Well, that was just a little rant I had in me, wasn't it?

It's funny, though, that my mom absolutely insisted on me continuing piano, even though I hated practicing, because of how much she regretted giving it up when she was younger and how much she wished she'd continued with it. Well, it's been about twenty years since my last lesson, and not once have I considered starting up again. Not even the tiniest twinge of regret.

I tried imagining what arguments between these two would look like, but I still couldn’t really picture them staying tense with each other for very long.

Uisce would get angry, but she’s usually so quiet and so unaccustomed to expressing anger that I think she’d be absolutely terrible at it 😂 Solas, meanwhile, would of course take what she was saying seriously—but seeing her get so worked up would be unusual enough that he might even find it a little endearing. 🤔

“You’re definitely not sorry.”

“Why do you say that?”

“Because the way you’re looking at me is… warm.”

“The warmth in my gaze does not diminish when I look at you.”

“No! That’s not what I mean! You’re looking at me like you find this endearing, aren’t you?”

“Hardly.”

“Suspicious!”

“Then perhaps you should look at me more closely.”

“Th-that’s not the point!”

“Then what is the point?”

“I’m angry!”

“I know.”

“Then look more troubled.”

“I am sufficiently troubled.”

“You don’t look it.”

“You will not allow me to touch you, nor am I permitted to hold you. How much more troubled would you have me be?”

“…”

“…”

“…That’s not fair.”

“I merely stated the facts.”

Eventually, Uisce relents just enough to let him hold her, and somehow the discussion continues with the two of them wrapped around each other. Anyone who happens to witness them at that point would probably be very confused as to whether they’re still arguing or have already made up.

The Questions:

1. What's your blog title from?

So my blog name is an OC of mine from long ago. I use it because it's basically guaranteed to be available.

The title is an epithet of Sekhmet. When I made my tumblr, I was deep in an ancient Egypt phase, and I never changed it.

2. Latest movie? What did you think?

I really can't remember the last movie I sat down and watched all the way through. I did recently watch some clips from my favorite dumb movie: Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It's painfully stupid with a lot of fun songs.

3. What are you looking forward to right now?

Looking forward to the temperature dropping down to a more bearable level. Thankfully, it should be comfortable for the next week or so. I didn't enjoy feeling like I was being smothered every time I went outside.

4. If you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

I would work more on chapter twelve of my time travel fic. I've been dragging my heels on it for awhile now, and I'm starting to think I should just rewrite the parts I'm stuck on.

5. Drink of choice?

Black tea. Followed by green tea, and then iced tea.

6. Hair routine?

Not much of one. Just keep it in a ponytail or a bun all the time.

7. Favourite way to travel? Is there another you want to try?

I love the train. I should ride it more.

8. Favourite month and why?

September through November. I just love autumn. Love the colors, love the temperatures, love the excuse to eat comfort food. And I don't have to worry about heating up the house when I cook.

9. Favourite time of day and why?

Around ten at night, before I go to bed and I don't have to worry about being interrupted.

10. Do you play or follow any sports?

I use to ski, although I haven't been able to in awhile. Otherwise, no.

11. What kind of music has been stuck in your head lately?

I just got Way Down, Hadestown stuck in my head again. It may be there for awhile.

12. Dishes or laundry?

Laundry

13. Something you learned recently?

I was looking up domesticated animals, and I learned chickens are descended from red junglefowl, which are found in southeast Asia.

14. What would you talk about if you could give a TED talk on anything?

I don't really feel like I'd be very comfortable about anything, to be honest.

15. Piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

Just do it, already

Start lifting weights

I used to play the piano and the flute. And when I quit, after high school, I never felt any desire to go back. Never been terribly musical. I did perform in front of an audience, though. Mostly parents.

Probably type. I can actually think over what I'm saying, and you don't have to try and decipher my messy handwriting.

20. What do you wish someone would ask you?

Why is this the question that trips me up the most?
