Random Facts
205 competitors in senior ladies (numbers start at 101, not 1). Largest solo entries in the entire event.
Rumour has it there is a 45 year old in senior ladies this year. That means the age group currently spans a gap of almost 25 years. Even taking out that unconfirmed detail, there are several competitors definitely in their early 30’s, which gives a 10 year age span.
Next biggest age group is U13 with 191 and U15 with 190.
There is a jump to over DOUBLE the conpetitors from U21 (90 entries) to Senior Ladies. U21 has the smallest entries of any age group, so dancers are jumping from the smallest to the largest group in a year.
Only 24.3% of the entries will recall in Senior Ladies. Around 26% in U13 and U15 girls.
Compared to a 50% recall in all boys age groups and 44.4% in U21 ladies, 44.5% in U20 and 43.6% in U19.
Bottom line: CLRG needs to revisit and assess the splitting of senior ladies; qualification criteria to possibly limit numbers; and their recall and scoring systems to allow for fairer recall %’s.
