I needed a few storage solutions for my workshops so I made some.
Here are two new objects (both take their textures from the BG Independant Inc. Easel and will pick any recolors you have for it).
Single Storage Shelf. One tile. 36 deco slots. 892 polys. Costs 89$. Categorized as Surface > Shelf.
Double Storage Shelf. Two tiles. 84 deco slots. 1012 polys. Costs 149$. Categorized as Surface > Shelf.
Both can be used for businesses but you won't be able to set the price of all objects on it at once with the Set Price tool like you can do with OFB shelves : you have to set the price of all objects one by one (but it also means you can sell the shelves themselves !).
I also made a random recolor of the BG Independant Inc. Easel for testing purpose and I quite like it in the end so I'm also sharing it.
"go to hell" is basic. "i hope your favourite game that literally shaped your teenage years gets sequel after sequel undermining its previous themes and only serves as a cash cow for the company" is smart. it's possible. it's terrifying.
So, I think all of us simmers with modern hardware have sat in front of our screens having the time of our lives to only be greeted with this disgusting thing:
Pure evil, right? How about this?
I think we’ve all sat in front of our screens day and night hunting for fixes, in which some work, some don’t. Some do for three days, some just… prevent the application from starting at all.
Some of us have even gone as far as to buy completely new computers with older operating systems like Windows 7, Windows XP. Some of us have bought new hardware and still, nothing has changed. People are wasting their money, time and sanity to fix this issue when in fact… there is a reliable, quick and definite fix.
Thanks to @episims and their EXTREMELY helpful guide, I managed to fix the flashing and crashing in my game and have managed to exceed my old CC limit of 3GB. But the one thing in their guide that I want to focus on here is this:
This line isn’t here, you have to manually add it in yourself. Navigate to it by hitting CTRL + F and type some of the sentences that appear here.
Now, I’m not entirely sure what it does but it did indeed prevents these errors from occurring. One of the huge issues with TS2 is that cards with huge amounts of VRAM like the NVIDIA RTX 2080 (8GB Video Memory) consistently have issues with the game and the crashing and flashing is bound to be worse.
However, that is not the case now. Crazysim, the one who created the DXVK guide and has helped tremendously in the community to fix the issue, tested this fix on their 2080 and the game ran perfectly - no issues. So, to those with awesome ass hardware and wanna play the game with no issue - HERE YOU GO!
Before bringing this to the attention of others on Discord and Tumblr, I managed to help my small circle of simblr friends with this fix and they all said that their issues are now solved, which is incredible! I myself have gone out of my way spending money on new computers and hardware just for this game to run and now that there is finally a good, definite fix genuinely warms my heart.
The last thing I want to say is don’t use the graphics rules maker after applying that fix as the GRM will revert it and wipe that line out (causing the errors to happen again).
If you made it to the bottom of this guide, wow, I can’t believe you stuck around that long. Good luck with the fix, let me know how you all get on and finally thank you @episims for bringing that one line to our attention! :D
Just thought I’d upload this in case anyone wanted their sims to be able to browse “Simblr” :D I made this about a year ago!
It’s a texture replacement for the “Browse web for…” screen that came with Freetime (I think) when you browse for hobbies, so if you have one already, you have to take it out.
ACR is going to be the death of me this rotation. Don managed to knock up both Caliente sisters at the same time, and Dina ended up having TWINS.
Two babies and a toddler in one tiny house is not for the faint of heart. I'm pretty sure Nina and Dina haven't been out of red mood for DAYS. Poor Dina keeps having aspiration failure and Nina has passed out on the floor after changing nappies more times than I can count.
Look how cute little Florence is on her toddler sized sofa though! Bonus shot of the adorable stealing baby bottle animation that I never get to see as I never seem to have multiples.
I'm kind of sad the alien genetics didn't come through this time for either sister but it just means I've got an excuse to keep trying!
Basically taking a break from requests to finally post some things that have lived in my WIP folder for way too long (and also posting some items requested by @poeticallydifferent but uhh)
Dreamy wall rack | §260 | Surfaces/Shelves
Nook Inc. poster | §40 | Deco/Wall Hangings (also includes Paradise Planning poster)
@rascalcurious and Anon requested some items from the Nordic series so I just converted the whole set even though I said I wouldn't do that oops. You also get herringbone flooring (light, dark) because I thought it went well with the set.
Because of the way these items are set up, they could only be partially slaved, and even then, only the fabric subset. The chair is the ultimate master item, and the sofa is slaved to the chair. The low table is repositoried to the chair, and the lowboard, shelves and table are slaved to the low table. Makes perfect sense, right? Yeah... The lamp, uh, does its own thing.
Anyway! I really like this set! Thanks for requesting it!
