Imagine that Asahina was feeling down because she had saw a lot of couples lately and started thinking she would end up alone.Ishimaru,not being able to see her like that,knocks on her door and tells her to dress up because they are going out.When she asked him why he replies that he couldn’t allow a friend be like that and besides how would she study like that,and without realising it he was basically asking her out on a date.He took her around and saw shops,had dinner at a restaurant which ended in a walk in the park.They sat on a bench and talked for hours which made Aoi be her cheerful self again.When he walked with her to her home they said goodnight while the swimmer gave him a kiss on the cheek and a ‘thank you’ and that they should totally do it again while Ishimaru agreed with her and returned home being a flustered mess.

WIP of something I’ve been working on. Sorry about the scan quality being so light! If my tablet isn’t acting up, I’ll try to color it soon. Hands and feet are always a struggle…I’ll probably try to clean that up a little before coloring, too.

I looked it up to make sure, and the whole thirty minutes bit is mostly myth; no worse than minor cramping, and that’s just if you overdo it. Still, Ishimaru seems like the type to buy into the proper waiting time between eating and swimming, and who better to alert to the hazards of disregarding such rules than the doughnut-loving SHSL Swimmer?

okay so let’s say that aoi asks ishimaru for help studying one night, and being the good guy he is, he agrees!!

so she comes over to his little dorm-apartment thing that he shares with chihi and mondo and the two of them are in his room and he helps her with stuff for a while, and after an hour or so she’s like “okay i think?? i can try and work a little on my own!”

and ishi’s like “wonderful, asahina-kun, you do that and i’ll be over here at my desk working on my other studies” so aoi hops on the bed with her textbook and ishi’s at his desk with his stuff

and it’s like nine-thirty at night and ishi turns around and starts to say “asahina-kun, I think it’s about time you returned to your dorm” and 

aoi’s just dead asleep on his bed like we’re talking dead to the world

and ishi?? wants to wake her up because shit it’s improper for a girl to be in a guy’s room like that and she needs to go back to her dorm and all but she’s so peaceful and she’s smiling a little and she’s all cuddled up with one of his pillows no he can’t wake her up and honestly even if he tried he would have failed miserably so why bother

so instead he changes into his pajamas, takes a pillow, and curls up on the floor rather than sleep on the bed with aoi and make an uncomfortable situation

in the middle of the night he wakes up and at some point aoi had woken up, stripped down to her tanktop and panties and cuddled up under his arm on the floor and he just lays there silently panicking for the better part of an hour because he wants!! to move and not be in this awkward situation but at the same time she’s again really comfortable and cute and just

I like the idea of Ishimaru and Aoi actually being really good friends Pre-Despair and Aoi and Sakura trying to make friends with him and Ishimaru at first is really awkward about it because he thinks male and female friendships are difficult and that girls and guys can’t be friends but then he warms up to her and they eventually would start dating if only because Ishimaru is really comfortable with her and Aoi doesn’t want anyone hurting Ishimaru because he’s got serious problems and she feels he’ll scare off anybody that solely treats him as a romantic partner and AAAAAAA SORRY

i can explain

i still maintain the headcanon that

if ishi and aoi did the do

ishimaru’d have stressed himself out about it so much, he’d be utterly exhausted and wouldn’t react to his alarms the next morning, so aoi reaches over, turns them off, snuggles against him for a few more minutes, and then slips away

when ishimaru finally wakes up, it’s three hours later than he would normally, and he’s freaking out like “holy shit i didn’t make breakfast i didn’t go running oh my oh no” and he bolts into the living room

and aoi’s sitting at the table with a bowl of overly sugary cereal that Chihiro insisted on buying and there are plates of eggs and toast and bacon on the counter but when ishimaru goes to inspect them, the toast is burnt, the bacon is black, and the eggs are rubber because, oh yeah, aoi’s abysmal at cooking but insisted on trying anyway

but there’s a bowl of cereal across the table from aoi that’s meant for him and goddamn if the girl doesn’t make a mean bowl of cinnamon toast crunch

so he just smiles and sits down and they just eat in a very comfortable silence and glance up at each other shyly and it’s all very adorable
