I loved using new materials that i had never come across before. In particular I worked a lot with chainmail and crystal mesh. I loved the challenge of creating darts in the shapes and also fixing old samples.

My aim was to target new stores in the UK that would suit the ITMFL consumer aesthetic. I researched and contacted boutiques, independent shops and department stores and gathered their buyers information. I then sent out image packages and mail chimps to increase engagement/awareness of the newest collection and scheduled appointments for the High/Summer 22 Collection.

Unfortunately due to COVID we didn’t open the showroom in Paris and New York. However, I did spend one day in Paris during fashion week helping out with one of the brands “In the Mood For Love”. I assisted in the preparation of the showroom before the appointments.

Second Internship - September - December

A luxury Ready-to-Wear, Resort wear, Swimwear and accessories wear showroom based in Chelsea. Representing 16 global brands in New York, London, Paris and Miami. Working alongside clients and their in-house teams to build their brands globally.

I interned as a wholesale showroom assistant. My daily tasks included:

Scheduling appointments and assisting during sales appointments with buyers.

Learning how to pattern cut and improving sewing skills. My first corset (unfinished) I made during my internship when we had free time. Using crushed velvet and poly crepe recycled material. With added boning and panelling.

So amazing to have pattern cut these looks by Christopher Kane and working as a intern throughout the whole design process and also assisting in the fashion show. Theses are some of my favourites from the collection.
