Vending machines, or 'save points' as they are referred to in this world, are relics of the world that came before. It's suggested that they were much more abundant and often people enjoyed a cold drink from one of these. Our knowledge of how these were made is scarce and once one fully breaks down, we've no way of making a new one. Thankfully, the bashful-yet-hardworking fae are responsible for maintaining and resupplying them for any travelers who pass by looking for a quick rest. And as such, the name 'save point' came about. These 'save points' only continue to operate as their creator intended thanks to glowworms. Glowworms are the larval state of both fireflies and lightning bugs. On their own they may only be used for light but once they mature they can be used for kindling, cooking, fireplaces, lights, electrical power where available, and possibly more. They are all technically the same creature, how they mature into fire- or lightning-elements depends on their environment.

(from my blog) hello, been a little while. i spent a long time thinking about what to do with these characters i made over the course of the past year-and-a-half now. i debated sharing anything because i didn't feel it was worth sharing at all. i'm trying to change that.

i have no idea how to appeal to people with or who would even be interested in the stuff i like drawing lately but i guess sharing is the start to finding that audience. just gotta keep drawing and remembering to share i guess.
