1. weakness (miraculous ladybug)
THIS FIC SHOWCASES EVERYTHING I LOVE??? scheming and fight scenes and romance and identity shenanigans and angst and a rotting mansion in paris!!! totally au thanks to s2 now, but i poured my heart and soul into this fic and i love love love it!!!! :D (also i commissioned cover art from one of my fave artists for it, which tells you how much i love it)
2. to win the hand of pasithea (miraculous ladybug)
also another fic catered to my exact and specific tastes, which is really the only way fic should be written. LOTS OF KISSES AND ALMOST KISSES AND DREAM SHENANIGANS and itâs just. great. gr8. gr10, even lol.
3. sins cannot be undone + tell the survivors (the help is on the way remix) (miraculous ladybug)
ok, cards on the table: my father is a man who honestly never should have had daughters. these fics are essentially me trying to put into words my experience as a survivor of abuse and a witness to abuse, respectively, by using the ml canon as my canvas. they helped me immensely when i wrote them, and i re-read them from time to time to validate my own feelings. i also just really like how they turned out.
4. a superheroâs holiday (miraculous ladybug)
this got jossed fairly quickly, but itâs literally all my ladrien dreams come true!!! and sent me down the path of shipping hell lol. who doesnât love a beach ep with all the half naked shenanigans it implies????
5. parental guidance (inside out)
surprisingly not (????) an ml fic, this post-canon fic was part gap filler and part dealing with the fact that my little cousin who i helped raise is growing?? up???? and just doesnât remember the times we spent when he was very little. i also really liked the format of slipping in the emotionsâ dialogue before rileyâs reactions, which is easy to do visually but not so much in words XD
what up!!!! instead of doing anything i was supposed to, i dug out an old fic and expanded on it and will probably continue to expand on it with erratic updates. thanks so much to crispy and hallie for giving this chapter a lookover :D
(and anyone looking for that sweet, sweet ot3 content should know that this fic will be as gen as the canon allows. for a lot of reasons, but mostly i just want to write some epic gen)

chapter one: a priori probability
In which the second Ladybug does not disappear at the end of Timebreaker and a logical sequence of events ensue.

---
A universe is governed by its laws. For this particular universe, two are relevant for the following events.
One:
Time cannot be accurately described as a material substance. It is not water flowing in a river, swift and sure in one direction. It is not the flap of a butterflyâs wings, cascading into a tornado of change.
Simply put, time is math. Something exists, then something happens. All the elements of the past make up all the elements of the present.
(1 + 1 = 2)
Travelling forward is as easy as existing one second after the other.
Travelling backward is easy too, once enough energy and the right equipment are acquired. You shuffle yourself to the other side of the equation, make yourself part of the past instead of the present. You change the terms of the equation, transforming your past into the present and your present into the future.
(1 + 1 + 1 â 2)
The future is nothing but possibility. With a new variable in the present, the future you travelled from is now an impossibility.
(1 + 1 + 1 = 3)
The old equation, your past, no longer exists. The old solution, your present, no longer exists.
But you do.
Two:
The Kwami of Creation shall only utilize powers within her domain. She may create. She may restore.
She shall not destroy.
---
When Ladybug tossed up her Lucky Charm, scooped up Alixâs watch, and fist bumped her past self for a job well done, she hadnât given any thought to what would happen when Tikkiâs magic ladybugs swarmed over them both.
She was surprised to learn the answer was ânothing at allâ.
Ladybug blinked and dropped her hand, staring with her past self as the ladybugs swarmed around the two Timebreakers and leftâŠtwo Alixes.
Um.
âIs thisâ?â the other Ladybug began to say, only to be interrupted by the Alixesâ surprised yelps.
âWhat the heck?!â they yelled before freezing at their echoing words. âStop that! No, you! Arrrrghhh!â
âOk, letâs calm down,â said Ladybug, holding her hands out to placate the Alixes. She glanced back to see her past self picking up Alixâs (Alixesâ) pocket watch. Ladybugâs head was spinningâher powers had never failed before. Was something wrong with her Miraculous? Or Tikki? Did travelling through time mess with something? âWeâllâŠweâll figure this outâŠuh.â
The other Ladybug held out the watch to one Alix, then the other, then glanced back at Ladybug, unsure which one the watch belonged to.
It was a relief when Chat Noir leaped over, devil-may-care grin on his face.
It was relief to see him still leaping at all, she thought before dismissing it. Even with this hiccup, things were fine now. They had to be.
