throwback art piece .... i did this portrait a long time ago, when i was in grade 6 i believe - to be fair, my art teacher was supervising me :) and i used the grid method of drawing portraits.
oh dear *sighs* then i gave up on art
only to pick it back up at IB level (T .T) so i was rusty
hence the lack of significant progress in my work

Let Go
By Ashni Dave
The interactive installation “Let Go” was exhibited for my IB Visual Arts Exhibition. The concept behind it was inspired by piniatas, however, instead of filling it with sweets and toys, the vessels would be filled with letters writen by people who attended the exhibition. In the letters, people would write down their thoughts/emotions from events that took place in their past or a message to somebody whom they did not get to express their true thoughts towards due to social/physical/etc restraints. The instalation allong with the letters in it was then burned at 12.00pm on the final day of the exhibition, during a buring ceremony which symbolized letting go and coming to peace with your past.

My first digital illustration.
Honestly its trash, but I guess one day it will show my arts development and progression yes? one of those pieces where the message is more important than the technical skill.
