Reblog if you do NOT want the new Tumblr update
Apparently, from what I hear people say, in the new Tumblr update, if someone reblogs your post and adds a comment of their own, that reblog is counted as a new post and it belongs to the reblogger. Not you. You, as the OP, do not get the notifications if someone else later reblogs from the person who reblogged your post with their own comment. You can’t see what comments people leave on the reblogs of the post you originally made unless they reblogged directly from you.
If this is actually true, it will just open doors for harassment. And also it takes the credits away from the OPs. Tumblr’s etiquette has always been “reblog don’t repost”. So this new update, if true, contradicts the whole core values of Tumblr as a community.
Respectfully, we don’t want this @staff @support @tumblr @changes please listen to your users.
I’d also like to clarify that this is what I hear from what a lot of people are saying, and it bothers me. But if I got anything wrong, I do apologize.

AuFiCon 2026 !
Who's excited? We certainly are! We have many panels, presentations and workshops planned and ready for you to attend throughout the weekend. The schedule is now LIVE. Go check it out here: https://auficon.org/#schedule

It is hosted via a combination of Discord and Twitch and takes place over one weekend. Grab a free ticket through this link here (as well as donation tickets). We hope to see you there!
I am currently moving my to-be-listened playlist from spotify to the podcasts app and I just realize that I might have a podcast dependence problem…..
Why is there so many of them……
Help.
Average Podcast Experience
Murderbot is probably the most embarrassing hyperfixation to have because oh really? You're hyperfixated on the 'hyperfixates on media to avoid the real world stress and anxiety' media? Is it. Is it to avoid your real world stress and anxiety, perhaps??
Does anyone have any NON-traumatizing fiction podcast recommendations? Are we sure they exist? Bc so far i have yet to find any
That's a great question, and as a fan of low stakes / slice of life podcasts I happily list some non-traumatizing podcasts that I enjoy; maybe a few of them are nice for you, too:
Travelling Light (by @monstrousproductions. A science fiction podcast about a traveller sending letters and archive entries to their religious community back home. It's like Within the Wires season 4 (the one with Freya and the Cradle), if Freya were not the egoistic asshole she was. Travelling Light is very low-drama, mostly observations of alien life. And even when there are problems, all is told in a super soothing voice. I sometimes find myself physically relaxing just by hearing the first beats of the intro music.
Sidequesting (@sidequestingpod). A fantasy podcast that could very well be set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons (or similar). The protagonist is an aroace adventurer who ignores all evident signs of being Chosen For Some Huge Main Quest and instead helps relatively normal people solve rather mundane problems. Like, getting rid of tourists after a Sword In The Stone appears, searching a missing cat, or helping someone pick a special flower. It's perfectly low-stakes, often addresses queer topics, and I just love the narrator.
Stories from Ylelmore (@storiesfromylelmore). Urban fantasy, but from the point of view of three kids living in a village (so, rural fantasy, if that is a thing?). One kid is a witch, the other a werewolf, and the third has a kind of cursed family. The first two are friends for what feels like all their lives, the third is the new kid. The stories are much about daily hassles, but also address more serious (and important!) topics such as bullying and overburdening responsibilities.
Girl in Space (@girlinspacepodcast). A space opera about, well, a girl in space. Who lives alone on a space station near some artificial star, until some Evil Corporation sends some soldier to try and get their capitalistic hands on some revolutionary science data stuff. But the protagonist finds friends among the soldiers, and the fight against capitalism begins. This show has quite some drama, but the protagonist is gorgeously optimistic and the story is told mostly in a light-hearted way. If you ask me, that's the better Wolf 359.
Absolutely seconding all these recs, they are so good!! I'll add on a few more of my favourite comfort shows:
The Vesta Clinic ( @vestaclinicpod): Case notes dictated by a doctor working at a free clinic in the asteroid belt. With the help of a sassy AI, Sec, and sometimes the two other doctors or the clinic's nurse, Dr. Faye Underwood chronicals her many patients of various species and their ailments. It is so compassionate and creative, but still feels so grounded.
Waiting For October (by @monkeymanproductions): October is another reality, the source of monsters for this world's stories. Follow along as Karo introduces their girlfriend, Yvonne, to this world and some of the many monsters within, all while they try to understand their own place in October. There are werewolves, The Raven, Auncle Lantern, Charlene the Lake Champlain monster, the Lindworm, a perfectly normal cat named Frederic... It's so lovely!
Wanderer's Journal ( @wanderersjournalpod): Two separate wanderers each stumble across a magical journal that writes down what they say and transmits their words to each other.
World Gone Wrong ( @worldgonewrongpod): Two friends/roommates are separated and start a podcast to stay connected and deal with all sorts of magical, supernatural, and apocalyptic changes happening to their world.
The Proserpina Park ( @proserpinapark): What if there was a hidden park (think national park) where mythological creatures from all over the world could live safely? Well Alina accidentally stumbles across just such a park, and learns more about the creatures living within with each visit.
Midnight Burger ( @midnightburgr): A time-traveling dimension-spanning diner in space! Starts out more silly, with adventures of the week, but quickly turns into a bigger, heartfelt, driven story (still with lots of silliness).
Inn Between ( @innbetween): A magical inn follows a group of adventurers as they seek their fortunes and become heroes of the realm. However, you only hear what happens when they're at the inn! Such a creative way to tell the story, I love it.
Saffron and Peri ( @saffronandperi): Saffron is a professional fairy godmother and her best friend, Peri, is a djinnia who runs the magic support line. Their adventures blend classic fairytale elements with modern day life.
As I’m diving head first in my re-obssesion of the shadowhunter chronicle, now I’m wondering what will Magnus do if he visit his hometown
I’m this close on making a Jakarta Shadowhunter World AU
breaking down over the reveal in mistholme first ep of third season
So as I am back in my hyperfixation on Magnus Bane, I caught myself wondering why the word ‘Magnus’ feels like an itch in my brain
‘The Magnus Archive’ I literally forgot that the podcast I binged and inhaled any sliver of contents since 2022 is called that
Why? Why creators love the name Magnus so much
This is the case of too many Magnus-es (and I’m not even in the PJO fandom)
