kagome always says so.❞
A deep breath was taken , pale hands coming up to cup Inuyasha's face. It seemed they still had some work ahead of them & more things to come to terms with , but those would be dealt with another time. Right now , all he cared about was making the Hanyou shut up.
So he frowned a bit before pressing his lips against the others. It was like staring into a mirror , he was seeing himself in this puppy he had come to love. Frustrating as it was , he had no right to say anything about it because that would definitely make him a hypocrite. ❛ Not worthless. Not lacking. Your love is all I ask for. My Hanyou. Mine. Ugh , silly puppy. You're not a flea bitten half breed. I could care less honestly. My flea bitten mutt. All mine. ❜
He bonked his head on Inuyasha's like the cat he was before nuzzling the Hanyou affectionately. His choice had been made a long time ago. There was no place he'd rather be than with his Half Demon. Anyone that would dare look down on the one he loved would face Divine Judgement.
❛ You talk too much. You're thinking too much. Just —— shut up & take me already. I love you. All of me is yours. We both want to be with each other so we'll be with each other. Simple as that. ❜
He can't help but think that Sora must be insane for wanting to be with him. There were people who made it their mission to do nothing but slaughter hanyous like him. They were seen as walking abominations in fact. Inuyasha spent his life on the run, having to defend his entire existence from people who deemed him a waste of space. Yet, here was Sora saying the exact opposite and calling him a silly fool for telling Sora that was he was better off with someone else. It was a known fact that Inuyasha was worth less than a full demon. His demonic powers and his sense were in fact not as strong as a full demon's and that's fact. He was flawed. Sora deserved better.
But well, Sora had kissed him and told him to shut up and that's what Inuyasha did. He quickly was silenced by that kiss, feeling Sora's lips pressed agains this and he leaned into it. Allowed the other to bonk their heads together. His ears are pointed forward, alert, tuned in to what Sora was doing and every action Sora took. He may be flawed, but he was Sora's through and through and no one would rip them apart.
❝Heh, guess if ya say so, then I ain't gotta choice, huh? I guess I'm stayin' wit' ya until ya get sick of me.❞