Another request for @sgthebee! Azumaya gazebo and Gazebo from Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Be warned that these are some large objects. They're both around 10k polys each, with the LOD90 version being around 6,3k for the Japanese gazebo and 7,8k for the Western one (though ideally I'll revisit this). Additionally, they have a 3x3 footprint and therefore 10 OBJDs.
Anyway! I had fun making these and learned a lot of new things, so thank you for the request!
hello everyone, on the twentieth day of this advent collab I am bringing you the most boring preview picture you will see this December! eleven new custom face sliders!
Here, you will find the following sliders, available in both bodyshop and CAS:
cheekbone width
cheekbone length
jawline squareness
upper lip area width
nose fold rotation (V1 and V2)
nose vertical length
nose tip length
nose bridge shape (V1 and V2)
broken nose
GET 'EM HERE!
Massive thank you to @angelapleasant for getting this whole event together (you've done a fantastic job!) and to all the other creators who have both been and who's days are yet to come :D
preview pictures explaining as to which slider does what under the cut
Slider #1: cheekbone width
Self explanatory really, makes the cheekbones wider (but not deeper, nor taller). A bit like that one maxis slider but without any brow adjustment
Slider #2: cheekbone height
Makes the cheekbones longer or shorter on the y axis
Slider #3: jawline squareness
Affects the back of the jaw, changes the width without changing the chin or cheek width (unlike the maxis equivalents)
Slider #4: Upper lip width
The name's a bit confusing, it doesn't affect the upper lip but the area immediately above the upper lip, below the nose (I did look to see if it had an official name but that search sadly didn't turn up much). It's a little hard to see in the screenshot, but it makes this area wider or narrower.
Slider #5: nose fold rotation V1
This changes the angle of the nasal folds, rotating them up and down (as I've poorly tried to demonstrate in the screenshot). V1 affects a smaller area than V2, not really affecting any polygons around the mouth
Slider #6: nose fold rotation V2
Does the same thing as V1 nose fold rotation, but affects a larger area - this one moves more polys, including some near the mouth (despite the screenshots I swear they're different!). I only intended to make one slider for this, but couldn't decide which to keep so you get both :D
Slider #7: nose length
This slider makes the nose longer and shorter on the face, but in a different way to maxis' slider for the same thing in that the whole nose is stretched, centered in the middle of the nose, not just the nose tip moving up and down. (please ignore the clipping on the brow! the furthest point on the slider was too much for this guy's face but works fine on others)
Slider #8: nose tip length
like the maxis nose length slider, but only affects the tip of the nose
Slider #9: nose bridge shape V1
Makes the top of the nose bridge narrow and the nose tip wide, or the top of the bridge wide and the tip narrow, forming a triangular shape
Slider #10: nose bridge shape V2
Like slider #9, but affects only the nose bridge and not the nose tip, making it taper inwards our outwards from the top.
Slider #11: broken nose
forms a curve on the nose bridge off to the left, or off to the right, a bit like what you might get if your sim broke their nose
---
phew, that's all of them! hopefully these are ones that haven't been done before (I didn't previously have any of these, anyway), and that you might find at least some of these useful :D
As always, if you spot any issues, please let me know and I'll try and fix it asap.
I should've made a nice even number to make the first preview a bit nicer haha
For those of us who play Open For Business in The Sims 2, cafes left a lot to be desired. Sims could come in and "shop" for food which would go into their inventory, but then they'd have to take it home... instead of sitting down and eating it.
The only other option was to run a full "restaurant" with a menu, host, server and more... And we all know that restaurants in The Sims 2 are hard, lol.
But what if there was another way?
Introducing my "Cafe Mod".
This is similar to the idea of "Pay To Play", but instead, its "Pay to Eat". Sims will take a plate of food from a display, pay a certain amount of money either to the business owner or to the ether, bypassing the cash register, sit down and eat it.
That's it, that's the mod 😂 Well, plus a little bit more.
Food does not need to be set "for sale" - if you do that, sims will buy it as normal. Thus it also cannot be "restocked", you need to manually do that (sorry).
The cost of the food has been tuned by me to make a nice little profit over what it costs for the sim to make the food, especially if you make group servings, however this can all be tuned inside the 'Maxis Foods update' in the mod.
To mark a lot as a 'cafe' (or any other venue where you want sims to pay to eat a plate of food) you must place my Cafe Lot Marker:
Which will trigger the mod to activate. Without this, sims will eat free on a community lot as normal. This is found in Misc/Misc for $100.
The lot controller has a few extra functions which can be enabled with the pie menu -
"Toggle Object Model" will toggle through some different models for the object. I converted this item from The Sims 4 cos I liked it (and added deco slots!!), but I've also included a bunch of vanilla Sims 2 meshes -
Cos Teapot!!!
There's also the ability to ban pets from coming to the cafe, unless you want a pet friendly cafe of course -
and you can also toggle a feature called "Eat or Go Home", which will force sims to leave the lot if they're not hungry.