âGot some double trouble, my ladies?â asked Chat.
Despite his light tone, his body was tense and his eyes watchful. He knew just as well as she did how unprecedented this situation was.
It didnât help that both her and her past selfâs earrings beeped at the same time.
âUnfortunately. Looks like weâll have to put this on pause for now,â said Ladybug.
Chatâs ring started beeping too. Just what they needed.
âBut weâll be back soon,â the other Ladybug continued, passing the pocket watch to the closest Alix.
âHey! Why are you giving it to her?â the other Alix demanded.
âWe donât have time to get into it right now, but the akuma you turned into had time travelling powers,â explained the other Ladybug. âYouâre both Alix, so it doesnât matter which of you we give it to, since itâs both your responsibility. Right?â
The other Alix frowned, but backed down with a sigh. The Alix with the watch held it tight to her chest.
âOf course,â said the Alixes.
Smiling with relief, Ladybug turned back to Chat Noir. âMeet you back here, kitty?â
âItâs a date,â he said with a wink.
The three of them shot off, Chat running in one direction while Ladybug and her past self headed home.
---
They didnât make it in time, forcing Ladybug to drop down and hide in a quiet alley. The other Ladybug quickly followed, and they both closed their eyes as their transformations fell away.
It was still strange to see her mirror image standing in front of her. But it was even stranger to see two Tikkis fly out of their Miraculous and then melt into each other, leaving just one Tikki lying on the ground.
âTikki!?â
Marinette and her past self both reached for their kwami at the same time, bumping their heads in the process. They settled on huddling together in a recess, Tikki resting on the other Marinetteâs lap while Marinette gently fed their kwami a cookie from her bag.
âSorry,â Tikki said quietly. âGetting that much power at onceâŠI hope I didnât scare you.â
âA little,â Marinette admitted, sharing a worried look with her past self.
âAre you feeling better?â the other Marinette asked.
Tikki gingerly sat up and then floated to their eye level, stretching with her tiny, nubby limbs. She finished with a twirl in the air.
âMuch!â she said with a grin.
Marinette let out a relieved sigh and tried not to start when her past self did the same.
âThank goodness. ButâŠTikki, did Miraculous Ladybug not work because you were sick?â Marinette asked.
Tikki stilled, her silent gaze shifting to the other Marinette, then landing heavily on Marinette herself.
Her kwami was sad, Marinette realized with a twist in her gut. But her eyes were still so kind.
âThereâs nothing wrong with Miraculous Ladybug,â said Tikki.
âWhat do you mean? Thereâs still two of us! And two of Alix! Of course thereâs something wrong,â the other Marinette said, unintentionally voicing Marinetteâs thoughts.
None of this made any sense at all.
âMarinette, I need you to listen to what Iâm saying right now,â Tikki said calmly. âBoth of you. This is important for you two to know, for now and in case it ever happens again. Miraculous Ladybug worked exactly as it was supposed to.â
âYou canât be serious,â Marinette said.
Tikki floated closer, her voice soft as she continued.
âHumans can use my Miraculous to create and restore as needed. But my power canât restore something if it means completely destroying something else.â She finally lowered her eyes. âOnly one timeline can exist in this universe. I canât restore the old one because I would be destroying this one. Thereâs nowhere for the two of you except here.â
The two of youâŠmeaning Marinette and one of the Alixes.
âWe only went back a few minutes,â Marinette murmured, shock sending a chill through her body.
âTime travel, no matter how far you go back, is impossible without destroying the original timeline,â was Tikkiâs reply.
âSoâŠwait, thereâs going to be two of us? Forever? And two of Alix?â the other Marinette asked, confused. âCanât you justâŠsmash us together like you did with, well, you?â
âKwamis are different from humans. Doing that with two humans means one of them will be destroyed, and you both exist separately now. Itâs outside my power.â
âOh,â said Marinette.
They really were stuck like this. And so were the Alixes.
âWow,â said the other Marinetteâand if this really was permanent, they were going to have to figure out names. âUh, thereâs enough space for two people in myâour room. Mama and Papa will be surprised that thereâs two of us now, but Iâm sure theyâll be happy.â
Tikki still looked sad and worried, antenna drooping, and the realization hit Marinette like a cold front.
