"Alright, how much sugar do I have to add to this?" You ask while stirring the batter. Your hands were all mucked up from the ingredients and honestly, Boothill was the better chef between you two so he was delegated the Very Important Job of instructing you on the recipe

"Eh... 'bout a quarter of a cowboy boot o' sugar" Boothill answers. You blink and stare at him, searching for any tell-tale sign that he was fucking with you. Instead, he blinks back innocently, and raises an eyebrow in a silent "Well?"

"That... can't be right."

"Swear on mah hat, that's how my folks used t'make it."

"Your family used a cowboy boot to measure ingredients????"

"Yeah?" Boothill shrugs, as if you were somehow being completely unreasonable. "Everybody i knew had a measuring boot."

"That doesnt sound very hygienic."

"We always used brand-new boots. The fork do ya take us for, animals?"

You bite down the urge to gag at the mental image and put your hands up in surrender. You were absolutely not gonna go down this road.

"All y'all fancy space folks use the weirdest things t'measure. Every good chef i knew had a measurin' boot" Boothill rolls his eyes. He digs around in the cabinets and to your surprise, holds out a tin boot with little numbers etched on it. Where the hell did he even get that from?

"Okay.... a quarter boot of sugar added... What's next?" You sigh, warily pouring the sugar to the batter

"Mmn... next y'gotta add a tumbleweed o' honey and half a Stetson o' baking pow- Hey! Where the fork do ya think you're goin'!?"

Yeah no. You give up.

Summary: How the Hsr Men act when they’re in love with you!—pre-established relationship

(C)W: gn reader, not beta read and english isn’t authors first language, possibly ooc as it’s been a while since i‘ve played hsr (i'm getting back into it), reader is a stellaron hunter in blade‘s part—nevertheless please enjoy!

Blade:

-would deny that he harbors any sort of romantic feelings towards you— to others, himself and anyone who‘s speculating

-Silver Wolf and especially Kafka would be teasing him about it 24/7

-would try to keep you away from any dangerous missions even if it’s impossible due to the inevitability of evading the actions written in the script

-overall pretty quiet about it, but ultimately not unnoticeable as you would never escape his yearning gaze whenever you set out for a new mission (i imagine he has some attachment issues after everything that happened with the high clout quintet)

Boothill:

-would become more clumsy, awkward & shy around you and probably (try to but fail miserably at it) cuss himself out afterwards

-is definitely the type to check you out (does it shamelessly too)

-until you bring it up to him (and maybe even try to flirt) —then he’s a blushing mess once again

-probably doesn’t take a lot of time for him to confess (not that he really had to y‘know, you always knew)

Dan Heng:

-you would probably not notice a difference in how he views you for quite some time (he isn’t really the type to talk much or openly show affection after all)

-nevertheless there would still be little changes in his behavior towards you!— even if they go unnoticed

-he would likely spend more time with you, be more attentive to your likes and dislikes (i headcanon that he‘d make a little list about them, so cute) and would show more concern for your overall wellbeing (not that he didn’t care at first, he‘d just be more open about his worries)

-likewise i think he’d also be more protective of you, especially if someone tries to hit on you

-gets jealous pretty easily but tries not to show it (you still notice though)

-will get flustered if you try to tease/ flirt with him (and man, is it cute)

Aventurine:

-would definitely spoil you rotten (and when i say rotten i really mean it) so expect sudden expensive gifts & transfers of credits

-is definitely the type to randomly appear at your front porch to take you on a free shopping spree (all on him of course)

-if you decide to reciprocate and gift him something as well, he would probably not accept at first and tell you that it’s really not necessary

-but would ultimately give in and be really delighted and grateful to be given something back (pls spoil him as much as he spoils you, he really deserves it)

-is pretty flirty (especially when drunk) which makes it even more difficult to try to decipher his intentions

-at the end of each day you‘ll probably return to your apartment/house, plop onto your bed and once again ask yourself „what are we?“ till you finally fall asleep and maybe even dream about him 🤭🫪

Sunday:

-is pretty shy (and overall just pretty you gotta admit), will probably stutter a lot and gets easily flustered— especially if you point it out! (he‘ll then cutely cover his face with his wings and it’s the most adorable thing you‘ve ever seen)

-very much a gentleman, will open every door for you, get you random little gifts and is overall really sweet— and if you want to do the same- he‘ll once again get really blushy- just try it, it’s really cute!

-apart from acts of service and gift giving i think his main love language is (like welt‘s) quality time

-you‘ll often times meet up just to talk with each other— the conversations ranging from simple small talk to something more akin to deep talk

-overall I believe he would really appreciate somebody who will just sit next to him and listen— something that he had to do for so so long, so please just let him vent to you from time to time, he‘ll definitely listen to your troubles too when needed! (man, is it to noticeable that i feel way to emotionally attached to this guy?)

Jing yuan:

-in comparison to Sunday almost never gets flustered or embarrassed, quite the contrary— in most cases you‘ll be the one left blushing, even if you were the one initiating the flirting!

-like Sunday I also imagine him to be very gentlemanly—if you’re planning to go somewhere together he‘ll pick you up and if you’re driving expect passenger princess/prince/royalty (?, I’m sorry I couldn’t find a good gender neutral term) treatment

-summing everything up I think he‘d be quite flirty and treat you really nicely even before anything is confirmed— in fact I think he‘d be the type of person to neither confirm nor deny allegations of you two being a couple (considering that this man will definitely spoil you and is very much in the public eye, expect frequent speculations about your relationship)

Summary: How the HSR men act when they’re in love with you!— pre-established relationship

(C)W: gn reader, english is not my first language and this is my first fanfic - please forgive me if the format is a a little weird!, not beta read and quite short (sorry about that) nevertheless— enjoy!

Dr. Ratio:

-will probably offer you free tutoring sessions if he notices you’re struggling with something and once you question him for it uses the excuse of „it helps me in the pursuit of curing ignorance“ and tells you to „not get the wrong idea“

-always invites you to gatherings and events as his plus one but once again denies that he holds any affection towards you by saying that he „just doesn’t wish to be alone surrounded by a bunch of idiots“ (hold on, does that mean we’re not idiots in his eyes?- he’ll yeah!) and that public events aren’t „his thing“ so he prefers to bring someone he knows (which is true but iykyk)

-is quick to notice mood changes and encourages you to talk about anything that may be troubling you

-but he‘ll mainly encourage you to take action yourself 

-nevertheless is always there for you and is in general a very reliable person!

Welt:

-his love language is most likely quality time so you’ll probably notice an increase of time spent together

-will deny that though if you bring it up while covering his incredibly red face with both his hands (man, i love this headcanon sm)

-main activities probably include talking to you about his animations (excitedly if i might add) and taking a walk together (yes I know that’s old couple shit but the man is like 89 or something so it makes sense ok!)

-like ratio is someone you can always come to if you need something even if he’s not the absolute best at comforting you!
