But almost every fucker who cries about America being some kind of nationalist hellscape ends up either being a europoor that practically cums in their pants at the idea of being ruled by the EU or “socialist democrats” who want more government oversight of their lives. Gosh what a dystopia, it’s so bad that people die trying to get here.

There’s plenty of valid criticism of American government to be sure but the idiots who think we live in a “dystopia” are privileged retards who’ve never had to live outside of their first world echo chambers.

Nice job blocking me Sharon :), but acknowledging that false rape accusations exist is NOT rape apologism. In fact, thinking false rape accusations doesn’t exist leads to rape victims not getting help. 

In India where I live, a whopping 40% of rape reports made every year are false. This is because parents, when they find out their daughters are dating, falsely accuse her boyfriend of rape in order to “save their reputation.” Thanks to our horribly sex-negative culture, it is considered more honourable for a woman to be raped than it is for her to have a consensual relationship with a man. Both of their lives are ruined and the girl can never truly trust her parents again. 

False rape accusations are also used often in racism and casteism. There are many, MANY cases of upper caste and/or rich women falsely accusing lower caste/working class men of rape and straight up admitting that they see all working class men as sexual predators by virtue of them being working class. Growing up I was told all sorts of horror stories about working class men, that they “think any female who isn’t married is a whore.” That “THOSE PEOPLE, will never respect women.” As a child I just believed it because I didn’t know any better. Now I’m horrified that I was taught such classist things and accepted it because it was directed at men. 

Hell, look at the U.S with Emmett Till, with the history of white women accusing black men of rape to get them lynched . Even as recent as two years ago a white woman accused an 8 year old black boy of rape because he was in a store in an upper class area. 

It’s even been used in ableism - with neurotypical women falsely accusing neurodivergent men of rape just because they “look creepy.” And transphobia with screeching Karens accusing trans women of rape because “those men in dresses shouldn’t be in women’s bathrooms.” I used to attend a dance class where one of the teachers was a trans woman and some parents pulled their children out because “we don’t want those people around our daughters, it’s not safe.” 

If we tell ourselves that false rapes don’t exist and we should “always believe the woman”, we open up the possibility of ACTUAL rape victims not being believed because of the idea that they might actually be perpetuating racism, classism, ableism, or homophobia/transphobia. We also allow these horrible bigotries to be perpetuated and for the perpetrators to get away with it because they’re women. 

As someone who has actually been raped and constantly told that my rape wasn’t real because the person who did it didn’t have a penis (by feminists at that!), stop excusing false rape accusations or pretending they don’t exist.
