Lydia sighed and shook her head for a moment. Cats. “Fine! You do that. And really, I had no idea.” She felt sorry for the feline. You could tell he had a hard life and only after he was adopted did it become joyful. “Would you like a treat?”

While Howard may not have had lips to smile like a human would, Aristel could sense he was pleased. The advantages of being an empath, she was never in doubt when it came to an animal’s mood. What he said, however, actually made her giggle softly. “You do realize that humans wear clothes for the express purpose of not being too cold?” However, she wouldn’t argue the health reason for sleeping on him– Mog did the same thing, and he got particularly fussy with her whenever she was coming down with a cold… often before she even knew she had it.

{ 🐾 }– Howard tilted his head. [Well, even so, he doesn’t wear all that many clothes when he’s in bed. I have to take extra measures to make sure he’s safe and happy. I give him extra nuzzles and I purr very loud for him.] He didn’t leave his spot, but his tail began to swish from side to side. [He gets stressed a lot. I’m there for him if he ever needs me.]

“Nice to meet ya, too, Howard!” The excitement on Peter’s face couldn’t be hidden. He knelt in front of Howard, waiting to be approached by him. He had never interacted with a cat up-close but knew he could get completely ignored.

“Ingenious.” The word seemed to hardly do it justice– not just on behalf of Mr. Stark for making such devices, but having a cat intelligent enough to work with all of it. Then again, one could make the argument that by being exposed to greater complexities, Howard was given the opportunity to become smarter than most felines via the correct stimulus. Following after, she spared a look around to the space they’d entered, and the empty desk he’d jumped up on. “Are you Mr. Stark’s only pet?” She asked as she approached, once again reaching to stroke him from the top of his head and down his back.

{ 🐾 }– The feline accepted the pets, purring sweetly. [I think so,] the collar rang. [But he may have had others before me, and he may have others after me.] He smiled. For a cat at least. [I’m happy to have him around no matter what. I also do my best to take care of him.] He squinted. [Since he doesn’t have a pelt like me, I have to sleep on him to make sure he doesn’t freeze to death. I also sit on his belly to make sure he’s breathing right.]