âNo,â said Marinette numbly. âThere are two Ladybugs.â
âLe Papillon knows there are two of you now,â Tikki explained, not quite looking either of them in the eye. âThe Alixes should be relatively safe with their family. But if anyone found out there are two MarinettesâŠâ
âTheyâd realize Iâmâweâre Ladybug!â gasped the other Marinette.
Marinette (the first, the worst) fisted her hands at her side, staring at the ground.
Sheâd almost lost Chat, and now, instead, she was going to loseâ
âUntil Hawk Moth is gone, to keep our identity secretâŠI canât go home,â Marinette concluded, looking up. âCan I?â
Tikki hesitated before nodding, and Marinette felt tears well up in her eyes.
It wasnât fair. It wasnât fair.
An arm looped around her shoulders, pulling her close, and Marinette looked up at her past self, startled.
âThatâs not fair!â said the other Marinette, frowning at Tikki. âWhy canât it be me? Why does it have to be her?â
Marinette had the sudden, wild thought that this may be what her friends felt like whenever she stuck up for them.
âWe canât give Le Papillon any clues, so there canât be any mismatch in your memories of today,â Tikki explained. She pointed at the other Marinette. âYouâre the Marinette of this timeline.â She pointed at Marinette. âAnd youâre the Marinette of the previous timeline. We canât risk it.â She put down her arm. âAnd I canât apologize enough for this.â
Tikki really did seem sorry. Marinette swallowed down the lump in her throat and croaked, âWhereâŠwhere can I stay? If I canât go homeâŠâ
Her past self squeezed Marinetteâs shoulder in wordless support.
âThereâs a safe place I can take you, but only you,â said Tikki. âItâs a secret thatâs as important as your identities.â
Marinette and her past self shared the same anxious look, and it wasâŠreassuring that someone else understood the way she was feeling. Even if that someone else was her.
Sniffing, Marinette wiped her eyes and stood up, her past self a breath behind.
âOkay, Tikki,â she said, trying to keep her voice from shaking. âLetâs go.â
âWe still need to explain things to Alix. Alixes.â The other Marinette groaned. âThis is going to be tricky if only one of us can be LadybugâŠâ
âOh, thatâs not a problem!â said Tikki.
HerâTheir kwami closed her eyes and glowed pink before budding another Tikki out of her body.
âNow that I have two bodies and two MiraculousâŠâ began the first Tikki.
âYou can both be Ladybug at the same time,â finished the second Tikki.
Right. Kwami. Not human.
âIâll go talk to the Alixes and Chat Noir, then,â said the other Marinette. âTikki, transform me!â
Just like Tikki said, only one of her bodies flew into the other Marinetteâs Miraculous, and it was really weird to see the transformation process from outside. Pretty, but very weird.
âTikki needs to tell me where to go, soâŠI guess weâll head there by foot,â said Marinette. She tried to smile, but it feltâŠimpossible. âSee you later?â
Ladybug looked back, lips drawn thin, before she reached forward and pulled Marinette into a hug.
âSee you soon,â she said, patting her back. Then Ladybug pulled back to throw her yoyo and swing away, quickly disappearing into the skyline.
Marinette watched her go and hugged herself, trying to keep that warmth for a little longer.
It might be the last hug sheâd get for a long, long time.
---
With Tikki hiding in her hair and whispering directions into her ear, Marinette found herself only a few districts from her home (her school, her friends, her family, her lifeâ)
âThe third building on the left,â said Tikki.
Her soft voice broke Marinette out of another cycle of panic and anxiety. Chewing on her lip, Marinette turned in the direction of an unassuming brick building, retrofitted with a grocery store on the ground floor. There was a private wellness studio on the second floor, with residential apartments on the third and fourth floors.
It looked like nothing she would imagine a safe house for a superhero to be. And maybe that was the point.
Doing a quick scan of the crowd, Marinette headed towards the grocery store until Tikki hissed, âSecond floor!â
Right. She lurched towards the stairwell instead, climbing them two at a time in order to escape the stares aimed her way.
When she reached the door to the studio, she narrowed her eyes suspiciously.
âSifu Wellness Studioâ had to be a pun. Somehow.
âJust knock on the door, Marinette,â whispered Tikki.
Aaaaand she was focusing on the sign because she definitely wasnât scared (and upset and terrifiedâ)
Marinette slapped her cheeks, squared her shoulders, and knocked on the door.
There was a slow shuffle of footsteps before the door swung open, revealing an old man with a bright Hawaiian shirt, a cane, and a rueful smile.
