I’m sitting by the isostatic press for the third day straight and I need some stimulation. I also desperately need to work on my internship report, so I’m typing this in an attempt to get my brain into typing mode.

I bought a very pretty dress yesterday - I think it makes me look like a fairy or like I have come from Narnia. The floral print, the colours and the cut gives it some major Winx Club vibes. Like, paired with my dirty green hightops it’s serving garden fairy. But I also saw another very similar dress, just in black and white, and I’m gonna try and buy it today. Also some socks maybe and a miniskirt, I really want another miniskirt. 

I’m tired. And I’m dizzy. Need a nap.

It’s been more than a year, I have finished my third year of uni and have started working in an institute for my bachelors thesis. I’m scared about my last year of bachelors, I can’t even comprehend properly how I have gotten this far (online uni helped the most, probably - much easier to cheat).

Yeah the whole “Imma start a studyblr to stimulate my brain more and make it more fun and exciting so I stop procrastinating” thing kinda went out the window quite early. At this point I’m too tired to fight my brain and I just go with the flow of the day, doing my best to stay in the important time brackets. I actually have a deadline coming up in few days, I have done absolutely nothing for it and my plan is to buy an energy drink to get me in focus mode and hopefully be able to get up tomorrow. 

I have gotten better with making mistakes and asking for help. When I started working in the institute, there were many things I didn’t know, mainly how all the equipment worked. So I just pushed myself to ask for help, since I knew that just standing there and looking dumb would not get me anywhere. And I also taught myself that admitting a mistake is not going to lessen my worth in anybody’s eyes, it will just make it easier to fix the mistake as soon as possible. I still suck at both things, but I’m getting better.

My first month back at uni has almost come to an end. 

The first three weeks I was constantly grinding, doing as many assignments as possible, staying on top of my game. I also had multiple different event meetings each week, which usually took place in the evening, so it wasn’t strange for me to get home at like 8 PM, but I used my waiting time to do said homework so I could just crash on my bed when I finally got home. 

This last week has been a constant struggle - I can’t find any motivation to do more than just bare minimum, I don’t even want to get out of my bed in the morning. It’s been stressful with the virus, because when fall comes, everybody usually catches a mild cold or something, because we do live in Northern Europe after all. But with COVID we have to sign papers at the beggining of each lecture and lab, that we don’t have any upper respiratory system infection symptoms, even if it’s only a scratchy throat or runny nose. So I have been drinking herbal teas like water these past few weeks.

Also - starting today all lectures are happening online. Labs are still on campus, but only labs and we have to wear masks the entire time we are there. The numbers have risen astronomically in the last two weeks, mid-september there were like 150 active cases, today there are over 2000, like what the fuck. Masks are mandatory on public transportation again as well, so I have once again started walking from my dorms to faculty, just to escape the hassle as much as possible. 

Tomorrow I have a Maths test and an online Physics lecture, but I’m also going to my boyfriend’s early tomorrow morning, so I probably won’t be on the lecture.

I've already decided the topic for my end-of-degree project and I'm really excited about it because the professor in charge is my favourite one ✌🏻 But before starting it I need to keep on studying other subjects!

a week later i, by accident, got a part-time job at a fine dining restaurant and pretty much forgot about the concept of university studies. but hey money is fun, helpful and neccessary so i'm not complaining (too much at least). in addition to feeling lost for the most part of the weeks, trying to grasp new wines and work routines, i make a small effort to study the fascinating concept of modern political theories, political opinion, civil rights, work law and some russian grammar. you think i can manage a job and these five courses? i'm convinced i won't.
