I started slowly getting back into Mortal Kombat again recently so I figured I'd revive one of my old names and reshare my old characters.

Yelena was invited to the tournament after she retired from being in the Russian army. She arrived in Earthrealm and was immediately jumped by Outworlders, which she was mostly able to fight off.
She ended up losing an eye during the whole interaction, being taken in by Cassie Cage to be taken care of by the Special Forces Unit. Yelena eventually joined the SF to help defend Earthrealm, using her past skills to her advantage.
She got kicked out due to being way too violent with other SF soldiers, and in her low state, had a one night stand fling with Kano. After that night, she decided to do her own thing, having a business for being a personal assassin for those who needed it.

Ying was created from Shang Tsung's fountain of souls, being personally raised and trained by the sorcerer himself. Nobody exactly knows how she came to be nor how Shang Tsung created her, but she exists.
She heavily takes after his personality, with a more evil twist. She actively plots against Earthrealm and it's protectors, either by disguising herself or giving empty threats.
She still is with her father, just on the down low since Raiden put out a bounty for her head

Patrick escaped during Shinnok's attack, running to his Aunt's house for hideout. He assumed Aofie was dead, since she was still in the house during the attack.
He trained often with the survivors, eventually traveling to Earthrealm to search out for his sister. He was stopped by Hanzo, who recognized his rage and goal for vengeance, seeing himself in Patrick.
Patrick was brought into the Shirai Ryu where Hanzo personally trained him, teaching him different fighting methods and the art of pryromancy.
Patrick would eventually reunite with Aofie, fighting by her side, since they were the only family by blood they had left.

Corbin was born around time the Potato Famine was occurring. He was an only child, and he couldn't leave Ireland due to money issues and other problems they were facing. During this time, he found fascination and comfort in bats. He would watch them fly around the sky at night and the left over crops. They brought comfort to him.
Corbin would eventually teeter on the brink of death due to starvation, but was rescued by Raiden at age 14. A bat was found tucked in their shirt, having bitten him in an attempt to escape.
Upon being taken to Earthrealm to be treated, Raiden noticed their body reacting to the bite...with a bit of magic from himself and dark magic from Shang Tsung, the worked together to bring Corbin back to stable conditions, while combining the bat DNA with his body.
He was eventually trained by Bi-Han, Shao Kahn and Skarlet, and ended up dating Skarlet later in life. She was a blood witch, so she had the blood he needed to feast on. He grew resentment over Raiden as well as he grew older. He understood Raiden took him away to save him but he was mad that Raiden didn't at least help his parents as well.
Corbin does look up to Aofie as a role model of sorts as well....inspired by her confidence, he sees her as an inspiration. He often finds himself wanting to learn more about her, and bond with her based on their Irish backgrounds.

Aofie arrived in Kotal Kahn's army after receiving training from Fujin. Still dealing with the trauma of losing her parents and neighbors during Shinnok's unexpected rampage, she mostly kept to herself, only speaking when Kotal gave her orders.
She didn't have a home when she arrived. Erron Black offered to let her stay with him, since they had been forming a close bond behind the scenes.
Erron aided Aofie in seeking her vengeance against Shinnok. They failed, almost dying in the process. Upon returning to Kotal, he beraded them for sneaking out behind his back, and decided to execute Erron for his actions.
Aofie jumped in the way last minute, her life being taken instead of Erron's. She died on spot, her vengeance never succeeding.
A revenant form was born, and her physical body in the Netherrealm was tainted by demons, causing her to be rebirthed as one. Raiden ultimately reversed it, but she still lives with that form.
Aofie joined Erron when he agreed to be involved in the black dragon. It wasn't her smartest move, but she wanted to make sure Erron was safe.
Her and Erron married in the Black Dragon's headquarters, their bond being stronger than when they first met.
She often sleeps with the same nightmares, watching as Shinnok murdered her parents in cold blood..over..and over..and over again. The fact she wasn't able to get revenge filled these nightmares.
Older her agreed to turn back to Kotal with Erron, despite still being on edge about the memories of him murdering her and threatening Erron.
She has gotten more training since the events of her death, being more prepared and ready for any threats her way. She still plans her revenge, now aiming for Kronika, since she is the mother of her parents murders