âHello, Marinette,â he said gently. âPlease, come in.â
Prompt: Texts (+all the emojis) Adrien would send as himself if only he had LB's number
It figured that when Adrien finally snuck away from his lessons to go watch the new Star WarsfilmâŠhis subway train stalled in the tunnels.
With him inside.
âJust my luck,â he muttered over the operatorâs announcement.
He switched on his phone, but no signal could reach through theyawning darkness of the underground; there were other people in the car, so nochatting with Plagg.
He spent a few minutes trying to find a game that didnâtneed an internet connection, then a few more organizing his photo gallery andnotes.
Then that was done. There was nothing left to do but wait.
My baton doesnât havea connection problem, he thought sourly.
He idly skimmed through his contacts, quietly proud at howmany more there were compared to last year. But that was another reason why hisbaton was better: his phone didnât have Ladybugâs number nestled between Kimâsand Marinetteâs.
How would she respond if he could text her right now? Not onhis baton as Chat Noir, but on his phone as Adrien Agreste?
Maybe could send her:
âHi, Ladybug! Hopeyouâre doing well today đ Iâm stuck on the subway, unfortunately.â
And maybe sheâd respond with worry and offers to come inafter him.
Or maybe he could be less formal, send her something like:
âwhatâs your favouritecolour? mine is blue like your eyes đâ„â
âI canât send her that,â he said under hisbreath, flushing as his seatmate glanced his way.
Even in his imagination, he couldnât talkto Ladybug easily when he was Adrien.
Chat Noir was her partner. They foughttogether, had a history, were friends.Adrien Agreste was justâŠsome guy she saved once in a while.
Texting a late night âI love youâ would seem out of the blue.
bonus prompt: I'm only brave enough to say how I feel when I think you can't hear it. (Thunderstorm? Fireworks? Rock concert? Roller coaster? Drowned out by the sound of Adrien's shower? etc, your pick.)
Thunder crashed, the Seine overflowed, and Ladybug couldnâtsee Adrien in the river. She swam up to the surface, took a gaspingbreath, and dove back in.
The current was fast and rough, the river water cloudy fromdirt and debris from the akuma-induced storm, and it was so much harder than itshould be to findâ
Adrien, her Adrien, floating and tangled in impracticalhaute couture and not moving.
Ladybug swam faster, hooking her arm around his waist so shecould tug him up into howling winds and choppy waves. Pointing his face to thesky, she quickly threw out her yoyo and snagged a bridge railing.
A hard yank sent them both flying out of the river, Adriencold and limp in Ladybugâs arm, and it canâtâthis canâtâthis couldnât be happening.
Her feet hit the pavement hard, then her knees as she carefullylaid him out on the ground. The streets were deserted; everyone was takingshelter from the storm, and Chat Noir was nowhere in sight. It was just her andAdrien and not a single breath between them.
âPlease,â she said, pressing two fingers to his neck andsobbing when she felt nothing. Overlapping her hands on his chest, she leanedover and started doing chest compressions. âPlease donât do this, Adrien. Wakeup. Wake up.â
Thirty compressions; no change. Tilting his head andpinching his nose with a shaking hand, Ladybug gave him a breath, two, beforecompressing his chest again.
âYou canât die yet, we have a physics test tomorrow,â shepleaded. âYou promised to help us study. You canât let us down.â Two breaths, back to compressions. âNino and Alya and your dad. You canât leave them. Wakeup!â The cycles were blurring together, and so was her sight. âIâm not lettingyou go, Adrien. I havenât even told you how much IâŠI love you. So you canâtdie. You canât, pleaseââ
A gurgle, and suddenly Adrien was rolling over and coughingout a lungful of water. He was shivering and dazed, his wet hair and clothessticking to his skin, but he was alive.
âCan you breathe?â she asked, one hand on his back to feelhis shuddering inhale. Ladybug tried not to collapse in relief when he nodded.
Adrien turned his head to look at her with tired eyes, taking her other hand between his and squeezing.
âThanks,â he rasped, his smile as weak as his grip.
Ladybug sniffed, wiping the tears from her eyes before givingin and wrapping him in her arms.
âLetâs get you out of the rain,â she said, lifting him tocover up the motion of her hug.
But it didnât matter. Adrien hugged her back as Ladybug ran forthe nearest building, his face buried in her shoulder and muffling his words.
I heard you were accepting prompts so here I go: Ladrien pre-reveal photo shoot?
