@ipreferspontaneous liked for a kiss
There was nothing more appealing that a beautiful woman that was aware of how powerful she was. Eric was quite fond of her cocky ‘alpha’ attitude, perhaps a true testament of the Viking that she was. “You always leave just before the fun begins” Eric mused in his low hum of a voice and determined that is she wanted to be so frustratingly teasing, he’d at least get a goodnight kiss as he strode the small amount of steps after her, coiled his arm around her waist and claimed a single shallow but lingering kiss of her lips.
“In case you do not grace me with your company again, something to remember you by” he didn’t smirk instead he took her hand and kissed her knuckles keeping his gaze pinned in her eyes in an attempt to sway her to stay a little longer.
The two of them had crossed paths several times over their long lives, and each time it was always the same. She was beyond attracted to him, however Rebekah chose to live in the moment, not wanting to plan too far ahead just in case her brother was to decide to dagger her again and take her away from a life that could make her happy like she felt she deserved. “The fun comes and goes with me, darling,” she grinned before letting out a soft gasp as he pulled her close, returning his kiss.
As he pulled away, she let out a soft sigh, looking down at her hand as he kissed her knuckles. She bit down on her lip in the center, her eyes meeting his as she forced an exasperated huff, “Well, I suppose I can stay a bit longer.”
He had never left Mystic Falls before they had left on their world tour. The summer had only just begun. They had plenty of time to do whatever Rebekah had on her itinerary. It felt strange to have left his home, yet it also felt right, and like a weight had lifted. The troubles of his hometown were not his problem for the next three months or so. Admittedly, he was on a world tour with an original vampire, and one who had not always been the best person, but life was about living, right?
He looked over at the blonde in the passenger seat of the car for a moment as they halted at a red light. “So, where are we going to go first?” He questioned, curiously. He knew very little about what they were going to do other than what she had told him before. Ah right, what she had told him when he had been stuck on a bomb by an ex who was dead, and wanted to kill them all.
Since the moment that she’d Matt, Rebekah had known that there was something special about him. He was an extraordinary person, yet so plainly human all at the same time. There was always something about Matt that had drawn her in, and though she hadn’t always been the best person, somehow she had gotten him to agree to spending the summer with her, and she couldn’t wait to see just how it all played out.
In response to his question, she hummed quietly in thought, pursing her lips, “That depends — where would you prefer to venture to first? Paris? Dubai? Rome?” she suggested, an arch of her brow as she grinned with excitement. “Oh, that reminds me.. I got you a passport,” she said, fishing it out of her bag and handing it to him.
“You might be okay with his bitching, but I’m not. You’re his sister. I’m…” she didn’t finish that sentence. Instead, she shook her head. “I’m not listening to him possibly talk about me needing to be safe and careful.” Caroline scoffed and rolled her eyes. “I’m capable of taking care of myself. I don’t need him or anyone else to do it.” Sore spot much?
“You can walk into the compound, I will be sneaking in.”
“You’re his infatuation, and you’re a tad more disposable than I am,” she finished Caroline’s sentence for him. “I’m honestly surprised that he hasn’t stuck you with a couple of hybrid lackies for bodyguards. On second thought.. you probably should sneak in, just in case he decided to do so,” she smirked.
“I don’t throw pity parties. I throw amazing parties that involve fun and booze. And, you know what, Rebekah? Maybe I thought you could use a friend. Sorry for caring. I’ll stop.”
“Forgive me if I haven’t heard of these parties — I was likely too busy with my own. Fine, perhaps I’ll have a party to celebrate myself and lack of need for friends.”
❝ You know my sister always made me promise to come home safe. And I did. I survived a war and I lost friends along the way. But not once did I ever think to make her promise me the same thing. I always thought her safe here. And now she’s gone…. my little sister is gone. And I- ❞
“What you did was admirable — many people would see you as brave. However, with Madeline, I assure you that it’s not your fault, and I doubt you being here would have helped her situation. If she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, it would have likely happened with or without you, Michael.”
@ipreferspontaneous liked for a starter.
