Conversation between myself and Obsessive, Micromanaging Charge Nurse:
Her, with a distressed look on her face: “What rhythm has your patient in 35 been in?”
Me: “Sinus, sometimes tachy…..oh crap why, did she go into AFib?”
Her: “Well, I don’t know…this strip is just…..”
Me, looking at EKG strip: “Yup, she has lots of PACs and PVCs, with sinus arrhythmia underlying.”
Her: *blank stare* “This can’t be sinus. It’s too irregular.”
Me: *blank stare* “ Well yeah….it’s sinus because there’s p waves with every beat except the ectopy…its just irregular. This is how she’s been. BPs been stable.”
Her: *blank stare* This isn’t right. You need to make the NP aware immediately.“
Me:
Me, to NP, who is aware of and constantly annoyed by Obsessive Micromanaging Charge Nurses’s obsessive micromanaging:
“She wanted me to show you this.”
NP: *blank stare*
Me: “Because it’s not regular….”
NP: “It’s just sinus arrhythmia. It’s fine.”
Me: *sigh*
Me, to Obsessive Micromanaging Charge Nurse: “NP says it’s fine.”
Her: Well…..you’re going to have to document that strip. I’m not comfortable with it. I’m not putting MY name on it.”
Me:
Next day. Obsessive Micromanaging Charge Nurse is assigned the patient in question and asks another senior nurse his thoughts on the EKG strip.
“I don’t understand what you’re confused about. It’s just sinus arrhythmia.”
Me, outside:

GUYS. Can we celebrate the fact a plus sized model is on the COVER of a running magazine?!?! Without any mention of “how to get healthy” or losing weight?! If anything, they mention that weight doesn’t matter. She looks strong and fabulous. Runners come in all shapes and sizes and it’s so awesome that Women’s Running is embracing that. I am so inspired by this.
Been having a rough time since yesterday afternoon when my mom started in on me about my sister. Ate a bunch of bad shit, gave no fucks. Started to feel the guilts. But just had to shrug it off. Drink some water. (When is the last time I drank water? Probably weeks.) And so now we're back on track. Ch-ch-ch-chugging along.
Log 7.14.15 I was ON POINT all week. Until tonight. At least it was the last day of the week. Ordered a Beach Club Unwich from #jimmyjohns. Got home to find it on French bread. Had to really twist my arm to eat it. ;) But that bread is #10pp !!! Before that when I got home from work I had two Carnation Instant Breakfasts...#12pp!!! Th one time I don't track before eating. And I was soooooo exhausted. Don't know why. I had a cup and a half of ice cream. It is what it is. I ended up going to bed for 10 hours and still waking up exhausted. Wednesday begins a new week. I had suchhhh a good week until tonight. Sigh. Log 7.12.15 Pasta salads and a Drumstick ice cream cone did me in. I was mindful of my portions though and hopefully overestimated the points, rather than underestimated.

I need to work on taking pics of my food, because I have been eating AMAZING meals.
I was so satisfied yesterday that I didn’t even eat all of my points. It’s not something I’ll make a habit of, but the baby is finally sleeping longer stretches...SO I GOT TO SLEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!! And that means less awake hours to eat.

Log 7.8.15 9 points over today. It was my mom's birthday. So I stopped at the bakery on the way home and got a 5" round cake. And I had her favorite ice cream, so we had a birthday treat. That's the whole point of weekly points! Making it work for my life so it sticks. A great day :)
7.7.15 Two points over because I had to make some on-hand substitutions. Turns out there's a significant point difference between white and whole wheat pasta and regular and fat-free vinaigrette! The pasta is my fault but the store legit did not have fat free vinaigrette. Oh wells. That's how the cookie crumbles. Glad my plan is flexible! Great day. Did not get activity in because we went to BOOK OUR WEDDING VENUE TONIGHT!!! Total win.
7.6.15 Today was a good day. Stayed within my points! Got all my healthy checks. Even got points for my 20 minute body weight routine.