âI should go talk to her, right?â Adrien asked. He half-expected the Gorillaâs non-committal grunt.
Since heâd spotted her on their way home and asked the Gorilla to pull over, Adrien watched Ladybug twist and contort herself on the top of a lamppost. After a quarter of an hour, she finally settled upside down, knees hooked over the metal arms and her back steadied against the centre tube. Her yoyo was open in her hand and angled towards to horizon.
It was the middle of the night, in a deserted park. What was his lady up to?
âIâll be back,â Adrien decided, quickly exiting the limo before the Gorilla could think to stop him.
Curiosity killed the cat, they always said. Sure enough, Adrien was dead from the moment he jogged up to Ladybug and noticed her nose wrinkled in concentration and the tip of her tongue peeking out of the corner of her mouth.
He put a hand over his heart, trying to keep it from melting through his chest, and didnât notice Ladybug noticing him until she fell from the lamp.
âIâm okay!â she said, picking herself up as her eyes darted between Adrien and her yoyo. Then she muttered something he couldnât quite catch, but she definitely said the word âcuteâ.
âWhat was that?â he asked.
It was a soul-shattering revelation to learn that a flustered, blushing Ladybug was a dangerously adorable Ladybug.
âIâum, I was taking pictures for fun. I mean as a fun! Fun hobby.â She closed her eyes, sighing through her nose, and then tilted her yoyo towards him. âSorry, youâyouâreâŠvery photogenic. Which makes sense.â
Adrien stared at the photo Ladybug took: himself, frozen in lovestruck awe.
âSend me a copy?â he asked.
Ladybugâs startled glance made him smile even through his blush.
Swinging through Adrienâs open window, Ladybug landed andfiddled with the box of pocky in her hand.
November 11 was Armistice Day, and she was immensely gladthat Hawk Moth hadnât broken the sombre mood with an akuma.
But now the remembrance ceremonies were over, the sun wasset, and Ladybug looked forward to indulging her boyfriendâs sillier tendencieswith a round of the Pocky Game.
âAdriennn,â she called softly, not wanting to wake him up ifhe was asleepâŠor alert anyone else to her nightly visits.
His bed was still perfectly made up. Looking around, Ladybugheaded towards the strip of light shining from his washroom door.
Pressing her ear to the wood, she couldnât hear the showerrunning or the telltale splash of bathwater. Just someone humming a song.
She slid the door open quietly, smiling when she caughtsight of a familiar profile leaning over his sinks. âAdrienâ!â
He started, dropping the powder brush he was using andsmearing grey across his white countertops.
When he turned to look at her, half his face covered in thesame shade of grey, thatâs when Ladybug noticed the striped orange horns on hishead, the weird, red symbol on his shirt, and his rapidly pinking cheeks.
âI can explain!â he said, hiding the pot of makeup he had open.
Ladybugâs shock quickly turned to amusement, and she crossedher arms, eyebrow quirked. âGo on.â
He ducked his head, rubbing his nape.
âItâsâŠahhh.â He winced. â11/11 is big deal in Homestuck. Ithought it would be fun to dress up as my favourite troll from Hiveswap andthen post a pic?â
Ladybug tilted her head. ââŠIs this another anime?â
Adrien lurched forward, a manic and delighted gleam in hiseyes.
âLet me tell you,â he said gravely, âabout Homestuck.â
other peopleâs monster aus: letâs add werewolves and vampires into the mix!
my monster au: WHAT IF LB AND CHAT TURNED INTO GIANT ANTHROPOMORPHIZED VERSIONS OF THEIR MIRACULOUS ANIMALS???
â
Being Ladybug was eye-opening and terrifying. Colour bledaway from her vision, leaving her to depend on her antenna to experience theworld around her. She grew to almost twice her usual height, a speedypowerhouse of magic and adrenaline. Her chitinous skin and the wings hiddenunderneath her elytra kept her safe from Hawk Mothâs cursed akuma. In order toprotect humanity, Marinette regularly left hers behind.
So it begged the question of why, as Ladybug, she stillcouldnât think around Adrien.
Adrien, soft-skinned and bright-eyed as he circled his arms aroundher pronotum. Adrien, weightless in her arms as they flew over the city andaway from the akuma that was targeting him. Adrien, who didnât let go even whenshe let him down on the roof of Le Grand Paris.
âYouâre tall,â he told her, a little too close and a littletoo breathless. Ladybug was torn, one set of arms still holding him while theother ripped itself away.
