We 3D printed Mehrune’s Razor from Skyrim. One of my favorite daggers from the game. If you want to 3D print your own you can find it here.

Here we can see it still in the 8 separate pieces, all laid out in order. Assembling the dagger in game was a fun quest, so we’re looking forward to doing it IRL as well. :D

Inventory Screen is starting to 3D print prosthetic hands and donate them to kids that have lost hands or were born without. This is a really cool project and we are super excited for it. Personally, I find the engineering part of the build so exciting! So many little pieces come together to make an amazing product that is for an awesome cause.

The youtube videos of the kids unboxing and trying on the hands for the first time are so touching and moving. Seeing their reactions makes it all worth it.

Looks like we can 3D print a full working prosthetic hand in about 25 hours. One hand a day!

The pictures here show the raw hand just off the printer. We have not installed the wires or elastic bands yet. You can see the dark red plastic filament I’ve threaded through the guide holes, that’s where the wires will be installed.

We took our 3D printed Pipboy 3000 from Fallout 3 and gave it a Wasteland Weathered look. This thing is ready for some action!

Inventory Screen is building our third 3D printer. This is a Cobblebot.

15x15x15 inch build volume. 1.25 foot cube is the total size of this beast.

This square printer will be enclosed in a custom built heated enclosure. That will let us 3D print with materials that need to stay hot longer than most, kind of how Adamantium works.

Polycarbonate is one such material that needs to cool down slowly to prevent corners from warping and curling upwards during a print. This new printer will let us do just that.

We have the Golum statue from the LOTR collector’s edition. Always wanted it a different color, maybe clear like glass.

So we made a test mold and cast an Iron enriched onyx version of Golum. You can see the magnets on his elbow. They stick thanks to the Iron powder we mixed into the cast.

For a test cast this proves the concept. Next up is using clear resin, pour it, and use the rotocaster to have it turning for 16 hours while the clear sets up. We should end up with a see thru statue of Golum.

We’ve been working on some really epic stuff lately. Armor from Halo is iconic and we wanted to pay homage to one of the most beloved video game series of all time by offering the armor to those interested.

This is the first step in our process of preparing an item to be molded. We 3D printed all the parts and secured them in place using epoxy. The top picture shows the initial layer of primer on the helmet and next we’ll apply bondo over the entire helmet to smooth it out so it’s ready to be molded (this will be repeated multiple times until we achieve the finish we want) and then we cast copies in resin!