“So, word on the GRAPEVINE is.. you’re into Tyler now?” Stefan heard the rumors. About how Rebekah and Caroline had a little SPAT at cheer practice. He actually thought it was funny. Though, Caroline didn’t seem to think so. “A bit flighty isn’t it?”
“Through the grapevine, you say? Truly, Stefan, your feeding into gossip is going to ruin what little appeal that you have left,” she smirked devilishly. “But, since you must know, I have an interest in no one. I just enjoy getting under people’s skin at times. Surely you know what that’s like.”
“What did you have in mind?” She closed her book on crossed legs curiously.
“I say we go out, have a bit of a girl’s night — no magic, no vampire stuff, just some fun between acquaintances. What do you say?”
“The nerves come from fear Rebekah, he is frightening and I don’t want to be used for screams, it’s unfair you know. You make friends? None of you seem to have good ones.”
“I understand that. I know what it’s like to be used for the things that you can do for others, only to be cast aside. However, I must warn you to never imply I’m incapable of making friends.”
“It’s fine. I brought some clothes with me.” Caroline glanced at the other blonde and smirked. “You were pretty badass, Rebekah.” She slid her fingers through her hair, wincing when she felt the blood. She was going to need an extremely hot shower now. She didn’t quite know her way to the compound so she had to follow Rebekah closely.
“Klaus is going to be pissed,” she sighed. “I really don’t want to have to hear him bitch. Think we can sneak in and change without him knowing?”
“Lovely — it’s nice that you have a secondary wardrobe for events of these sorts,” she teased. “I’m aware..” she spoke, shrugging her shoulders, “but thank you. You weren’t so bad yourself, Caroline,” she replied. She wanted nothing more to get back to the compound and take a much needed shower. Glancing behind her to ensure that Caroline wasn’t far, she headed in the direction of home.
“I’m not concerned with the temperament of my brother. But, if you feel we should, then I suppose that we could always try.”
Annnnnnd there it was. “Because I feel sorry for you. Because your brother screwed you over and you didn’t get to have the life you deserved.”
Oh. “Well, luckily for you, I don’t need anyone to feel sorry for me. So, feel no obligation to spend another moment around me — I wouldn’t want to inconvenience you into throwing me a pity party.”
“Shall we abandon these stupid men and their tainted twisted brains for one night then?”
“I believe that we should,” she nodded, holding the redhead’s gaze before stepping closer, tucking a loose bit of hair behind her ear as she leaned in, pressing her lips to the younger woman’s.
“Maybe it was a hidden way. Would you say yes or no? because if it is a no, I’m going to pretend I was just using this as an example.”
“I would love to go to a twenties party with you, Stefan. Ironically enough, I believe it could offer some much needed nostalgia. Do you know of one soon?”
“No. And don’t say it, okay. Whatever you’re thinking now, I don’t want to hear it.”
“Oh, but I think I’ll say it either way — you don’t dislike me as much as you’d like me to believe that you do. Why?”
“Maybe. Probably not,” Caroline admitted sheepishly. She looked down at her clothes and sighed. She’d need to burn them now. Her lips turned downward into a frown when she realized that she was wearing one of her favorite shirts. “We should get back. Make sure that everyone else is okay.”
She looked over Rebekah quickly. “You’re good, right? No weird wounds or anything?”
“Well, then, I’ll keep that in mind for next time,” she spoke, unsure herself of whether or not she was joking. Seeing the way that Caroline inspected her clothing, she gave her a once-over before shrugging, “Hayley should have some clothes you can use at the compound.”
Rebekah didn’t take a moment to look herself over, not needing anyone to know of her vulnerabilities if she was in fact injured, “I’m perfectly fine, let’s get going.”
“White myself, I don’t really agree to much with red wine. I guess your brother just makes me nervous, he scares me and I guess I should in a house full of original vampires.”
“White it is, then. My brother makes many people nervous, and frightens even more. Trust me, it’s quite the buzzkill when trying to make friends.”
“ nothing too touristy, scouts honor. wouldn’t want to lose the OPPORTUNITY of spending the day with you. “
“the opportunity to spend time with me, hmm? you say that as if i’m some sort of hot commodity, joshua.”
