Why was Solas so vicious with Rook?

For MOST of the game Solas is rather vicious with Rook, and with reason if you take a look at his character:

You can have him warm up to you as you contineau playing the game, or make him stay the same condescending, mocker - with regards in how he racts to Rook. Rook literally did the one thing he hated most; Acted in ignorance and it nearly cost him and the entire world everything. All he sacrificed, all he betrayed and hurt rendered into NOTHING because of Rook interupting what they didnt understand and ignorantly putting themselves into his ritual.

Its why if you zoom in on his face when the Evanuris escaped, you see him cry. Everything he did: made pointless. He's crying cause he just killed Varric, he killed Mythal, he killed Fellassan, he sacrificed a host of spirits, he betrayed and abandonned his only love, and left all the friends he made in INQ behind. Im not suprised Solas was so vicious to Rook.
