One sunny Saturday afternoon in Valencia, a few friends and I stumbled upon a kite festival on the beach. We sat in the sand all afternoon enjoying the ocean breeze and watching the kites dance around the blue sky.

"All Aboard"

While in the jungle we took the liberty to live like the locals and experience their ways of transportation by driving around the Amazon jungle in little boats like the one in the photo.

Yesterday I derped around the city and took pictures of things. First, I visited a used book market that was recommended to me, located under the Waterloo bridge, where I bought a copy of Bill Bryson’s “Made in America.” Then I crossed the (I think it’s the Westminster bridge) and took photos of the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and Westminster Abbey, as well as the London Eye. Finally, I ended my journey in Covent Garden where I watched a street performer juggle machetes while he rode on a 15 ft unicycle.

One of my favorite experiences in Peru was going to the sand dunes near Ica, Peru to go sandboarding. While we were waiting to hit the slopes these ladies took the liberty to have some fun and have a race running up the dunes.

I’ve spent enough time in Spain to say I’ve learned a thing or two about Spaniards. Obviously, I know Spain is full of all sorts of people (like anywhere else in the world) and this list isn’t meant to be taken seriously in its generalizations.

A Spanish mother will never let you go hungry. She’ll also serve you generous portions at all meals. Generous is an understatement actually.