âUm, y-yeah?â she said, antenna twitching as Adrien pulledaway completely.
âYou seem shorter whenâwhen youâre standing next to ChatNoir, soâŠâ He rubbed the back of his neck before glancing up with a panicked smile.âN-not that itâs bad or anything! Itâs actuallyâŠpretty cool.â
I loveyou, Ladybug thought as she tried to keep her apparent cool.
âYouâre tall too!â she blurted out and then winced, wings fluttering anxiously behind her. âI-I mean, youâre tool. Cool! Tall andcool. And nice. And, umâŠI-I should probably go fight the akuma now.â
Eyes wide, Adrien nodded shakily, and Ladybug took off.
At least one person didnât seem to mind this form.
â
The next day (and armed with candid rooftop photos),Alya dragged Adrien away from the school locker room to whisper, âYou slickcrawlie lover, you.â
While it was great that Marinette was his fan, Adrien had drastically underestimated the media response to her appearance on Fill My Shoes.
Surrounded by paparazzi, someone shoved a microphone toward his face. âWhatâs your relationship with this girl?!â
âWeâre just friendsââ
âIsnât she the same girl who you were seen with a few weeks ago?! The one in her pyjamas?!â
âIâyes, butââ
âYet youâre still denying a relationship?!â
Adrien gave up and tried to wiggle past the crowded sidewalk. If only heâd snuck out as Chat Noir insteadâ
âGrab tight!â yelled a familiar voice.
Looking up, Adrien caught sight of Ladybug swinging low, arm outstretched. His hand reached for hers, clasping together like they had a thousand times before, and she wrenched him out of the throng.
He felt weightless as she tossed him higher into the air, her free arm circling his waist during her upswing. She steadied him as they landed on a lamppost, Ladybug frowning at the gasping crowds below.
âArenât you all adults? Adrien may be a celebrity, but heâs still a kid! You shouldnât be treating him like this!â
Adrien managed to unstick his mouth long enough to say, âIâmâŠnot a kid.â
Ladybugâs frown deepened even as a fascinating blush painted her cheeks.
âSt-still, youâre younger than them! They should know better!â Turning her attention back to the crowd, she pointed at them. âApologize for bothering Adrien!â
âThe public has a right to know!â a reporter shouted out.
An agreeing murmur rippled through the crowd before Ladybug silenced them with a glare.
âSeriously? Whatâs so important about a teenagerâs private life that you need to harass him about it? And another thingâ!â
As Ladybug lectured the uncomfortable paparazzi, Adrien thanked his lucky stars that his partner always had his back.
Entering the prisonâs interrogation room, Ladybug found it starkly bare, containing only a table and two chairs, one of which was occupied by Gabriel Agreste.
Hawk Moth.
(She still kicked herself for letting her suspicions go the first time.)
Gabriel was handcuffed to the table, unmoving as he watched her sit down. Ladybug crossed her legs and arms, leaning back against the stiff chair.
âIâm sure you know why Iâm here,â she said.
âIâm sure I donât,â he replied. âIâve been a guest of solitary confinement these past few days.â
Ladybugâs eyes narrowed.
âOh? You donât believe me?â Gabriel leaned forward, attentive. âWhat is the big news?â
Lips thinning, Ladybug pulled out her yoyo and flipped it open. A holographic display appeared above it, showing a woman dressed like an insectoid bird.
âA new Miraculous-wielding villain,â Ladybug began. âWe donât know her name, but sheâs using the Peacock and the Butterfly Miraculous to launch attacks all over Paris.â
âTasteless,â said Gabriel, looking bored. âAnd youâre here becauseâŠ?â
âYouâre the only other person who knows how the Butterfly works,â Ladybug admitted reluctantly. âAnd her first target was Adrien.â
Gabrielâs jaw clenched, his gaze turning to a dark corner of the room.
âConvenient,â he said. âWhatâs in it for me?â
Ladybug opened her mouth, stunned, before answering, âUh, youâd be protecting your son? Your last living family?â
Gabriel threaded his fingers together, bitterness sharpening his face.
âHe betrayed me and abandoned his mother for you.â He scoffed. âSpare me.â
Suddenly furious, Ladybug stood up.
âHe gave you up because what you were doing was wrong! How someone so kind and selfless is your son isââ
âI see his feelings are not unrequited,â Gabriel interrupted. âLeave. I have nothing further to say.â
Biting back a frustrated snarl, Ladybug turned and walked out.