In addition to this, I'm uploading separately some Food Business Improvement mods, which will tie into another upcoming project.
Should you download this mod, it will do a few things:
1. More customers will appear on your lot at every business rank
2. More customers will appear on a non-owned food venue that has the cafe lot marker
3. You'll be able to get away with under-paying your employees a little bit easier 😏 lol
I also highly, HIGHLY recommend to use THIS MOD in tandem with my cafe mods, or barista machines are crazy.
To use this mod, you cannot use the default Sims 2 Decra Chill, as sims cannot interact with food inside of that unless it's "for sale". I have created a custom Decra Chill, Repo'd to the original:
This will keep the food fresh, stop it from spoiling, and sims can pick up the plates to eat. It will also automatically set food to the "served" state if you bulk-make meals with the "make food" option on the fridge, as usually this food still has to be "served" by a sim in order to interact with it (lame).
I added a bunch of slots; 8 on each shelf. The 3 at the front and back are designed for small plates, whereas 2 in the middle row are designed for larger plates to go side-by-side.
There are 3 decorative slots on top; be aware if you place food up there, it will not be kept fresh!
I also took @veranka-downloads's 3t2 Deliciously Indulgent Bakery displays and tweaked them:
I added more slots to the shelves, removed the glass on the front and added fake sliding glass doors to the back instead to simulate how an employee would place food inside, and it won't look weird when a sim walks up and grabs food to eat.
Similarly, I took @jinxxsims's 4t2 Get To Work Baker's Cousin Display and did the same thing -
With cleaner more modern look handles on the back.
I've re-used the GUIDs from the original conversions cos my mod makes them more functional anyway, but yeah you can only have one version sorry.
All displays are found in Surfaces / Shelves.
As I said I have updated nearly all Maxis Foods to have a cost, and included a spreadsheet detailing the cost to make versus cost to eat.
I have also included resources and instructions for how to update custom foods to work with the mod. If a food hasn't been updated, it will simply cost $0 to eat at a cafe.
VERY IMPORTANT: If you have default replacements for the Maxis foods, they MAY not work.
This is because in testing it came to our attention that some defaults have not been created as true default replacements which only override the Mesh and Textures, but rather are a custom food that simply overrides the GUID of the Maxis food.
This will break the Cafe Mod.
If you'd like to use your defaults, you must update them the same way you'd update a custom food.
For my own game, I have updated some of Jacky93's food defaults to actually be true defaults which only override the required resources and will therefore work by default with my mod, which you can download if you want them.
I think that's all I have to say for now, lol.
As always, please report any bugs / problems / conflicts and I will try to solve them!

AFBottomFlairedPantsSandals and TFBottomFlairedPantsSandals replaced with Memento’s 4t2 Trillyke Love Shot Jeans and ItsDiamondEyesUniverse’s TF conversion, respectively. These pants replace the ones Brandi Broke wears upon first playing Pleasantview, and I believe she’ll be wearing the polka-dotted pair if you haven’t already changed her clothes.
Adults can access all of the pants except for the ones with the hearts at the end, which are exclusive to teens for some reason. Teens, on the other hand, can access all seven of the pants pictured above. They’re everyday only, and both ages have all morphs (the pregmorphs are pictured at the far ends of the preview image). Since these pants come with the base game, you don’t need any EPs installed for them to function properly. That said, for those of you with the University EP installed, I have included an option of having these pants enabled for young adults.
With all that said, you can download the AF (and YF) replacement here, the TF one here, or all ages combined here!~
Big thanks to:
@memento-sims for the wonderful 4t2 conversion
@itsdiamondeyesuniverse for the wonderful TF conversion
I’ve been using guatla’s broken kitchen for years and still really love it, but I wanted to change it up to make it feel fresher to me. the counters & add-ons are still a work in progress, but for now I have sixteen recolors of the broken fridge and ten recolors of the stove for you. I’ve also edited the stove mesh so the cooker sits straight. unfortunately I don’t think I changed the GUID, so you can’t have this and the original mesh in your game. my full sims ecosystem isn’t set up on the new PC yet, but maybe I’ll change it & update this in the future? idk.
and five recolors of holysimoly’s 50s fridge. the pattern stretched a bit too much on the top & sides for my liking, so I’ve changed them since taking the preview pic. here’s what they look like now:
meshes & swatches included

Puppies and kittens with patterns you say? Indeed! It turns out that coat patterns can be enabled for the tiny ages, so I jumped right on it and threw together a new download to share with all of you. And let me tell you, they are so cute! I absolutely adored having kittens and puppies run around with markings on them, and it even had the added bonus of making each one more easily distinguishable from their siblings. As with most all pet mods I’ve had experience with, this will only affect pets that haven’t yet been born in game. No magically appearing markings, sorry guys. Even so, just imagine the possibilities!
I hope you guys will have as much fun with this cuteness as I am!