Zaria Angels, a warrior angel created by the Elder Gods to help bring peace into the realms, or at least attempt to. She had observed the kombatants for years silently, watching the different fighting styles, learning their different powers and moves, watching their interactions with each other, learning the relationships from afar, and making sure all were at least somewhat comfortable and safe. She kept mind tabs on everyone she saw and learned about while watching over, and didn't actually get to go down until Raiden first reset the timeline in MK9. She tried to at least help out with the battles but lost and got summoned back by the Elder God's to make sure she didn't die.
She does what she can to aid the heroes of Earthrealm, or whoever makes peace with her, but will fail at times. It does get frustrating at times when there are certain situations with easy solutions, but she has to hope the others will find those solutions eventually. She's helped most of the Earth realm warriors so far, and still aims to help out more as the tournaments go on. She understands she isn't perfect by any means, and she also understands that some people may not really be trustworthy of her since she's the only angel there and most holy creations so far have been a bad thing for everyone, but she still tries her best to prove she's a good guy by whatever she can offer.
In MKX, she aids in the battle against Shinnok, and helps free those who were wrongfully imprisoned in Outworld. She at least wants everyone to have a chance to fight for themselves so she does her best to watch over the souls that she knows have good intentions within their actions. During the whole fiasco though, she senses Aofie and her personal pain with Shinnok, knowing of the trauma she went through as a little girl when she brutally lost her parents and old army / people. She is the reason that Aofie mustered up the confidence and bravery to try and fight and /or kill Shinnok herself with Erron by her side.
In MK11, She plays more of a major role with the main cast. After the timeline merge with all the old fighters coming back or just meeting their older / younger selves, she finds Raiden to assess the current situation, figures out who's the main bad guy in charge / responsible for the time merge, and sides with the heroes of the journey, aiding them in their army to defeat Kronkia and her allies at the end of the game. She gets left behind and starts slowly reversing with everyone else though while Liu fights Kronika by himself.
In MK11 Aftermath, which I really didn't know how to properly write her into, she is tasked to follow the main three go on their journey back in time to retrieve the crown, and to watch over them to make sure nothing bad happens to them, but ultimately she gets kidnapped by Sindel while trying to learn details of her betrayal, and ends up ultimately being killed by Shao Kahn in the process by getting her ribs hammered in her chest. She had believed she failed her mission while she was taking her last few breaths.
Aofie: I made her back in 2019, and wanted her to be Irish. I couldn't think of a name, and didn't want to just use my irl name, so I looked it up and found "Aofie". The original spelling of the name was "Aoife", but I misspelled it by accident one day, and it just kinda stuck with her
McLaughlin is from my mom's side of the family, and her middle name came from a nickname someone used to call my mom. "Irish Rose". I don't remember who it was but I just remember it bwee
Corbin: I was thinking of vampire names, and I already had a character named Violet, so I looked up some vampire names, and I passed the name Corbin, but eventually came back to it because I felt it fit them well :]
Aofie: She likes to eat anything from traditional Irish meals / snacks, to American meals and snacks, and sweets. She likes pies, but don't let her near any apple pies, she's allergic to apples </3
Corbin: He likes to eat pomegranates, anything with potatoes, or anything people usually consider to be bitter.
Aofie: Aofie likes to help around her kingdom / mini town in Ireland (like aiding with the markets, sheep, and whatever else she can find to do) when she has the freetime. She also likes to do art, and she's learning music and ballet by herself.
When she's with Erron, they usually just cuddle and watch old movies together. Or they play horse shoes, or just go on walks around Ireland together.
Corbin: Corbin usually tends to his pet Raven, Edgar, when he has time. That includes either feeding him, grooming his feathers and fur, or teaching him how to attack enemies in battle. Corbin also has been learning to become a bat, so far it's been unsuccessful but he's still trying.
When he's with Skarlet, they go on walks at night, drink blood wherever they can find it, or just enjoy each other's company by cuddling or sharing a warm bath. Corbin sleeps upside down and Skarlet likes to watch him for about 30 minutes before falling asleep in Corbin's bed.

Yesterday, me and my family were hit with the worst news possible: risk of being homeless.
We have no money to go anywhere and I'm honestly terrified of what might come in the future. My mom is currently doing what she can to help our situation.
And we will be forced to move if we cannot find a solution quickly. (Our deadline is May 19th)
I considered opening emergency commissions for food money since my eldest brother (who usually does the shopping) has refused to go after being told this information. We have no bread for sandwiches, no milk, no meats, nothing. Just a few oranges and chips.
As for the emergency comms thing, I genuinely do not have my drawing energy due to stress and fear. And I deeply apologize. The doodle in the first image isn't me lying, it's genuinely all I could muster up.
