My friend ( @irreverentdisease ) and I have this au where Chiaki is still alive and is the traitor because she works for the future foundation and was planted into the simulation as the only non-remnant of the group to help them

So in this au Chiaki's death was faked by Junko after her original execution (decided better despair would come from keeping her alive after almost killing her), then the future foundation saves her, heals her, and recruits her (ps wheelchair chiaki realness bc of all the wounds she suffered in her legs, also spinal chord damage).

And instead of saying that "oh she just didn't wanna tell people she was the traitor in the NWP", in this au Chiaki couldn't tell the group she was the traitor because avatar was programmed so she PHYSICALLY COULDNT say words like "future foundation" and admit to being it. In this au Chiaki is a really shitty liar and cannot keep a secret to save her goddamned life, so Makoto had Miaya program avatar restrictions because otherwise she'd say something like "wow walking again feels weird" or "um it's probably possible because this is a simulation- shit"
