Automattic has purchased Tumblr • Post Status

Automattic has purchased Tumblr from Verizon, in a surprising move.

Wow! This comes way from the left field.

Adult content policy will stay the same. But Automattic will implement their own content editor (WordPress), which is much better than Tumblr's which hasn't had an update in years. The Tumblr experience should stay the same. But hopefully snappier and faster.

But again, wow. Did not see that coming.

A domain to delegate your tumblr to so it is no longer under tumblr.com.

This stops the Oath interstital showing up, and I am told it also measn that your flagged content is still available. I haven't verified that - if it works for you, do please tell me.
